nyikolajevics 2,698
Bayern Leverkusen did the same thing a few weeks ago, but for different circumstances.Bayer's decision was understandable, they just had to do it. This one is strange though.. Why did they release them? Boateng and Sam are pretty good and young players, couldn't Schalke wait three weeks and sell them? I expect it has something to do with their attitude and possibly something behind the scenes.Very unusual thing to do, but there must be a proper reason behind it. The fact their form hasn't been good adds to it as well.

Not exactly young...Anyway, these two links provide more info on what happened.http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32690972http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/11/schalke-release-kevin-prince-boateng-sidney-sam-immediate-effect

I was talking about selling them. 27/28 is young enough to sell a player for a fair price. Emir Spahic - who was released by Leverkusen a few weeks ago - is 35 so Leverkusen wouldn't get money for him anyway. Boateng and Sam are young, many clubs might be interested in signing them. Kevin Prince Boateng and Sidney Sam are released by Schalke:http://www.schalke04.de/en/news/150511_breaking/page/1587--86-86-.htmlwhat happened did they goto the club the night before the match? Was Marco Höger the designated driver & that is why he got a lesser fine?

nyikolajevics 2,698
Mönchengladbach and Wolfsburg are now 100% to participate in the Champions League. It'll be nice to see some fresh faces. Schalke are pretty boring, I won't miss them at all.(I hope Lyon and Lazio also qualifies, I'm sick of watching the same teams playing against each other every season)
