Haha, yes, i agree. I think deep down he knows this as well. If two teams offer for you, one has a chance in winning the title, and qualifies for the champions league, the other team, will be lucky if they finish 4th, and is playing in the europa league. It's not exactly a hard choice.

It's sad that nearly 10 years on from Roman taking over money is still being touted as the primary reason for choosing Chelsea, they go on like it's the only thing that can attract a player, when we have been in and around the top 5 teams in Europe in terms of consistency since 2003. Three leagues, three fa cups, 2 league cups, great showings in the champions league reaching a final, and the semi's six times. That's better than the "Great" Real Madrid in that time frame.

You wouldn't expect anything else from someone like Harry though, would you? The money line is a coping mechanism for small clubs, because they can't admit that clubs like Chelsea are indeed infinitely bigger and more attractive than them.

Exactly. He just seems bitter to me, but i think he knows why Mata picked us, if he doesn't then he needs his head checked.

I wish there are more 'mata vs' clips on youtube, there's only three or four. And i have watched them all, about three times. I seriously just want to see this guy in action now, it's a shame that he might not feature against Norwhich, because after that there's internationals, and then we have to wait another two weeks.

Avb's team is shaping up nicely now, hopefully we will be able to see Romeu, and Lukaku in action as well in the coming weeks. Some other fans still say it's still the same old boring Chelsea from last year. But hopefully now we will be able to play nice creative and attacking football, because we are buying players that have great composure on the ball, and great passing abilities, like Mata, Romeu, and(hopefully) Modric.

No your right I wouldn't, it just annoys me. Fair enough if it was 2003 and players were dropping everything to suddenly join us they'd have a point but at this stage of the game we're an established winner in what some call the best league in the world. but sure haters gonna hate ^_^

Mata's answer to 'Arry

I want to come to England to win trophies - and that's why I accepted Chelsea's offer. It was also a question of sporting achievement, not money. Arsenal and Tottenham were both interested in me but they did not compare with the Blues. I want the Premier League title and this is possible at Chelsea.

Fernando Torres helped influence my decision but speaking directly with Villas-Boas was the decisive factor. He explained how his style will be based on 4-3-3 and how important I will be to his plans.

Hey, have you ever realised how medicals take long at Chelsea?Lukaku took a week. I wonder if players are being asked to complete a whole 21km london marathon. :redcard:

I would take my sweet time, if my medical was being done by Eva Carneiro

Uhm you do know you can watch Valencia matches without being a fan right? You can watch Silva at City and the Spanish NT too..

Anyone who says Silva relies on his dribbling skills and plays solo most of the time is either drunk, on drugs and/or has no idea what they are talking about when analysing Silva's game. Saying Silva is faster than Mata makes no sense at all too as Mata beats him in terms of pace with absolute ease.

Oh yes I know we can watch Valencia and also Man City games. How many of their games over a season do YOU watch for 90 minutes. If you tell me you have followed every Game of Valencia over the entire season for last 4 years and Every Game of Man City over the entire Season for last 2 years, I will go by your verdict. So have you?

I just dont like people passing on verdict by watching MOTD or couple of games of Valencia.

Also, what makes you say Mata beats Silva "with ease" in terms of pace? Did you see them run together or something/?

Silva is much of a dribbler and more direct than Mata is. This was my perception even before from whatever little I saw of both at Valencia and I feel better now that my perception was right having heard the same from a Valencia fan who has watched them much more than you and me. Mata himself has said that he does not like to play direct and take on a defender but relies more on movement. If you cant except we signed a player like that then, I suggest you swallow the bitter pill.
