  1. To play proactive football and building play from the back ? Varane, Laporte, Otamendi and co. would replace Cahill.
  2. Pff Boga played fantastic for U21 as a 16 years old. He was up and down this season but when he's up he is the best player and looks the most senior player on the pitch by a mile. He decided to turn and we've won UEFA Youth League. He is just special talent and deserves special treatment and it's bizarre thing at it's finest that he only now get the nod. Up until December he was unplayable and I think he should then got his reward. And btw remember that RLC wasn't with the first team last summer. Mourinho hasn't mentioned him at all until he pulled him of the hat before Champions League game. I have an idea how you develop kids without compromising the results. And I think you have to be unfair with some of them and choose the best of the bunch, 1 or 2 and develop them, and not try to promote everyone of them at the same time. Therefore it's UNFAIR for Musonda but it's FAIRER for Boga to finally get his debut as his special talent and 3 years of youth performance deserve. They should all get the debuts but when Izzy Brown debut is belated by 5 months (?) since he has sat on the bench for the first time, you have the picture about youth approach.
  3. But they as 'world-class players' have too many of them. Fabregas is going AWOL in every big game and is not seen in the second part of the season. 2 features he is repeating for 5th, 6th or 7th time in his career. And DC has dogshit technique and is pretty much useless when is not in top form. Also is enormously weak in the air for his size. Many abilities, many flaws as well. They are on the fringe of being world-class and very good players because the sheer WC players don't have such flaws. But I guess for that price you can't have full product.
  4. Why deflecting argument by saying such stupid thing ? It becomes a theme here. When you talk something bad in Mourinho thread some reply that we obviously should stick with Scolari/AVB/Benitez to make people happy. Personally, I don't care much about Diego Costa behaviour. But more about how long it takes him to back to his best. He has to be in absolutely best shape and form to have acceptable level of first touch, ball control and link-up play, which takes 3-4 dire games to get there. The fact is we got Diego Costa for 38m€ and Fabregas for 33m€, two world-class players by basic merit, BUT let's be honest, they have FLAWS and Chelsea, as one of the biggest clubs, should have alternative to them.
  5. But prime Cech was in 2004-2006. Even slightly earlier when he was playing for Rennes. After injury he's not in the same highest standard that used to be. It's good that he came back to being world-class after 2008 drop but still.
  6. RLC nomination to be the one (while sending others on loan) is certainly a will to go for size. If Baker was 6'2" he would be the one that stays. So far in his career, Mourinho only went for those 6'2" players, defenders or midfielder, he hasn't promoted the young, technical, quality attacking player yet. Though with his comments he seems to be the expert on the matter ;) It will be interesting who follows RLC. Mourinho said that more players can stay and follow Ruben path. But I think staying one year and wasting year of the career is not ideal when you don't have guarantees. Some players, especially Boga, desperately need step up because they can actually go backward, which I think is already happening with Boga. Musonda to Monaco. Boga to Marseille. Traore to Lyon.
  7. I'm 100% that IF he becomes available we will be interested. I know Mourinho style so well that he would take Sterling in a heartbeat. Let's face it, we won't dominate possession against comparable clubs but rather play counter-attack. BUT PROPER COUNTER-ATTACK. Sterling already proved how effective he is playing on the counter, either as a provider or the one on top of the chain. Just remind yourself how good he was last season in fast attacks. He is really, really good. He has excellent balance, acceleration and close control. He would be only the second player with such skillset in our team. We need them. And in the future we could have 3 players with similar traits, the players you can't tackle in Hazard, Sterling and Boga. That idea for me is mouthwatering. I see Alexis Sanchez regret if Chelsea don't put a fight for him. Already had player on plate to solve long-term issue but signed Cuadrado (or Salah) few months earlier and said 'We pass'. Don't do this, please.
  8. He has contract until 2016, I guess we will sell him even for peanuts. But who will take him though ? It was mistake giving him such big contract. Josh probably knows that the next year will be his last big earning so he won't lower his demands.
  9. He looks pretty strong on the pictures. Also his aerial duels stats are better than Ivanovic. In this days with Mourinho, first thing I look up at fullback if he's good in the air, that's the basic. And this guy stats suggest that he's very good in the air.
  10. I think his first part of the season until 31st January was brilliant, magnificent for newcomer. Collecting every long balls, corners were not danger at all, saving crucial situations and not letting goals that HE MAY done better. 9.8/10 Later on he dropped his performance literally to Cech level, not so assured with collecting long balls, conceding goals that HE MAY done better because he has hands on the ball all the time. Very much Cech-like I have to say. Still high level though. 8.5/10 When I watch it, literally the second half goals he conceded yesterday were so CECH I've seen this time and time again here. I hope he comes back to his highest level.
  11. Blind referees everywhere. In Spain, in England, in Champions League ...
  12. He is better than Cech. He was nominated for last Ballon D'or AS A GOALKEEPER even without being flashy like Neuer. However he's worse than 2004-2006 Cech.
  13. Bayern deal with Adidas will be worth 900m€ and lasts for the next 15 years which is 60m€ annually. The thing with Bayern, Real and Barca is that Premier League will give top clubs way more money than their domestic league gives to them. Real and Barca can actually earn less than now because they agree to sell TV rights jointly and not individually. So this already bridges huge gap. The only top club of such magnitude that will benefit from Premier League as well is Man United. Therefore I think we will overtake Bayern in 2 years time or be very close to them. Further forward we will bridge the gap to the other 2 non-Man United teams. We're in privileged FFP position and Chelsea I'm sure will do as much as they can to block softing this for others.
  14. For such little money it's no brainer. Chelsea scouted him 3 years ago and wanted to sign him from Guingamp in Ligue 2. Our scout Gil Hilton said that he's big fan of his talent and he only moved to Marseille for further development. Fantastic left foot, has engine in him, is big, strong, fast, technical and has eye for a pass, especially long balls. Can constantly take players on in the middle and join the attack. I have watched him so many times already. He is still inconsistent but at least he has full season of constant playing now, missed only 1 game in the league in which he was suspended. He is further developed Ruben Loftus-Cheek but is better passer and better in defence. He could easily take Ramires and Mikel role in the team. There's the guy called Allan from Udinese who also would be good for that.
  15. 1) Yes, we're close to them. In 2 years time we will overcome Bayern in turnover. We already have 320m£ of our own revenue and not from some sponsorship with Roman or whatever. 71m from match day + 139.9m from broadcasting + 109m from commercial = 319.8m£ http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2015/01/chelsea-hey-hey-my-my-into-black.html Our turnover will increase, first next season by about 45m£ (Yokohama deal plus much improved Champions League money) to over 360m£ and the season after, in 2016/17 by another 50-55m£ (new Premier League TV deal) to about 415m£ = 550m€, which is the revenue Real had in 2012/13 (highest in the world) The thing is, we're more of historical, fundamental clubs in Real, Bayern, Barca type than new clubs like City and PSG. Because Roman started pouring money in 2003 which was early enough to establishing ourself before marketing boom in the next years. And FFP is protecting those fundamental clubs with own big revenues, therefore it's protecting us. 2) We only need 3 or 4 high quality players to have team 'completed' for years. By the time we will need a major overhaul we will probably have improved stadium, new Adidas kit deal, maybe new commercial deals like name rights for training ground or even stadium ground. By that time we will be on equal level to Real, Barca in revenues, only Man United will be ahead but approach to them should be different because their owners' aim is to still take money from the club therefore in reality we could be on equal level to them too. 3) I think they will ease rules and just like in NBA it will be soft cap. For our interest it should be as strictly as possible. Remember that Roman was one of the first to approve FFP or that's what they say. In the last 2 years, UEFA asked 80-90 clubs to send them further documents to calculate their finances. But Chelsea was not in those 90 clubs. That should mean that our situation with FFP is very good. I think they will soften the restrictions by some sort of offsetting the cap for players that are long in the club, very much how it is in NBA with Bird rules. 4) We were very interested in Toure and Silva in 2010. City done us with their contract offers. I remember Toure was done deal by some sources in Spain. But City came with too big contract and that was the time when Chelsea decided to lower salary of the players so we were out of the race for Toure. Same happened with Silva, we were no go with City contract offer. Mata the year later signed with Chelsea 2 or 3 times lower contract than Silva with City.
  16. For us not at all. We are on the edge of being as big as those old, fundamental clubs like Real, Bayern, Barca and Man Utd. Everything was going in the right direction. We have loan system in place. Our turnover is about 320m£ now, will bump to over 360m£ next season and to about 415m£ from 2016/17 which is ~550m€ (Real turnover in 2012/13 which was highest in the world). With Stamford Bridge heading for development the corner is turned. And now we again are going to face battle with City and PSG ?? City signed every player we were interested in 2009-2011 period (Robinho, Tevez, Silva, Toure, Aguero). City just invested 200m£ in fucking Academy and they are back to endless spending with all this money ? Not to mention PSG. It's not good for us. We have to be decisive in the market because City are coming I think.
  17. He is painfully average, unimaginative with his passing. He has to improve BIG TIME. He is so much better when he runs through with the ball. All of his impressive actions in youth football were coming with him sprinting. He can't control games and can't create and that's the problem. When he has space he is gold. I like Ruben and I'm happy that youth plays. But he hasn't played good and consistently since mid 2013/14 season and it's unfair that he is so hyped now when I can arguably name 5 players equal or better than him.
  18. I read that Chelsea talked with Lyon about him and Boga. Lyon would be great move. I really wouldn't like him to stay at Vitesse. He should get more technical players around him. But first they will try to secure work permit. I think if they do, he stays with Chelsea. If they don't, he goes to Lyon, plays European football which is reasoning for foreign players to give them work permit as it is often testimony for 'high quality' player for the panel that gives work permits.
  19. Perez parted ways with Jose with the most respectable and nice words he ever told to any of his managers. That was a glaring difference when you compare how he was saying goodbye to others, often accusing them of not handling the pressure or even being too small and not good enough to coach such club like Real. The respect to each other is mutual.
  20. But you were suggesting the other day that they will reject such big offers because they don't sell 2 stars in one window. Reality is that they have more than 2 times lower turnover than Chelsea. Wages are 3,5 times lower than at Chelsea. And Koke and Griezmann are not worth 60m€ each. If Chelsea would offer something about this for those 2 players, Atletico would snap the hand and run. I also think that's not coincidence how relase clause is set. The price has to be big number but also not too big to scare suitors.
  21. Last season : Marco Reus 3480 minutes (made of glass) Eden Hazard 3904 minutes (unbreakable) Plus you have to include that in Premier League you play 4 matches or 360 minutes more. Chelsea played 2 games more in the Champions League. Still Marco averages over 3000 minutes each season from his last 6 seasons in Borussias (Monchengladbach and Dortmund). Made of glass ??
  22. How is he 60m€ player ?? The same could be said about Koke. The suggestion that Atletico would REJECT combining 120m€ fee really baffles me. That's 75% of their turnover and they are the ones that would make better deal of it.
  23. They were barely passed through FFP for last season reports. I very much doubt that they can spend without Champions League money with big spending last summer. Just look with what players they are linked now. Pirlo (for free), Ings (for free), Konoplyanka (for free) !! KDB is one of the hottest products on the market. Liverpool chances are ZERO.
