We should bid the release clause for Koke. Creativity, assists, setpieces, laliga experience and hardwork mixed in one.

He said multiple times he wants to stay in Atletico and end his career there, he rejected Barca last summer and im sure he rejected more clubs (including us) this summer.

If it was a possible move Koke wouldnt be in Atletico right now.

The biggest difference between us and City financially is that they have an almost limitless amount of wealth, we don't. We rely on only one guy for our transfer budget. They have an entire conglomerate backing them. They're about to spend 150 mil pounds in this transfer window like it's nothing and can do so every season if they choose with the relaxing of FFP. We can't do this.

If we want to sign Pogba it means we can spend around the same numbers of City this summer.

You blamed us signing Willian earlier on as why he quit,do you see him or Oscar demanding a transfer now because we signed Pedro or when we signed Cuadrado. At big clubs pro footballers expect competition.

It's all hearsay what was said behind closed doors, you did not witness it the same as i didn't.

but Mourinho has let many players leave Chelsea in both his spells as manager. Not one of them cry to the press like the boy does. Jose has not felt the need to speak about another player in the terms he has about the boy.

I'm off to bed now anyway.too late to stay up talking about players unproven at big clubs who failed at chelsea.even if they are those who expected special treatment.

Oscar will never make the most assists in a top league. His price tag will never become as high as De Bruyne's. Drop Hazard a few weeks and see what happens. Oscar-De Bruyne comparison is silly.

He knew he wouldn't start for Barca then, and he had more desire then to stay after they won the league. If we break that release clause, it could be very different for us

De Bruyne is better then Navas, but Navas gives them better balance, i dont think Kevin improves them much at all.

he makes their squad improve multifold.

also, honestly, i dont rate navas at all. he is a technicaly better valencia. poor finishing, no vision whatsoever, but immense workrate and pressing and good dribbling. there were times last season when city were craving for some creativity except from silva. think KDB can provide that.

This guy is done and dusted. Whether he is good or bad he is longer a Chelsea player. I don't care if he turns out to be good as long as he doesn't come back to bit us when we play City.

City and United have a very good team this season (both the starting 11 and bench is pretty good ) Unfortunately the same can't be said for us :( and I am ok with as long as we use our youth team well . Breaking the bank will do us no good, we need to get some of good players up and running on the pitch.

Develop Piazon, he might be terrible for few games but I am sure he will get better (isn't that what good managers are supposed to do ? bring out the best in the player or mould him to be a best ?)

For some reason my new browser doesn't support the quote function anymore :s

Anyway, this must be the truest and best comment I've read about KDB so far:

No tattoos. No nightclubs just wearing a jeans and t shirt and only thinking and breeding (assume he meant breathing :DD) football.

Another argument which you see coming back a lot from the Mourinho flock is "He was a cry baby who whined to the media all the time about not being on the pitch."

Not once did he do that, not once.

He only requested - internally - to leave during the January window because the Belgian national coach told him he needed to play regularly to retain his position in the national team ahead of the World Cup.

Is that not legitimate?

It was Mourinho who started blabbing about De Bruyne - and still does!!! (we've only seen that last week again) - when he got the transfer request.

And if De Bruyne says in an interview, AFTERWARDS, that he wasn't very happy at Chelsea because he didn't play a lot, isn't that the most normal thing in the world?

But NEVER EVER was he crying to the media while still a Chelsea player. Not after a million attempts from UK and Belgian media to provoke bold statements from him.

KDB is a true footballer, I bow down to him.

Don't give me any shit about him not being given a chance when he was here. He was given enough to stake his claim at the start of the season. He was utterly abysmal against fucking Swindon Town in the League Cup and that, justifiably, saw him lose his place full-time to Willian, who hit the ground running.

I have no regrets in us selling him. There's no way we could have known he was going to develop into the player he has, but he certainly wouldn't have at Chelsea. It's like the Matic situation - he went to a smaller club and got the necessary game time to develop. If he arrives in England and is absolutely outstanding, then fair play to the boy, but he was nothing special when he was at Chelsea and whilst he has clearly improved, he simply isn't a £60m player. If he's given the game time and the chance to develop, he could turn into an excellent acquisition in the long-term, but I think anyone expecting him to tear the league to pieces immediately will be left disappointed.

But when you're competing with Hazard and Willian, you're not going to get into the team unless you're an outstanding talent. At the minute, as much as I have been impressed with KdB in the Bundesliga, I'd rather have Pedro, without any question, based on his compatibility with our team's system and Mourinho's philosophy. No way is this kid, who is totally unproven in the PL, worth the amount of money City are investing. He's a massive risk, and right now, I'd say Sterling is better value for money.

excellent post.

probably cfc's only regret was not to put the sell on clause.

Doesn't his agent (De Koster) stated back in middle of October that Kevin would like to leave Chelsea?

Wouldn't care at all if he had gone to Bayern or something and become an amazing player. Going to a direct rival where in my opinion he'll thrive and win them plenty of points really stings.

City have bought absolutely brilliantly. People were saying we "won the league in the summer" last year by signing the exact players we needed. City may very well have done the same. Can't see any PL team being able to stop their attack. Yaya seems like he actually wants to try this season, Kompany is fit and back to his best so far, and they've signed another expensive CB that should improve their defense.

I'd totally agree with that. Many clubs are reluctant (naturally) to accept those terms, however, and buy-back clauses are equally as unlikely in situations like this. Nevertheless, I think we missed an opportunity with regards to selling-on fees with one or two players but I stand by my original point: how on earth were we to know he'd develop to such an extent over an 18-month period?
