I somewhat agree. The problem hasn't been about the fact he wasn't scoring mostly, but because it seemed he wasn't looking to be scoring the goals - yes you can blame the lack of oppertunites with the uncreative spine of our team, but he never tried to start something nor ending it. But, in the previous games, he has been working hard with team play and his movement as well. Chasing down balls from the defenders, coming deep and wide to ensure something happens that ends with a goal, which is the reason why i think he has been assisting so much this season. In the Wolves game, his confidence was high and he actually attempted to go one-on-one with defenders and most of the time winning, which was such a rare thing the first couple of games when he first came. But, the finishing hasn't really clicked - i believe maybe a few more games and he will gradually find the back of the net. Gradually does come across a 'long peroid', but if he can help others find the back of the net, whilst he finds it himself - then i would accept that. In the end of the day, if he assists goals and building towards scoring them himself, it is better then going for a Ruby conversion (if that is the right terminology) - goals are goals which ultimately earns wins and points, more points more beneficial in the league we can get. His record in the CL this season still looks amazing, 5 games, 2 goals and 3 assists. Hopefully he takes the oppertunity of Didi going to ACoN to find the back of the net and establish himself into the team -which i am more confident saying then previously!
