Rüdiger for me lacks football IQ and ball playing abilities. Tbf he wasnt just 'good' under Conte. I felt before his drop in form he was probably playing better than a lot of CBs in the PL at the time and definitely better than a lot of the CBs of a similar age in Europe bar de Ligt and a few others. He has potential still but I am not sure if he will ever reach those levels of performances again. I have a feeling that the system helped him as well as it did Luiz the previous year but thats a different matter you still have to perform. Yes he was pretty good under Conte, the system was immense for both him and DL. He just doesnt look like getting bétter though, and so weak in the air. If we need to keep one of zouma and Andreas I will keep zouma. That is not really the problem here, Christensen is great if you ask him to intercept and play against techincal team but once he has to play against physical team which is the majority of epl he struggle. Last few months if not for a year, so much people have been bashing Christensen saying he does not have the mentality to play here and is not tough enough and needs to be shipped on etc. He turns in a top performance and now people realise he is talented. That is why I am never too harsh on our players. The quality is there. Christensen is still relatively young and a good defender. The lack of support for our players is mind-blowing sometimes.
