  1. We are buying players now to rescue our PL season, and players in the Summer for our CL challenge. Why get players who are cup-tied and will cost double the amount in such a short window?
  2. Would have Hoillet, best player at Blackburn and is still young and got tons of potential - or even Victor Moses from Wigan, again maybe the best attacking option there too. Both can play on the wings, both young, one is English, and both have potential. Would rather see both Hoilett and Moses or one of them on the bench then players like Malouda and/or Kalou.
  3. By the way things are going, i don't think they can do TWO things at once, nevermind watching two players in one match
  4. Alex wanted to leave, his want was granted therefore we needed someone to replace him - Gary is that person.
  5. Yes, but we have two big establish forwards in both Nando and Didi, and at one point in the season both were scoring, while we still had the likes of Anelka and Sturridge who could also play there part. I am not syaing that he has had his chances, but given the names infront of him and with the inconsistent levels of our performances up until now, i can see why AvB didn't want to rely on the striker that hasn't really embarked on the scene yet. He should have started against Portsmouth to be honest. As for Torres form, at the moment he has been playing better in the three weeks then he has 12 months he has been here.
  6. Torres has been in terrrific form in the last three games, and is showing glimspes of his former self - Romelu came here knowing he would be sitting on the bench, and took that under stride. His chance will eventually come, in some shape or form - but we all have to remember we are talking about an 18 year old kid, who has more then enough years of development in under to establish himself into the player that was so highly souted by the top European teams.
  7. That overhead kick by Torres Hopefully he will score a hattrick next game, because he was brilliant! Could have had two penalties with him taking on defenders and beating them!
  8. I meant more of a youtube video or something...
  9. Anu chnace of a video with the highlights?
  10. I am interested in the player(s) AVB will be bringing in, because it is damn sure that we need some more in!!
  11. Didn't see the game, but it is sad that the goal is yet another Torres assist and not his name on the scoresheet.
  12. Here's hoping for him to be scoring against Arseanal, Spuds, Man Ure, Liver-fool and Man Shitty, or at least two of them
  13. God - it might have to come to the point where people will have to post pointless YouTube videos with songs like 'Where is the love', etc. into every thread. Which itself might cause more of an over-reaction with other people's music prefences, and then it will be World War 3. I think the major problem is, some people can't be able to identify an inocent joke or sarcasm and take it personally, which has happened on other sites i am on.
  14. Isn't it obvious? The next signing has already been to the Bridge, and even had a kick around with Torres and Frank. His name? Wel... It's Justin Bieber
  15. We really do love to drag these transfers out :/
  16. Out of the whole thing you quote that Yes, by his standards it does look good.
  17. I somewhat agree. The problem hasn't been about the fact he wasn't scoring mostly, but because it seemed he wasn't looking to be scoring the goals - yes you can blame the lack of oppertunites with the uncreative spine of our team, but he never tried to start something nor ending it. But, in the previous games, he has been working hard with team play and his movement as well. Chasing down balls from the defenders, coming deep and wide to ensure something happens that ends with a goal, which is the reason why i think he has been assisting so much this season. In the Wolves game, his confidence was high and he actually attempted to go one-on-one with defenders and most of the time winning, which was such a rare thing the first couple of games when he first came. But, the finishing hasn't really clicked - i believe maybe a few more games and he will gradually find the back of the net. Gradually does come across a 'long peroid', but if he can help others find the back of the net, whilst he finds it himself - then i would accept that. In the end of the day, if he assists goals and building towards scoring them himself, it is better then going for a Ruby conversion (if that is the right terminology) - goals are goals which ultimately earns wins and points, more points more beneficial in the league we can get. His record in the CL this season still looks amazing, 5 games, 2 goals and 3 assists. Hopefully he takes the oppertunity of Didi going to ACoN to find the back of the net and establish himself into the team -which i am more confident saying then previously!
  18. An example of the talent of the youth we have, but the wrong mishandling on part by the club to nurturue them into our core system.
  19. Torres has the same amount of assists he has got for Chelsea in 12 months, then he has for his seven seasons at At. Madrid.
  20. So Torres has gone from an goal machine to a assist machine? Well at least he does something
  21. Chelsea's youth -- rotten cabbage's on the bench
  22. Never - ever - heard of him before...
