  1. Ferguson is pushing for Conte ahead of Mourinho from what I read. However that dude who wrote Conte autobiography is claiming on Twitter that Conte is one step from Chelsea.
  2. That's the plan. Van Ginkel ahead of Chalobah, Kenedy ahead of Traore, Miazga ahead of Christensen. The more succesful loan, the bigger chance that Chelsea buy another youngster to take place from one of their own.
  3. Atlético de Madrid'Cholo' self-critical following Colombian's departure Simeone: "Jackson leaving is my failure" Diego Simeone appeared in front of the press ahead of Saturday's game against Eibar. On Jackson Martínez: "I'll take away what we talked about and when he recently came by to say hi. Jackson brought enthusiasm and excitement to his job but, following our chats, we decided that it was best for all parties involved. Thankfully we'll still be able to look each other in the eyes and say hello whenever we meet. That's what matters to those of us in the game. Those on the outside can say what they want. He made an effort to get involved and compete. We now wish him all the very best and hope that he is happy". On his personal responsibility: "Totally. When a player does not respond it's my responsibility. He was unlucky and unable to give us the best he had to offer and I obviously feel I have a part in that. You have to take an honest look at each and every situation and talk things through like men. We all have to make decisions when choosing what we want. Hopefully, he can get back to the kind of form we'd hoped he'd show here, but it's my failure that Jackson isn't staying. It's all part of the game and I'm clear that I'm not going to change my playing style". Jose teached us that when players are not responding then they betray him and quite a few people believed in it. From Diego with love
  4. Thank you. I was going to write the same last night but was too tired. I have two friends who both are Milan fans, and not related to each other btw, and they both were saying how clueless Allegri was in Milan. Literally every week. He broke Ibra record with streak of winning championships btw, I can't forgive him that ! Otherwise Ibra would be on his 13th season in the row with league title. Even though Ibra was top scorer they blew title away. I think Allegri is a good coach, but from outside, he lacks a personality for me. Looks like perfect fit for good times. We're in pretty bad time now Also what is that with saying that he had huge task on him when took over Juve in 2014/15 season ? In previous campaign Juve won the championship with 102 points with record number of advantage. They didn't sell any important player, well that for me are good times to take team over. Imo Simeone shits on every other candidate but hey, that's why he is by far the hardest to take.
  5. Wow, once they stay there more than a year I will say it's very serious. For now it still looks like caprice of millionaires. The best player of Polish League moved there last winter and now is free agent after agreeing to break the contract. Drogba was back in Europe within 6 months. Let's see. Their project is hugely ambitious. Wouldn't be surprised if top coaches in their good ages will move there soon. And I mean 50 thousand football schools within the next decade are going to be build there, that's mad. Lots of changes keeps this thing interesting.
  6. At the moment for me : 1. Diego Simeone. 2. Jorge Sampaoli. 3. Antonio Conte. 4. Massimiliano Allegri. Would like to think about someone like Roger Schmidt (Bayer Leverkusen) or Leonardo Jardim (Monaco) but that's surely no go. But every one mentioned above has my fear. With no one I have 100% trust, not even Simeone. With everyone I can imagine failing, well only Simeone give me hope about sure top 4. There's no clear target and with managers playing very different style linked with Chelsea you can be sure that club still has their options wide open. If only Jose wasn't so damn stubborn ...
  7. Nothing special yet he set the record yesterday for most wins in the row in Juve history.
  8. Some players are finished here. Whole club is going to be restructured. There will be a lot of changes so there's no problem to have a manager with fresh approach.
  9. Chelsea have to buy themself out of this. They certainly can buy 50-60m€ player. However he has to be worth it in their eyes. Otherwise they wait or move on. They did wait last summer. They did bid for world-class talents. Their self-sustainable project is about setting their realistic valuation of the players and not going above this. How long can you wait ? I fear that if they fail with their bids again they have to overpay. And I don't know if they're ready for this. I fear they may again settle for lesser players because they didn't want to go above their limit and I hate this. It will be the most interesting summer I remember. As I said I think they absolutely have to buy themself out for that one last time. There's too many clubs now who can buy good player. We have to buy great talents and 1-2 great players. Will they be eager to overpay for this, something they hate to do for years, that's the question. Depends how they are motivated.
  10. So what's the difference between Chelsea and Spurs ? I always thought that we can buy world-class talents and they don't.
  11. It would be interesting to see if he can recover next season as he surely can be great player but at the moment is the worst midfielder in the Premier League. (Still time to sell him to China though)
  12. I never know why Chelsea bought him when they had perfectly good Chalobah after his best loan spell at Watford. Blocking path of their own young player with slightly more established youngster, why do this ? And Marco Van Ginkel never was a super talent to explain this. But Chelsea like to do this. Similar with Kenedy when they have Boga, Musonda and Traore and now with Miazga when they have Christansen.
  13. Thanks, you just remind me of this effect. They are right telling that mass media is the first power, not even fourth now, but bloody first.
  14. Hmm you're Italian so honestly, is he that defensive as some make him out to be ? He went one full season unbeaten and the other season took the league with 102 points. That's what matters I think. But you would like to have it all.
  15. It's mental tbf. Ramires 25m€ KDB sell on clause 12m€ Salah 22m€ Remy 16m€ = 75m€ (And maybe Cuadrado will be sold in the coming days) We could sign one world-class talent for that and it would improve us much more than all those good-not very good players (KDB excluded). In the summer though Not rushing things and not doing anything stupid like spending ridiculous money and overpay.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/CFCGlobal/videos/793998834051219/ Watch the very first minutes. Maybe it will clear things. He is not responsible for recruitment per se. He is like an intermediary who works between recruitment and first team. Not only on recruitment by also on between youth team and the first team relation. Intermediate but not executive. If you listened what Jose said carefully, he said it a lot of times this by the way, that there're a lot of teams working on transfer policy. And he said that it is organised very good but he is only a football man in this, there's huge scouting network and financial team who consider transfers.
  17. One game against Real Madrid can be sufficient to make a judgement ? Although that was as recent as it can be so I am up to date ! Nah, just kidding. I have no idea and one game against Real isn't enough to make a statement.
  18. Looks like Dani Ceballos will be his rival. He is an amazing prospect too, he was wanted after U19 Euros by every top club in Europe (thanks to his contract situation). And it doesn't seem he is undoubted starter there either so there will be a lot of competition unfortunately for Charly. It doesn't bode well at the moment.
  19. The more appropriate question is if he was older he would be so highly rated ? I often use this against Pogba. If he was Vidal/Marchisio age no chance he would be so appreciated like he is today. But because he is young people and quite good today people think that he will be awesome good in future.
  20. Everton really should sell us for 30m. Originally I thought he is overrated, then seen couple of his good games and believed he is the real deal. Only to come back and think he is overrated again. Making mistakes like there is no tomorrow. And this nonchalant style. When everything is going his way it's classy and very enjoyable but when things go wrong it's stupid but he doesn't know any other way right ?
  21. Mate, talking to you is pointless. You're acting like a spoiled brat. Ehh. Get your facts right btw. I'm out.
  22. 1) For the last time, Papy Djilobodji transfer meant nothing as Douglas transfer meant nothing for Barcelona. Citing him as an example for transfer failings is cheap, unfounded and quite frankly not reasonable and only good for banter, not to use him in argument. Let's leave it as it is. 2) Top CB market is limited. Chelsea wanted top CB in the summer, who can blame them ? As Barcelona showed and Manchester United showed it's not easy, very hard actually to buy top CB or top young prospect. Let's not throw toys out of pram. Chelsea wanted top quality (finally), not settling for second best, stop-gap signings and cheaper alternatives (finally). I appreciate it. 3) Let's not see black and white things. So many people praised Chelsea after 2014 summer transfer window but why ? They bought good players. But those players (Cesc, Diego Costa, Filipe Luis) were easy to buy. Barca wanted to get rid of Cesc and Diego Costa had a release clause. This time (summer 2015) was way more difficult. But a failure wasn't due of lack of trying but harder circumstances. I hate this narrative that 2014 window was perfect and 2015 was shambolic as it doesn't work like that and you can't judge it this way. Let's hope that waiting to good players being available in 2016 will pay off as I'm fairly optimistic it will. Let's see. 4) Of course this squad is capable of top4. Leicester is in top4. Chelsea were in top4 fairly easly with this squad in the last 3 seasons. And the squad average age is 26,5 so literally perfect, prime years. 5) Emenalo is not responsible for majority of things he is blamed for. Certainly not for the shape of the squad. Chelsea hire many senior scouts who have far more important input here.
  23. So do you say to me, basically, fuck it, Laporte has releause clause of 50m€, which would be the highest transfer for defender ever, for a guy who achieved nothing and is 21 ? Therefore not being stupid enough to pay it is a failure ? That's definition of throwing toys out of pram. Nicolas Otamendi was player with one good season under his belt, who before his move to Valencia was coming back to South America as Porto wanted to get rid of him and sold him for cheap. Even though I like him very much, he was sold for what, 45m€ ? After one good season. And btw, I don't think he's settling that well in England as was surely a concern for other English sides. Yes, I'd like Chelsea to spend obscene amount of money for every hot prospect like every supporter would want but I can understand club that they don't want to be held to ransom anymore. It's reasonable.
  24. It allows you to see things from perspective. Yes, better buy second best players and then moan that the shaped squad is terrible. You're all on Pato transfer I assume ? "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" I will wait patiently. The fact is this squad is more than good enough for top4 and if Leicester or Spurs challange for championship, this Chelsea squad is even good enough for that. Arsenal had shambolic transfer window, so too Manchester United. Yet we're behind them. That's the perspective I'm talking about.
