Chelsea winger Marko Marin has been lined up for a return to his first club Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Germany international has yet to play a single minute of Premier League football since his £7million summer arrival from Werder Bremen.

Marin signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but is tempted to return home for the sake of his international career.

He came through the Borussia academy, and spent four seasons with them.

The Bundesliga club’s coach Lucien Favre now hopes to sign Marin, 23, on loan during the January transfer window.

“A player like Marin could be a good fit for us,” Favre said. “We will wait and see what happens in the winter break.

“But we’ve got nine games to go until then, so I don’t want to say more.”

A pretty BS transfer story!

He needs to be given a chance ASAP

When's the next FA Cup game? Or at least as a sub for 20+ minutes soon.

He has the pace and shooting ability to nick a late winner - we need to be exploiting that!!!

Injuries are NOT his fault - just bad luck - so saying he hasn't played is his fault is a bit harsh...

1. If Marin hasn't played, it's his own fault

2. Yes, this is bullshit

3. However if he does go we would need to bring in someone.

1. That is complete nonsense. He didn't wake up one morning and decide to get injured. For instance: Bogarde did not play because he refused to whereas Marin does not play because he can't.

2. Agreed.

3. Possibly.

1. Of course not. However even if he didn't choose to get injured it is still indirectly his own fault. He hasn't played due to his own body's problems.

3. Of course we will need to bring in someone. Our squad is already a bit thin. If Marin went we'd only have Moses.

Yes, but if that applies to seemingly average injuries like Marin's it also holds true to more serious injuries; handicapped people for instance. If a person was born a parapalegic, would you say to them it's their fault because their body has problems? Direct or indirect fault it is still a very harsh statement. You can't hold double standards for these things.

Sadly, i don't think it is. Skysprots are reporting the same thing. It is sad he has been injured but now he finds himself well down the pecking order. I hope he is given a chance but I wouldnt be surprised if the article was true, especially with Skysports reporting on it, whose sources I trust a lot more.
