Rebuilding of Chelsea and players who you want out or in?

To me, it depends on who comes on in.

Now Lampard has been poor, but I think he'd have been inclined to stay more quiet and accepting if there was someone on the pitch doing a better role than him. Therefore I would very much keep him around and make him understand he's a squad player, and make him understand that better players are ahead of him. Meireles doesn't really provide a great argument as such.

I'd keep Cole, but again it depends on the manager, if they play Bertrand more and Cole understands/accepts this then it's fine. Cole, in my eyes, has always been very quiet and nice to managers of past. Including Scolari. Who knows what went down with André and himself, but the lad deserves a second chance because he's still playing very well.

I would not keep around: Hilario, Drogba, Torres, Kalou, Ferreira, Turnbull & if Mikel gets an offer then him.

Wasn't Mikel wanted by Anzhi?

Mikel should be kept unless we get an offer for him in excess of 15m. Meireles is a decent backup option. We can't replace all these players in one season so Meireles can stay for another year. Apart from that I agree with the general consensus

I believe we the fans have done quite a job in regards of sending and bringing players in past few seasons. We even played enough youngsters as far as I'm concerned.

Now it's up to the Board, unfortunately. And support, I mean funds and freedom, they give to the new manager, whoever gets appointed.

I'm not going to speculate, to prevent possible jinx. I feel I said too much last summer.

These threads are getting depressing too. Wishful thinking and all that.

It feels little late at this point of time.

This is my rough prediction of what the squad for next season could be.

Goalkeepers:

Cech

Courtois

Turnbull (sell him if he wants to actually PLAY, but he could be 3rd cover for Carling Cupcake)

Defenders:

Ivanovic

Hutchinson (Start off slowly, mainly reserves, until he's 100% in the league)

Luiz

Terry

Cahill

Youngster (mainly Reserves or Loan)

Bertrand

New LB Cover that I haven't thought of yet

Midfielders:

Robben (makes a triumphant return in summer)

Essien

Romeu

Ramires

Meireles

Mata

De Bruyne

McEachran (Maybe some Reserve action, short loan, but he needs to make at least 5-10 appearances)

Benayoun

Piazon (Reserves or Short Loan)

Strikers:

Torres

Drogba

Lukaku

Sturridge

Bamford (could mainly play in Reserves, but sometimes come out for 5 minute cameos?)

In which sentence did i state that Lampard should start always?

He, at best, should be a sub, similar to a giggs figure or Totti

His Figure and moral will always be a boost in the locker room
