  1. We have a young manager who has a long-term project which means there had to be a peroid of time which he needed to be calm and collective to judge the talent who we have at the current time who could fit the project which he wants to build. Unfortunately, this whole season is going to be a peroid which should have been started with a somewhat small overhaul in the January window, or some kind of indication after pre-season. But, the manager decide to wait it out relying on the backbone of the squad to make the most of what they had for the summer - which has, maybe for the second time, ended with a seemingly the same conclusion with Carlo and last season, the team hasn't been playing to the capacity it can. The major difference for me is that Roman backs AvB rather then rationalising with the players and for another manager to be sent on there way with a back pocket of millions. AvB has brought in some promising players, Romeu and Mata, started with some dead wood, Anelka and Alex, but i think we can only fully get an indication of what is the full outscale of his plan in the summer. Hopefully he will give more youth chances, and sign only what is needed - winger, striker, right-back, etc. But due to the fact AvB is so young, and was given a team that is falling onto bitter days with only some hopefuls, you can't create something with people that don't have the same dedication nor heart. AvB has made some mistakes, but not as many as the players that don't give it there all with every performance. We should be more determined to take it game-by-game rather then saying an objective only for it to become an obstacle. Despite the hard time AvB is having in his first season here, doesn't spefically mean that next season would be the same. Patience and heart is what is need between now and May - for both us, the fans, and for our players.
  2. anyone got a decent veetle link - preferably - or any stream link that is secure.
  3. Fucking lucky there! Come on Rambo and Raul, man the fuck up!
  4. Cahill did some good covering after Cech went out
  5. Would be so much off a fresh air if he didn't go on loan into side. Too bad AvB was being stubborn, thought he would have wanted as many players for choice as possible.
  6. Scoreline really sums up our season really....
  7. The fact there were reports of us contacting teams for possible transfers towards the end of the window is really a wanning image for me. The fact we had some targets, and happily let them be delayed while having the thinnest squad in the league. Added to the fact we still have the same problem as last season, with reported squad harmony being distrupted with pointing fingers everywhere as to whom is responsible for the form we are in. It is like kids getting in trouble and them blaming each other for the reason why they are in trouble - the teacher being Roman in this case. I think what is needed to be done is to remember the whole squad it isn't about them, but about the whole team and club rather then the egotistical ones wanting this and that - added that maybe AvB has made some mistakes - this is the time, imo, that he does his analyse of the team that he is so-called 'famous' for and put it to work! The problem might lay in some corner, but for the time coming we need to focus on top four, the FA Cup and the CL. That way we can evaluate at the end at then finally get more of a view of the so-called project AvB and Roman are wanting to build. I personally think the transfers in the January window should have happened in the summer with one or two more additions - or possibly some leaving - as well as not loaning Yossi, but it is always easier to say that now rather then doing it when iut was needed.
  8. Should of put Ryan or Luiz at left if he is every so stays to his words! Andreas Villas-Boas: you give youth, a bad name!
  9. It reminds me of Scott Sinclair's for some reason :/
  10. I love the fact he can see that this, his team, is a project and that he acknowledges our fault whilst still having the enthuism for glory - it is a good indication for the future, and maybe a way to motivate the players. Also, to see he can see the 'team-play' Nando does as well is good, but maybe he should be looking more into the tactics and midfeild rather then the striker.
  11. [sarcasm] Alex shudda shut up his mouth [/sarcasm] Just testing the new tage
  12. I feel more of a connection after learning his from Newark
  13. I find it so ironic that it was Scott who scored against us, did he actually celebrate the goal?
  14. Needs to face reality once again, that if he doesn't try he isn't going to play. Disheartening that he went from being energetic and a threat to what most have described as 'awful'. Lukaku deserves a chance more now then ever.
  15. AvB is building something out of nothing, to try and create the closesy thing to perfection with what he has at the moment, and build upon during the windows. Maybe most are impatient, but surely even them can see that this has to be the worse team assembled here to start a revolution in the club's future with. Will it really be a tradegy to sacrifice one season to gain an advantage in up-coming seasons? Boas has cearly indicated he has plans for the team for longer then this one season - and is only willing to build them in a window where the club is going to over-pay for players, which seems to be a good indication after some many people complain of that same problem with our transfers. If we have someone who is able to get CL qualification this season and with the future planned, then i would rather have that rather then the same ol', same ol' - but i have the patience to foresee the present in order to finally tarnish the moment when it becomes more of a reality. The man has shown his isn't willing to allow egos before the team, and dropping big players onto the bench if they aren't playing well if there number is up - like he did with Nando earlier this season with Didi getting some playtime, and with Lampard. Bring on the glory, rather then damnation i say, i dunno about others,
  16. I would take a labrador named Samson at this rate! Just someone fucking be signed!
  17. I don't think he would state a certain clun in cae it might deter other clubs interest (if that makes sense).
  18. I see this as a 2-1 win with Tambling scoring the late winner after a Frank Lampard penalty
  19. As much as most people would love the excitement and all the stuff, i would rather we sign De Bruyne, if we are, and someone else sooner then we did with Raul and the previous window. I would love to see two more people coming in the club, or with someone like Kalou going out, but i can't really see it happening. The kind of player we need, and the pkayers that actually does hit the mold are out of bound in this window with price and cup-tied being the main features. A deadline signing wouldn't be something i would want, rather have the business done sooner then later - but we do need someone creative to add something to this lacklustre bunch at the moment, like Mata did/has when he first joined. Maybe it could be De Bruyne, or even someone from the reserves like Lalkovic, but that is one clear position that we are needing at the moment, which i do think either by the end of this window or in the next window, AvB will sort out.
  20. Some changes here and there it would be nice. Too bad it is someone's design rather then an actual addidas one.
