Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Would Moyes be able to handle a big club though? So far he's had to manage with limited budgets and "small club mentality", we don't know how he'd fare with us.

I think it's far more better choice then the choices people give here.

Cause if they fire AVB to get someone like Brendan then they did not learn anything and it's the same bullshit all over again.

They want a young untested manager because he had one or two good seasons....

I would take a proven manager with over a decade worth experience in the EPL like Moyes any day.

No, you would sack the employee who's disrupting the work space.

What AVB did for Porto is no fluke, he won the treble, including the Europa league. Now i know you cant compare that to the premier league, but even last season we were playing just as bad, and we had Carlo... he has enough experience... right.

If a manager or teacher cant control his pupils -every place I have worked they are quietly ushered out the door.

The club needs to employ someone who commands respect -the last was Mourinho, but this nerd isnt up to it

Two good match out of 37? I would say those are outliers

Two examples of what happens when the players listen to the coach, and his tatics, and theres no disruption.

At the end of the day we can slate AVB, but the same thing happened last season we were playing like shite, god knows how we managed to finish second.

It is manager's duty to get a grip over his squad. Things are little bit unfair for AvB because he inherited a bunch of larger-than-club players . But at the end of the he would be responsible for losing it.

It's not all of the pupils, it's a few who continue to do it when things don't go their way.

How come some respect him and others don't... it's a common theme when we hire a new manager... it's because they think they're bigger than the club.

Managing Chelsea is not the same like managing another 'big' club.Everyone in the club has their own views and feel they know what is right for the club. The manager has very little power and control irrespective of past achievements and age.The English media does not like us either and as a result speculate a lot of things which leads to more unrest. So far AVB has done a decent job, considering all the faults in the club and if he can manage to survive this season then I am sure he will be a wonderful manager for any team.

I am not taking the player's side but with Chelsea AvB showed nothing so that he can be called a great coach or even a good coach. In the begining he said that he would assess the squad and within 3 months he came into conclusion that Anelka and Alex are so worthless? Everybody knew us getting the 2nd position under Carlo was purely fluke. Did not he realize that our midfield was pure shit? Still I want to take Andres side just because I want to see an end to this player power regime. But to be very honest Andre is not a good coach. .....Yet. He is not even close.

And this is when I am starting to agree with Sloth, that AVB was a delusional fool thinking he could walk into this club with out little change to the team and expect to do better then Carlo season with almost the same squad.....

Players would have more of a respect for Carlo then AVB as he is mainly a rookie.

Well hate to say it, but it seems like Graeme Souness and Alen Hansen where right about AVB appointment all along.

I will never criticized them ever again.
