EskWeston 696
To be honest i would not be gutted if we miss out on the CL spot. It would be a shame. But the main reason the club look to the CL is from a financial aspect. It would not be the worst thing in the world to take a season out the CL, use the UEFA cup to try new things, young players ect. and built a new team that we are crying out to do and focus on the league for next season. Changingman_2000 876
The result against the handbrakes will "spur" us on. Give the pub team that is Barca a horsing tomorrow night. The Arse at the new library will be a nervy one for them now after losing to Wigan as they can be caught, and we have better players than them. Finish the job off against Barca away then we are set up for the run in.Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cole were class against the handbrakes. Sheer class. LDN Blue 7,903
Wigan have done us a huge favour now. We must capitalise.Furthermore, the FA have confirmed that sixth place with now be a Europa League spot. Hopefully Newcastle will be willing to settle for less.Yeah but you just know we won't capitalise. We've had so many opportunities to grab this race for third by the neck and each time we blow it. If we'd have just beaten Tottenham in the league we'd be in such a favourable position at the moment with Arsenal this weekend and Newcastle coming up. Sigh, hindsight
Laylabelle 9,539
We've had so many chances to go level with Spurs but every time they loose they go a bit crazy and do the same!
CHOULO19 24,332
Still don't think we could get to fourth. Not unless we can get atleast 13 points from our five remaining games.
Laylabelle 9,539
Yeah chances of that with the games we have pretty damn slim........unless Arsenal's shit stage is starting now which help us on sat
Jase 43,479
As much as I have enjoyed the magnificent cup wins under RDM, I can only wish we can swap those wins with 3 points in the league.
Henrique 9,133
Our table is really tough, Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal in the remaining 5 games of the season, and you put 2 Barcelona's games and a FA Cup in the whole thing.I dont think we will make it. Its really sad because getting into a CL semi-finals is really special, its been 3 years since our last one and wanted us to get into another one next season.I just hate AVB and the board, because they fired the stupid manager just too late. I also dont get along with the people who were supporting the guy until his final moments.
BlueLyon 9,359
With win over Arsenal, everything is possible. If we beat barca tomorrow, everyone playing against us will shit their pants
