I was laughing about the look on Platter's face for about 2 weeks! Let's not forget that the EPL is not the easiest place to ref. The refs in the Italian and Spanish league seem much better than here simply because they have an easier job. Not that there aren't EPL referees that are just not good enough=Foy. Laylabelle 9,596 Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Surprised Atwell hasnt made some crazy decison with us seeing thats how he's known forFair enough they are human and make mistakes but it doesnt make sense when they make a major mistake...and then get handed a massive game which they cant handle!And worse is Managers cant say what they mean or how they feel because they get punished for it.End of the day mistakes from refs can be costly postion wise and when its the same ones maing mistakes... It doesnt help when each ref has different standards.What may be a booking to one isnt to another when it should be the same rules throughout.They need to be made clear.And when cards are overturned.Which is good but if the sending off changed the game and points were dropped.To late then And then the whole extra linesmen thing..whats the point when they all miss vital moments!Having an extra pair of eyes doesnt help when they look the wrong way! It's understandable that they should make mistakes, but week in week out we watch refs in various EPL matches make horrendous calls which sway games, only for the same guy to be in charge of another big game the following week.
