It's not about that, god people are clueless. There has been many players from many different clubs that if you REALLY care about the club and the fans. You don't put your own personal achievement ahead of the club . When Jose was asked about his 100 wins, he said it more important to him that we got the 3 points.

It's not that Chelsea bought him out of pity and he owes anyone anything. He was bought because he was good. And he repaid that trust with a CL and EL title. If Abramovic tells Jose tomorrow there's no more money and Hazard, Oscar etc have to be sold, you tell me how long he'll stay. ;-)

It wasn't about him not fighting, he clearly wasn't fancied by Mou as a number 10. Whenever he did play it was 90% out on the flanks where he is less influential.

You'd have players like Oscar or Hazard who we're under performing but they'd still be starting in the following game. Mata has a sub par performance and he's benched for 3/4 games.

The same with Luiz it was obvious at the start of season, Jose didn't like him but he has fought and players well and he's playing all the time now.

Mata wasn't up for the fight. It's a shame but I care about Chelsea and not if poor Mata wasn't being made the star in each game. Plenty of people have sat for far longer on the bench than Mata and done so with much better grace and dignity.
