  1. Seeing Roberto running onto the pitch, attacking both Didi and Nando with hugs - really sums up why heart for a club comes out in the darkest of times! Everyone was superb, even Nando, with his attacking, movement and his pressing - wondered why he took off Sturridge, but Nando was really lively which i think helped. Didi has to be man of the match, but then again Luiz, Terry, Rambo could also be. A perfect example of the spirit of the beautiful game!
  2. Batman should be the new manager. Overlooked for AvB, now it should be him!
  3. Believe it or not, but at times like this, it is good to rely on a hard-working player like Kalou. He often scores goals in his one minute of brilliance, which is something we are lacking so much this season.
  4. I want a manager that cares about the club, or would - as well as having the ability to seek players virtually unknown who are amazing, like AvB's scouting ability. Jose is the man in my first choice, but i think if Roberto does well enough, he could maybe get the job full-time.
  5. I hope if he can overcome Napoli, and win us the FA Cup, Roman will give him a job. Always thought Roberto had the skills to be a manager here, but couldn't see it due to the stature between Chelsea and West Brom. To have a manager who wants to win with more heart then anything is what we need, and i am sure more youth will be given an oppertunity rather then playing players out of position which happened with Carlo and AvB.
  6. I am not like certain members. The posts above it revelant to the point that the subject matter is the reason why this thread was open, and also adding to the conversation - which shouldn't warrant a new thread. The latest one about AC Milan and how Chelsea should look to that is the prime example of brilliant threads on this site, with a look at a possible solution and with a analysis for the resolve. To see links to threads like Shane's, Wilson's, which are - like it has been stated - told you so's, is just an open-flame waiting for trolls to expand it to a complete flame war.
  7. Also, why are these the only threads that seem to be linked to the twitter/facebook feeds?
  8. Wow, a new thread that hasn't even got a paragraph of writing, and is another 'AVB-Hate' thread. This could have been a simple post in the 'AvB Out?' thread, but nope - just cluttering the forum with more useless and discarded topics. Your opion is worthy of a thread? Not really. Isn't there an ex-blues for carlo anyway?
  9. Hazard should be one winger, but Hulk is too much, if only Porto will offer a double exchange and a certain sum amount. Heard James Rodriguez is meant to be good, is he a worthy back-up option?
  10. But, the sole fact of improving for the fans and for the reputation of this club should be enough to gerner some kind of response, plus the large amount of wages they get week-in and week-out.
  11. I think AvB should be given more time, it is clear he has some sort of vision for what he wants for the club for the long run, and even acknowledge's that. The problem that lies with the season we have is that the players are who they are, and our manager is so young and is learning. I think we have bled as much out of this squad as it is, and another managerial transition would put us back into the same position - despite if it is Jose or not. I respect Jose for what he has done with his career, and for his special bond for us and the EPL - but we need to grasp this oppertunity we have with someone like AvB who has a project and at least try to build on it. If AvB does a large overhaul and brings in some amazing and exceptional buys like he did with Mata and Romeu, maybe we would have more of an eager time to win and maybe we could get somewhere. All i want from this season is a top four finish and the FA Cup honour, which we could do if the players actually get motivated to push on from the team's failings to turn the season around. I don't want AvB sacked, as to me he is someone and something that we haven't had yet, and it might be a good risk to keep him on, as much admiration i have for Jose, this 'project' should be given an oppertunity to run.
  12. Only till June when he shall be one of us!
  13. We have a young manager who has a long-term project which means there had to be a peroid of time which he needed to be calm and collective to judge the talent who we have at the current time who could fit the project which he wants to build. Unfortunately, this whole season is going to be a peroid which should have been started with a somewhat small overhaul in the January window, or some kind of indication after pre-season. But, the manager decide to wait it out relying on the backbone of the squad to make the most of what they had for the summer - which has, maybe for the second time, ended with a seemingly the same conclusion with Carlo and last season, the team hasn't been playing to the capacity it can. The major difference for me is that Roman backs AvB rather then rationalising with the players and for another manager to be sent on there way with a back pocket of millions. AvB has brought in some promising players, Romeu and Mata, started with some dead wood, Anelka and Alex, but i think we can only fully get an indication of what is the full outscale of his plan in the summer. Hopefully he will give more youth chances, and sign only what is needed - winger, striker, right-back, etc. But due to the fact AvB is so young, and was given a team that is falling onto bitter days with only some hopefuls, you can't create something with people that don't have the same dedication nor heart. AvB has made some mistakes, but not as many as the players that don't give it there all with every performance. We should be more determined to take it game-by-game rather then saying an objective only for it to become an obstacle. Despite the hard time AvB is having in his first season here, doesn't spefically mean that next season would be the same. Patience and heart is what is need between now and May - for both us, the fans, and for our players.
  14. anyone got a decent veetle link - preferably - or any stream link that is secure.
  15. Fucking lucky there! Come on Rambo and Raul, man the fuck up!
  16. Cahill did some good covering after Cech went out
  17. Would be so much off a fresh air if he didn't go on loan into side. Too bad AvB was being stubborn, thought he would have wanted as many players for choice as possible.
  18. Scoreline really sums up our season really....
  19. The fact there were reports of us contacting teams for possible transfers towards the end of the window is really a wanning image for me. The fact we had some targets, and happily let them be delayed while having the thinnest squad in the league. Added to the fact we still have the same problem as last season, with reported squad harmony being distrupted with pointing fingers everywhere as to whom is responsible for the form we are in. It is like kids getting in trouble and them blaming each other for the reason why they are in trouble - the teacher being Roman in this case. I think what is needed to be done is to remember the whole squad it isn't about them, but about the whole team and club rather then the egotistical ones wanting this and that - added that maybe AvB has made some mistakes - this is the time, imo, that he does his analyse of the team that he is so-called 'famous' for and put it to work! The problem might lay in some corner, but for the time coming we need to focus on top four, the FA Cup and the CL. That way we can evaluate at the end at then finally get more of a view of the so-called project AvB and Roman are wanting to build. I personally think the transfers in the January window should have happened in the summer with one or two more additions - or possibly some leaving - as well as not loaning Yossi, but it is always easier to say that now rather then doing it when iut was needed.
  20. Should of put Ryan or Luiz at left if he is every so stays to his words! Andreas Villas-Boas: you give youth, a bad name!
