Why isn't Dalglish getting no stick?

Not one to defend Arsenal but the way Wenger and Villas Boas have been getting villified this season time after time you would think they were mass serial killers.

Yet despite all the problems both managers have had to overcome both have guided their team's above Liverpool who are managed by Kenny "the Messiah" Dalglish who has spent nearly £100m in the summer yet cannot get his team above 2 teams who have had issue's throughout the season.

Not being funny but if Wenger and AVB have been getting shitted on by the media all season shouldon't it be Kenny's turn now?

Because he's at Liverpool.

It's the same with Carroll, he's hardly been better than Torres (imo actually worse) but who do the Daily Fail pick on every time? write 4 articles about in the space of 2 days? yep.

Oh yea and no one's talking about Downing either, Mr 0 goals and 0 assists in 14 games

I can't but laugh to scousers who actually though they could challenge for the title this year :D

You are right, the media simply looks away (and spots Chelsea or Arse :D) when they see LIverpool...

At least we sold shitloads of Torres shirts while Liverpool couldn't do even that with Carroll :P

It is because they are French and Portuguese, and didn't play for Arsenal and Chelsea in the 80s which coincidently was the last time Liverpool had a good team.

Liverpool couldn't win the title with Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and Alonso...So how can they win it with an injury prone Gerrard, Carrol, Adam and Downing?

Couldn't agree more Tomo, it annoys me it really does. I think these writers are liverpool supporters, they never say a bad word about the club or give them stick. And if anyones noticed, liverpool supporters comments always go mainstream, like they're always right. My friend was telling me, i don't know how Dalglish is getting praised all the time when he's done fuck all, Wenger has gotten huge slack this season and his team is above Liverpool, and that's with them letting go of 2 key players in there midfield. And he's spot on there, in my opinion Dalgilish at the moment should be getting the most stick more than any other manager. He spent 20 million on Downing (good player but lacks specialities and work rate in his game), 35 on Caroll (don't need to explain), 20 million on Henderson (who in my opinion is utter garbage). Enrique and Adam were good buys with little money spent.

I'm also getting sick of Luis Suarez praised as if he's the best striker in the league, he's scored 4 or 5 goals this season, and isn't anywhere near on Van Persie's, Dzeko, Aguero's, Rooneys, Adebayors, Ba's or Yakubu's goals. Infact John Terry has got the same amount of goals than him, he's a good player don't get me wrong, possibly world class, but i think he's very overrated, if he was the striker he gets made out to be, he would be on over 10 goals now, and he's had chances to be there but hasn't finished them, bolton game for example, missed 3 clean chances.

almost all the journos will have started watching football as boys in the 70s and 80s ...naturally they supported Liverpool ,Man Utd and to a lesser extent

Arsenal . We will have to wait another 30years for our young Chelsea fans to get jobs as journos

that could be an interesting point, but Liverpool are mainly praised, you get Man United who do get slack, Arsenal all the time, but Liverpool never get it ever. Even when its needed no one will put the club down, don't get me wrong it's a great club with a lot of trophies and accomplishments, but the media even today makes them invincible and untouchable, yet they havent won a league title in about 20 years.

^ So true that.

Read this on another forum, dunno if this has been posted here already -

A kid knocks at kenny dalglishs house and starts singing away in a manger, he opens the door and says to the kid "fuck off lad, ive wasted enough money on carols this year"

Though it does feel a bit ironic to be posting this on a Chelsea forum

Yes I mentioned this a while back. Similarly there are a disproportionate number of Asian fans that support ManUtd and Liverpool for different reasons, to do with hooliganism.

Liverpool lost because of Reina's failure to hold onto a shot and not because they RIGHTLY had a man sent off.

bbbut the BBCs take on it...''The sending off was crucial to the outcome and was a controversial one...His dismissal meant that a game that had been even swung in favour of Fulham and Liverpool's resistance was broken when Reina made a bad error.''

I think that Manure's treble winning season, 1999, won them A LOT of fans in Asia, since that was about the time when the Premier League and Champions League was just beginning to be broadcast live across most countries there. At least I can say so about my country, India, which possibly has the biggest no of browbeating, insolent Manure fans who have no clue about what football really is.

Thats true AVBlue.Theres a lot in Surrey as well, anywhere but Manchester really

Also in the 1970s and 80s when there was a lot of hooliganism and most British Asians only watched football on TV -this was also the Liverpool successful era, so a lot of first generation British Asians watched them, leaving their offspring and second generation to support them. When the camera pans along the front row at Anfield or OT theres quite a lot of guys in turbans -more than what you see at other clubs
