Chelsea Football Club has issued the following statement in response to reports that we have made a world record transfer offer for Kaka.

'We have never made an offer to AC Milan for Kaka and therefore not one at this extraordinary level. As a consequence we have not discussed a salary with the player either. Any reports to the contrary are totally untrue.'

Calm down.. How does us not signing Kaka ruin things for next season.

We'll be making big signings this season, we weren't relying on Kaka at all

indeed we were not dependent on him signing

but i cant see us signing any 'big' names if the club have gone to this much effort by putting an official statement on the site..

almost trying to calm us all down and lower are expectations

now thats real talk.

if man city reach the top 4, our 3rd place mentality atm with liverpool actually thinking they could win it means kaka' or a player of the same quality is what could be the difference.

The squad we have atm is more than capable of winning the title next season imo. Look at the state we were in just before Scolari left. Had he not fucked around so much we could have been celebrating a title win. The players needed someone they could believe in. Hiddink brought that, and the vibes coming out of Milan about Ancelotti from the players is that he's a very good man manager.

That alone gives me hope for next season wether Kaka, Ribery or the scientifically cloned Pele do or do not sign for us.

I doubt anyone was genuinely thinking we were going to get Kaka several days ago, so for me it doesnt change anything.
