Henri 115
I don't want to defend AVB but Fergie has so many option. He can play young, nani, valencia, or park on the wing and not only they are excellent winger but also they offer different skill. I don't see anybody in our bench that actually can come and change the game. Not that i disagree, but my point was =Boas act!, be a leader. Can it get worse than now?(proberly!). I would have benched 4-5 players and let our youngster play againt Birmingham. And tell the squard if i didnt see 110%improvment they wont play against Napoli. ACT NOW! or get the f... The Rising Sun 711
The Players arent as bad as some people here make them out to be,(except torres)They are playing way below their standards through the season. The problem may not be VB completely....Many times when a manager is not too strong, his assistant coach holds that role of being tough and gets players motivated and does a whole lot more work behind the scenes....RDM was a horrible 1st team coach... god knows why we hired him. Ray Wilkins commanded respect and got players playing with the right mindset. Get him back.

Styles 9,790
Yup so we need Di Matteo and Clarke then ...and Hiddink and Mourinho. That dream team could not only get us playing again but solve the Eurozone crisis.AVB can do the press conferences because he likes to talk. Let the others focus on the football side. Styles 9,790
Typical.Nice to see you again too eldo. Maybe I should have put this at the end of the post:joke (jk)n.1. Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line.2. A mischievous trick; a prank.3. An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.4. InformalI don't blame AVB. The squad is poor, he has made some mistakes but he doesn't deserve all the blame nor does he deserve to lose his job. Naked Mole Rat 437
I don't think he's done a good job, but I feel sorry for him. He was never going to live up to the hypes and work a miracle, which was something even a talented and experienced manager Carlo couldn't do. After all, he's just a newbie, barely old enough to exert any influence on our high and mighty players. At this stage of his career, Chelsea is too big of a challenge, and he really should have stayed with Porto. Anyway, I don't really know what we should do with him now. He's certainly not good enough yet and it's probably best for him if he left, but that obviously means we're going to be fucked.

I think he found a good situation for himself, hope to see him next year in the Champions League (if we make it that is!).
Liquidator 5,176
having Mourinho back is the last thing we need. If ever this bunch of their players needed their egos inflating even more while they are still playing crap then smug Jose can do it. I can picture it now, Drogba, Terry, Lampard etc. delighted to see their 'special one' back and start licking his arse more than ever, a 2 month honeymoon period where we win a few games and go top of the league and then the legs start to go in the old bunch again and we are back at square 1.All that would happen if we brought back Mourinho is that we would continue to play with a squad getting even more stale and McEachran, De Bruyne, Piazon, Chalobah, Bertrand etc. are all left out at the expense of the players who Jose has a good relationship with.
