Its wrong because your criticism shouldnt include Mata. Mata practically almost does what he is supposed to, and does it well. Hell even when he has a poor game he at least creates something. He is more creative than our midfield combined.

When I compare us to the top teams, I see that we're great in the build up and applying pressure - it's just that the players can't connect in the final stages of the attack (right before the finish)..

For instance Torres' pass to Sturridge should have ended in a goal.. Mata's cross should have reached whoever was there... City and United connect very well so I don't know why we can't do it..

I know it's a very vague point but that's what seems so obvious.

If you look at my post and read what I said. I said he hasn't touch the ball or he can't do it on his own. That's not criticising him. All of our players have been quite shocking, but with our uncreative midfield it's not a surprise.
