I thought summer transfer period is the last one before FFP come into place?

Had a look in wikipedia. Apparently FFP is on already, except the rules will come to force fully in 2015. 2012-2013 should be the first year with clubs financial books under FFP regulations.

I read something interesting though:

"In response, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay insisted that the club were in "a strong position" to meet UEFA's initiatives and were on course to halve their losses during the following financial year, having reduced their player’s bonus scheme [...]"

that explains the all-round laziness we see

Chelsea to wait on Lucas Moura until the summer

Contact was made on Deadline Day, but the São Paulo youngster looks set to head for Europe this summer.

The Blues late approach this window was too late for a deal to be pushed through and with São Paulo still waiting to confirm the capture of Nilmar, the Brazilian side were unwilling to release one of their most important attacking options.

Chelsea were quiet in the January window, signing just Gary Cahill, Kevin de Bruyne (immediately sent on-loan) and young striker Patrick Bamford, despite the sale of Nicolas Anelka.

Yet, it may not be a case of cut-backs with talk of summer deals for both Lucas and the cup-tied Willian (Shakhtar) being negotiated.

Lucas Moura has been in fine form once more at the start of this season, scoring for fun as São Paulo continue their 100% record in the State Championships without new signings Jadson and Osvaldo.

With each passing match, it seems Lucas is determined to bolster his reputation, so it is easy to see why André Villas-Boas is keen on moving quickly.

Why not? if the club wants real changes for next season, its realistic. Its alot of money, but you never know with Chelsea.

Well I sure won't be upset if we sign them both, but it is much more likely that we only sign one of them seeing as they both probably cost a lot. But like you said, you never know with Chelsea.

Don't argue with Henrique, he is the Brazilian Guillem Balague and knows all the goings-on.

I wasn't taking jabs at you like you are at me. I was merely talking about your statement. Also, since when do those pointless statistics under the avatar serve as a measure to critique someone? I must be in the wrong forums if that's the case.

Few observations

1. I never made a statement, it was Waterfall you quoted.

2. Im not taking a jab at you, simply making the point that you joined here very recently and are on telling people that they lack credibility for not knowing much about a certain player.

3.Those pointless statistics i assume your referring to are rep given to you by members on the forum for posts they like. Keep up telling people how much credibility they lack and you wont see yours going up much.

not a jab at you just trying to give you a hint
