or dos Santos..wub.gif

Yeah but he would only cost 5 mill....

That is not a risk, as it is with Torres.

Torres' name really has to stop coming up in transfers now..

Buying a player like Nasri, who has premier league experience is a good signing. Why is that point being compared to Torres? Their situations are completely different.

You are right.

I will stop talking about Torres.

30 odd goals is not worth the 50 mill price tag.

He was brought to win the CL, like Carlo. And so far his first season was disastrous.

Let's see what he can do in the new season.

Cause the 30 odd goals could be done by Falcao or Cavani and would cost less.

I never said 30 goals was worth 50 mill, i said that your hasty assumption that we got mugged and that Nando is a dud could look pretty stupid if he bangs in 30 next season.

He wasnt brought in to win us the champions league, he was brought in to help turn an ever worsening season before we capitulated completely but its good of you to allow him another season at least.

You have absolutely no idea that Falcao or Cavani could have done any better. Look when we brought Kezman in for a reasonable amount! Everyone talked of the mass amounts of goals he scored in the dutch league and what did he do? Not much

I am not longer going to talk about Torres here, as i said i wouldn't.

But i will give him this new season to make me a believer. Cause for 50 million you will have to show more then what Drogba did last year!

So is Tevez, and he cost less then Torres for City.....

Tevez is nowhere near as marketable as Torres. Torres will pump more revenue into the club in one year then Tevez can in his entire career. Torres has the highest selling kit in the league, and Chelsea will receive half of Torres image rights. Every commercial or advertise Torres does Chelsea will profit.

let me just remained you that Torres is by far the most popular player at Chelsea and has the largest followers around the world, and that means some serious revenue for the club. Business decision plays a big role into buying a player especially at Chelsea.

On the pitch Torres is by far the better then Tevez, calling Torres a flop after 3 months shows just shows how fickle you are.

btw the reason Tevez costed so low for City is because his contract was winding down at United.

Yeah but David Villa is better then him, and Barcelona spend less then we did on Torres....

Buying players in January is expensive, moreso when you buy them less than 24 hours before the transfer window closes. What is your point really? No one said we got a bargain and because you think we overpaid for him doesn't mean we should keep overpaying for everyone else.

That we over expend on players just because they are either English or PL proven.

That is nonsense as it was shown when we bough Ivan, Ramires and David Luiz.

Far better value then having to rely on the notion of just cause he is PL proven.

They might be PL proven, but that does not mean they will not do that well, will they?

Just look at City and how much PL proven talent they bought? A lot have been a big farce.

It got them into the CL for the first time and won them an FA Cup. Think they are happy enough

Milner, and Lescott where bought because of their PL experience and because they are English.

The priced they payed for, can be compare to that of David Luiz and Ramires.

No value in their....

It seems to me like a big rip of!

I sort of know what your getting at here but it still isnt down to Citeh to decide the price of a player! Citeh are victims of their own wealth, like us. They may well have spent that money on those players because they wanted english players with PL experience( Im not sure thats the reason they did tho) but they were held to ransom by Villa and Everton because they knew of the interest from a bankrolled club! If they wanted those players which they obviously did then thats the price that had to be paid but you are right... It is a BIG rip off at times, there is little value for money now in the transfer market. The starting rate now seems to be a standard 30 mill

I think the best bargains you can get right now in the PL is buying players with low release clause or in their last year contract like SAF did with A. Young and Phil Jones, or Mourinho did with Sahin and Ozil.

Nasri in his last year would be more cheaper and better value then what Liverpool payed for Henderson. Or what Spurs are trying to get out of us from Modric.

Just hope we hijack their chance..

Depends on his own opinion, I think he'd join United over us to be honest. Unless he does like Modric and prefers to stay in London.

He will be off to the scum and they will have a quality side next year as well as a good pre season together... I am a bit concerned by this if it happens

Scum aren't in the Champions League. They can't offer the same incentives United or We can. Nasri's situation is about money but he's not stupid, he won't sign for a team who aren't in Europe's elite competition this year despite their team becoming strong.
