CHOULO19 24,332
Wonder what are we gonna call them in couple of decades. How about not referring to them, or any body else, by any word that reflects the color of their skin, or for that matter, their ethnicity, beliefs or any other thing that inspires prejudice preconceptions and intolerance. Kez 2,727
Gus Poyet has spoke about the Evra story"I never went out crying like a baby, like Patrice Evra, saying that someone said something to me."http://www.thesun.co...r-race-row.htmlhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/8899191/Sir-Alex-Ferguson-says-Gus-Poyets-views-on-Manchester-Uniteds-Patrice-Evra-in-Luis-Suarez-race-row-a-bit-silly.html

BlueLion. 21,491
Just what we needed. I find myself embarrassed to support this club sometimes - because of the actions of the players players. Of course, I'll back Terry until he is potentially proven guilty, but then I'll need a rain check. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable have a racist adulterer leading our team out every week. I just hope, for the sake of the club, the fans and the image of the Chelsea brand that he didn't say what he was alleged to have said... Blue Armour 4,438
I can't believe people today are treating the whole racism issue in such a frivolous manner. This was such a serious issue in the past century, that bringing trivial incidents like this to the fore is an insult to to people in the past who had to actually suffer mental and physical trauma when trying to stamp out racism from society.I bet if Martin Luther King were alive and heard of this incident and the uproar it has generated, he would just shake his head....This really has nothing to do with the cause..its just plain sensationalism.. If only they weren't such pussies and had acted like men....I was speaking to an Indian guy today at the my work place. And he told me that after 911, during one of his mid terms, he and another white guy got the same answer wrong but the professor deducted 20 marks for the wrong answer while the white guy only had 5 marks deducted for getting the same answer wrong. All he told me was I could have raised the issue about being discriminated because of the race but instead I decided to work my ass off and not give the dickhead an opportunity to deduct any marks on my final. He got an A+ in his final. This is a Joke....If JT gets punished, Anton's had it from fans specially JT fans. May not be in the stadium but he will be subjected racist comments on streets or twitter or FB. Because he made a big issue out of it. Had he just ignored it, and given JT benefit of the doubt things would have been just normal for everyone.

Kez 2,727
Karma has come back to bite JT on the ass. His previous actions have made him public enemy number one & if he's a racist or not (which I still strongly believe he isn't) the media and our rivals will say he's guilty anyway. Maybe just maybe he should of kept it in his pants.

We played the 'innocent till proven guilty' card throughout this entire process. Now that it seems he'll be proved guilty, perspectives will be changed. Naked Mole Rat 437
There is no way I or most other people can tell if he'd actually said something racist to Ferdinand. I never thought the lipreading video was enough for people to go about claiming he's racist, but at the same time, what Adam Phillip and some of the other players said about him doesn't really tell me much about what happened either, although it's good to see them back their captain. Maybe Adam's right in that JT isn't racist, but he could've just blurted it in anger. In any case, if he turns out to be guilty, there is no doubt he should be punished. Racist remarks like that shouldn't be tolerated anywhere on this planet. And this is a more personal thing, but if it proves to be true, he'll let everyone except the journalists down, and he should give up both England and Chelsea armbands. He already made one huge mistake as the face of this club but still was given a second chance. I appreciate his commitment to the team, but it turns out he actually said it, he will be an embarrassment more than anything else, and I will not back him.But having said that, I don't believe this was something they should've taken to the court. I don't live in UK, and I don't know what things are like there, but to me, this is something the FA and the club should take care of, because even if he had said something racist to Ferdinand, it most likely would've been of frustration rather than of malice. If he'd just called him a 'cunt,' people wouldn't even be talking about it, and I don't think the fact that he called him a 'black cunt' should make a world of difference and turn this into something the court should be involved in especially when this happened during an exchange of angry words in a heated football match. It wasn't like he'd beat the crap out of Ferdinand like Gerrard did that DJ a couple years ago or like he'd insulted him in public. Like I said, I don't condone racism and will be more than just disappointed at Terry if he proves guilty, but people are making a ridiculously huge fuss about this, and that's not right.
