  1. Why are you bringing Liverpool ? They're outside of Champions League and don't have resources to buy him. From KDB perspective it's way worse than what he has at Wolfsburg when next season they want seriously challenge Bayern.
  2. 1) Griezmann. Easy, big money for them, Vietto already lined up as a replacement for 20m€, so they have 40m€ in the bank. 2) Koke. He's one player that Atletico own in 100%, therefore they wouldn't have to share this transfer with insurance companies. They still have huge debts. And 120m€ is like 75% of their turnover !! I really don't think they are in the position to reject this. 3) Varane. Just watch this space. I'm sure we will pressure this transfer hard. Real already checked on Laporte in January and offered Illaramendi as a sweeter but Bilbao only wanted full 42m€. But if Varane really doesn't want to come or/and Real doesn't want to sell, it's not good. Then we'd have to bid for Laporte, Manolas or Sokratis I think. Every 3 transfers are doable. If some are not attaiable I hope we don't settle for (as always inferior) cheaper alternatives but equal goods.
  3. Don't worry. Club is cleared from 50m£ deficit made in 2012/13 and Torres ballast. From this summer starts new monitoring period without those 2 weights. We really don't have to sell in order to buy now ... Chelsea's last season turnover was ~320m£, this season will be similar, but from next season with new Yokohama deal and Champions League money it will be over 360m£. That's almost 500m€ ! I don't know where idea that Chelsea don't have their own money come from. Whatever Jose is saying it's irrelevant when it comes to transfer market. Besides I doubt that he has more than 25% to say. He himself admitted several times that he doesn't do dealings, he's only 'football person' who only coaches what he has. He said that he has his ideas but he discuss it with other people in the club. He deals with the transfer questions smartly though it's difficult to take his words for granted. Last season for example he was very happy with all 3 strikers (4 if you count Lukaku), not year later they all went in one summer. Oh and the most important thing he said last week : "If you ask me if what we have is enough for next season I say clearly that's not enough". Anyone missed it ?
  4. It's on their site ? I can't find it ... Anyway, this list looks realistic to me. Though if we are signing Griezmann it's automatic agreement to go for someone creative as well.
  5. I don't think it would be an issue. Namely because if he'd come, he has huge price tag on him which could change his status massively. Just ask Demba Ba and Daniel Sturridge.
  6. If we go for Griezmann then I take Griezmann. I think we need Koke and Varane and then we're set. I see some big transfer like Bale, Reus etc. in 2016 if Oscar and Cuadrado don't improve. Then we could turn those 2 into 1 star and add some exciting youngster to the fold.
  7. When Thiago is fully fit he can boss midfield. Some of his 13/14 season games were amazing, literally Xavi mark on the midfield but with drive and tricks as well. Talent wise Thiago is better than Pogba for me. But it's irrevelant when he is so much injury prone. But I hope he leaves his injuries behind him, because he can be joy to watch. Pogba has so much to learn yet. SO MUCH. He is not Mona Lisa of football now. If we go for buying potential world-beaters then go for Fekir. Why not anyone is suggesting in bidding 100m€ for him ?? This hype on Pogba is sick. One of WAGNH authors said that he would exchange Hazard for Pogba. Would like Pogba though. But I hope this talk comes back to Earth where little over year ago Juventus demanded 40m€ for him.
  8. Great ! I recently read an interview with Boga that he dreams about playing for Marseille - hopefully he will be first send there. I wouldn't like to overcrown their team with our loanees so only the best of the best should join them. Boga and Musonda for now. If this is informal partnership it shouldn't be a storage for past talents who club don't know what to do with. Ligue 1 is by far the best league to develop young players. I read top50 prospects annually even though I'm not French League fan, to be up to date with emerging stars. I read that Chelsea met with Lyon as well and they discussed Boga and Traore. Good that Chelsea look to Ligue 1 as the next step. Hopefully in some time we will get to the point when they will sell those players with buy-back clauses.
  9. Just do the deal with Stoke and give them Moses for Begovic without money involved.
  10. Don't think that deal is done but him https://twitter.com/Kike_Marin_has reported story about Mendes involvement and I remember last summer this guy was ahead in Fabregas, Filipe and Diego Costa deals. He's reliable. And if Mendes is involved things are serious now. So steadily, this transfer will pick up the heat in every outlet.
  11. This transfer seems to get closer. I like the idea that club(s) think to get the deal done as quickly as possible. Enough of those never ending operas. If Mourinho is interacting with Mendes and Jorge Mendes is intermediate in this deal, you know things are serious. Also Argentinian media says that Vietto to Atletico is on stand-by. Jose said that he already works on the next season and wants to have as big job done/prepared as possible before he goes on the holiday. It will be very interesting how Jose would fit Griezmann into the side but if he interacts with Mendes to do the job then he has some clear idea about it.
  12. Depay - I think the same why we didn't sign Griezmann in the last January. Then Chelsea were not sure to pay 30m€ for someone unproven at the top team. Maybe it's the same thing again. Also Depay is very much a winger who would directly block Hazard. I don't think he would play as right winger at all though Griezmann seems even more unlikely for that. I genuinely do believe that we need another creative player. I read that Fabregas will supply all those balls ... but Fabregas isn't enough. We already saw two trades from him, going massively downhill in the second part and very ineffectiveness in the big games. When you look at other teams they have many fantastic providers. I saw Fabregas and made my mind and my idea is that he eventually HAS TO be dropped for the big games. He is simply not good enough either for no. 10 role or in the middle to face strong opposition. He isn't elite player and has too many flaws to rely on him solely for the assists. Let him do his job and be the best flat track bully for the first part of the season you can imagine. So in the big games it will always comes down to Eden. I think we need another reliable, top class provider. Reus would be ideal because he is goalscorer, dribbler and provider in one. And he has fantastic hair as well ! But if we go after Griezmann instead, who isn't creative and isn't dribbler, I think we need to secure another source of chance creation. And that means another player.
  13. I read that his clause is only due for Spanish teams. For European clubs that clause is of no relevant. Griezmann is fantastic player, his movement, acceleration, finishing as well as technique is fantastic also he showed numerous times how good his timing is whenever to get behind the line or jump for the ball in the right moment (that's why he scored quite a few goals with his head despite 1,76m height) However he's not creative player. He is goalscorer through and through and his top-notch technique is very misleading in that regard. He only has 24 assists in 253 games in his professional career. Especially I remember last France friendlies when they struggled massively with lack of creativity upfront. Griezmann isn't creative as he isn't dribbler. He has as few as 0,8 dribbles per game ! Now I really don't think he could play as a right-winger. Ok, we can say that he will play as a second striker. But firstly, that would need quite a shift in formation to accommodate both strikers like Diego and Griezmann on the pitch. And the second thing is that I think we actually lack creators. There would still only be Hazard and Fabregas to create. Willian has plenty positive things about him apart from doing football things <30 metres from the goal. We know how easily Fabregas is taken out of any big game on top of his massive downhill in second part of the season. All responsible on Eden then ? I really wouldn't like that to be the case. Of course Griezmann would score goals and that's great but Griezmann alone is absolutely not enough, we certainly would need someone super-creative on top of that to get closer to elite level. I think there's good chance that we will sign Koke as well. Then we can talk about getting to the next level. I think we're close on signing Griezmann. I read that Atletico have already everything prepared for signing Vietto and they see him as a replacement for Griezmann. Which would mean that they are serious about possibility of losing him. Now Mendes apparently is involved as well. And it's coincide with the fact that our target Dybala is going to Juve, so it seems that we fasted things a bit now.
  14. Lol. He has played 6 games since mid December. In one of it he had to come off with injury in the first half. I'm sorry but what to expect from a guy who has 6 games in 5 months ?? You know, match rhythm is having the effect on every player, young inexperience teenagers as well. That's the most important thing. Considering his lack of experience, strong opposition, half squad playing this match straight from the beach, Mikel as a partner, first start for boyhood club and severe lack of match fitness I say that he did very good.
  15. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/antoine-griezmann-could-have-joined-chelsea-last-january-mourinho-bought-mohammed-salah-instead-1500739 Wow ... I knew that there was some sort of interest in him. But I can't imagine that we actually ACTUALLY failed just to pay 30m€. (While we paid more for Cuadrado ) That's why I hate settling for cheaper alternatives. They are inferior. Please do not do this again.
  16. It's interesting. He only has one year on his contract. 6m£ for him is potentially steal, really for the celling he's got. His father said that they want assurance of first team football. If they play hard balls till the end then Chelsea have to sell him with buy back clause. But I think he will sign and then go somewhere on loan.
  17. I'm nervous. He hasn't played regularly for half a year ... In and around 5 games since January. I really don't want to hear when he is way out of match fitness that he proofs that Academy players are not ready. Keep in mind that he hasn't played for months. Hoping for the best though. Well over 100m£ investment was made to get here having one of the best Academies in Europe and he's one of the first fruits of it.
  18. I read that he was MoTM in the last U21 games. He is probably one of those that Mourinho said that they're ready for difficult loans where they weren't ready before. Charlie has improved massively in the last year. Maybe it's Mourinho work ? But it's fantastic how polished tactically and responsible he is with his game.
  19. For me he's a lost cause. One user said this brilliantly, it's one thing to getting used to the tempo and the other looking completely hopeless whenever on the pitch. He hasn't showed anything yet and the most depressing was when he came on against Stoke and was tackled aggressively by Charlie Adam. Later he was afraid to do absolutely anything, because it hurts. Bully treated him badly in school ! Mind of a child. He's physically and mentally weak. Sell him to Barca to play as their right-back to the idea Barca board had in the last summer Or keep him and in the next year replace him with Boga or Musonda.
  20. With right sells I think 3 high calibre players are realistic. And frankly I think Chelsea have to attain 2 CMs. Koke for example on top of turning Ramires and Mikel into 1 quality like Schneiderlin, Witsel or Allan from Udine.
  21. I bet that Boga or Musonda will look better than him ! Tbh I'd cut the losses now and get rid of Cuadrado. Maybe Barca still feel that they need him as a right back ?
  22. Courtois 8 Ivanovic 6 JT 7/8 Cahill 6 Azpilicueta 7 Matic 8/6 Fabregas 9/5 Oscar 7/6 Hazard 10 Willian 6 Diego 8/6 Cech 7 Drogba 5 Remy 6/7 Zouma 6/7 Filipe 6/7 Mikel 6 Ramires 6 Cuadrado 3
  23. Not that I believe in that to happen though I read that Chelsea have intensified look for another forwards after Icardi's likely contract extension and competition for Dybala. Hence recent Lacazette, Griezmann rumours and now Mandzukic as well. I wouldn't be against this transfer if he would be like for like replacement for Drogba. He's great aerial threat, can hold up ball well and is strong. Good replacement for what Drogba has now to offer. For something like 20m€ ~ 15m£ it's good deal, he gives Mou that necessary third option. Though I think we would still need another striker, replacement for Remy but someone really technical, who would give a genuine threat to Diego for his place.
  24. It was fantastic. Many chances, many clear penalties, fantastic on the counter, Malouda vs Alves , Messi completely left out of the game, Eto'o probably the worst game in Barca shirt. We'd have won this game comfortably 9 out of 10 times.
  25. And I really can't criticize manager for doing so. Maybe Guus wanted to search the ground first, after all Barca-style was unknown for everyone. We hardly created any chance but Barca didn't either. But rematch was fantastic if you include the fact that Barcelona just beat Real at Bernabeu by biggest margin in history. They were absolutely flying going to Stamford Bridge.
