Clearly AVB is guilty as he stands, but The Big Kahuna, Roman, will have the final verdict.

I think AVB has tried his best to revoloutionise the squad with what he's got. We have to give to him give him credit for doing something, not many managers had the balls too give in and demote Lampard to the bench and stuff. I think you can't really have a revolution without trying to enforce a new style too. But I do agree, we need a plan B until the seasons completion, then we can fully implement AVB's philosophy. Afterall You can't make a Lamborghini with rusty parts. Alex and Anelka were probably two players that should've remained over others. But they wanted out so what can he do? I think he's done well with playing Sturridge, but Mceachran should've been used better. He's still made bigger steps in half a season that most previous managers in the youth department He's shown a lot of guts but dropping Torres would be a difficult task for anybody. The £50 million price tag virtually guarantee's him a spot.

We have been moaning about player power for years, weve now got a manager trying to do something about it and we moan? he may have gone a bit too far but would you rather he sat around and let the players cause havoc?

Bertrand aside he has got it right, eg with Lukaku, struggled so reserves for a bit, now looks more sharp.

Got a point with the first one, but why bother with player power when you had two transfer window to get rid of some that?

Mourinho has some player power today at Madrid, but that's without Raul and Guti. Two big player power that would fall in the Drogba and Lampard category.

For youth he has done far worse then Carlo, and I remember clearly wanting Carlo out just for that.

Otherwise I would have stick to Carlo.

• Calling for an evolution and not revolution. Agree with this about AVB he should have signed way more players than he did. However, I'm not sure how much power his has on our transfers. what disappointed me about avb/chelsea was thinking Mata and Raul alone would be enough for this year.

We played well with it to in preseaon and in our first 2-3 games. There was really no way of knowing our team isn't built for a high line. Barca - I know, another barca comparision- play the high line greatly and their defenders are not faster than ours.

I see where your coming from but personally i think we need to wait until this time next year to judge AVB's youth policy, he did well with James Rodriques at Porto and plays Romeu a fair bit (not our product but young and inexpierenced none the less).

He tried to demote Lampard, and then got scared and started playing him often till he got injured.....Not so great balls.

I know i got cursed out here for saying Lampard should be bench and playing less during pre-season time.

And Sturridge was just a player that fell in your lap. Cause I remember the club was about to send him out on loan again. The only thing that stop him was that well pre-season that he had.

For transfer I remember one of the board members (I think it was Gourlay) stating that they had to discuss transfer target with AVB when he came back from tour on Asia.

So while he was "assessing" his squad, there was no movement for nobody. And no movement continue till the second game of the PL....pathetic really!

Youth integration is tougher to do when you need to get results, almost any manager would opt for the experienced players - Carlo did the same.

And let's not forget he only played McEachran because we basically had no other options.

I think it was a mistake for AVB to use the word unconditional. He seemed to think for a bit and then go for what's best for him, even though it might not be true.

Agreed, but his mandate was to change the team. Take out the dead wood, and bring a "youthful flair" into our game.

7 months in and I am still waiting to see that "flair" of youth into our team. Cause we sure haven't improve in style...
