Hamilton 2,120
Good move, hopefully enough playing time over there..On Wednesday he's in the squad against Holland, but i don't think he's gonna start. Probably Benteke from Genk will, who scored 3 in 2 games in league..
Shak 22
The West Brom forum reckons he will be a guaranteed striker. Damn, I really hope so. If he's is given some faith and real prem experience, it could be a huge season for him. But the 'Kakuta experience' is always a possibility.Kakuta isn't a hard worker like Lukaku though. And apparently he wasn't given opportunities at Bolton & Fulham whilst on loan because he didn't speak good english and he didn't fully understand the coach's tactical instructions.I personally have a gut feeling that Lukaku will have a loan spell like McEachran did at Swansea. He'll be on the bench for most of the games but the coach won't play him because it's a tight game and he lacks experience.
Superblue 6,372
Would it be wrong of me to put a cheeky bet on that he outscores Torres next season??!!In all seriousness, I really hope for his and Chelsea's sakes he gets good minutes and a few goals under his belt this season. A couple of loan spells in the premier league over the next couple of seasons will hopefully mould him into the player we need him to become. We haven't seen if Lukaku can thrive when given a genuine run in a Premier League team? For every Carlton Cole to Villa, there was Mikael Forssell to Birmingham. Nic! 301
He might start Wednesday. He played games in pre-season. Good to see that over at WBA forums they're superexcited with Lukaku.

Kinol 337
Sad thing is that when Lukaku was at Anderlecht he was a first team starter for the national team But Belgium doesnt really have any good strikers. If he starts getting some 1st team football he will reatain that spot easily. Stats

He then became a slave salesman and got married to queen Victoria the second and become king. capriccioso

Jype 6,398
West Brom have sold Simon Cox to Nottingham Forest. Good to see them making room for Lukaku but imo they should still be looking to sell at least one more, Long or Odemwingie preferably. LeonDavis23 371
happy to see this guy go, he just needed more playing time.so we have 2 key strikers now which seems a bit thin for all the competitions and injury may occur.at least one of cavani/moses/schurrle must be signed now surely

Justin_3d 1,140
ROMELU LUKAKU’S PARTING SHOT AT CHELSEAThe Belgium striker, an £18 million buy from Anderlecht last summer, made only 12 appearances and started just one Premier League game last season.Lukaku, 19, has joined West Brom on a year-long loan and said: “I couldn’t see myself staying at Chelsea.“I sacrificed a year of my career with them and didn’t want to put up with it any more. I am relieved to have found a solution.“On the first day of pre-season I told the manager I wanted to leave.“I got sick of watching the others from the bench. I lost my hunger for the game over the past year and wasted my time.“Last season I was in the reserves alongside a young lad who had barely turned 15 and I asked myself what I was doing there.”http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/339875--------------Hyped up Belgium that is as bad as Heskey, and he want to be a starter?Ha, he is having a laugh! The Skipper 20,609
Probably completely misinterpreted. Typical English press overexagerating everything. Would love to see the original manuscript.
Nic! 301
Yeah, the original Belgian interview is different. There he just says that just wouldn't do another year like last year (which is normal I guess) and that, despite RDM trying to convince him to stay, he made up his mind to go on loan so he could play week in, week out.He just says that 'Chelsea turned out wrong for me', but that he did 'learn a lot, but also lost a year'. He continues to say: 'with all respect, it's not fun to play with the reserves'.Then he talks about his loan and that it was better for him to go to a club outside London. Steve Clarke phoned him while he in was in the USA and since then he made the decision he wanted to go WBA for a year. nachikethas
