  1. Conte had 3 great CBs in Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli therefore he was playing with 3 at the back, here he has none. If he's earning 12m€ a year on top of bringing 10 men football staff, on top of bringing new sporting director it would be insane if he had little to nothing control over transfers and someone would pull the strings before him. Besides, Roman is pissed. He demands the best. This season is unaccaptable. Be positive. I'm positive. We will bring goodies.
  2. He was short-term replacement for Remy/Falcao. Don't know if you remember but Remy was very close to moving to Leicester and there was China move on the cards. So club was sure that they will lose either of Remy or Falcao. They didn't so maybe they should terminate this loan right away if that was possible.
  3. Those 3 players are clear upgrade, that's what I call strenghtening the squad. Even though they are 29, 28 and 29 respectively.
  4. Ha, knowing Chelsea, they will break all people's hearts and win it. And be the most hated team again. Just think of Liverpool in 2014. No, never giving up any match. I want Chelsea to win, losing AT HOME is out of question. If Leicester want they have to fight. Good think that it is last game of the season so everything, hopefully, be decided. Really wouldn't mind seeing clapping and victory lane before the game !
  5. Selling by far our most talented player would be strong message of intent as well. James is outstanding talent but he should be playing with Hazard, in the same team. This is the player we've been crying for, a guy who matches the skill and potential of Hazard. I'd go for 1 James type player than 3 "good" players. Exchanging them is bad idea. They should be playing together.
  6. As for Dortmund, one thing that seperates them and Chelsea, is that they don't pressure on Champions League qualification so much. I was reading/listening what Watzke (Dortmund CEO) has to say on weekly basis when 3 Poles were playing there. They don't set their budget in the way that they have to qualify for the Champions League. It's a bonus money for them while for Chelsea it's neccesity and there is huge pressure to protect that Champions League status. Chelsea have to think how to manage that situation with no Champions League in the future. They should include clauses in players contract. Of course not something drastic but 10%-15% cut on wages will soft the blow. Now Premier League TV deal is softening the blow greatly, ha, even gains outweight the losses as Chelsea never received as much money from the Champions League participation as they will receive that extra income from the Premier League. So now situation is not that bad money-wise. I still don't think that Chelsea need drastic changes. I really think we're back at the square one. I look at the situation this time last year and Chelsea still need the same exact buys. Not wholesale changes ! Dortmund didn't get radical. Remember when list in their squad went like this Weidenfeller - allow cheap goals, Piszczek - after injury he is finished, Hummels - mistake after mistake, Subotic - after injury he is finished, Schmelzer - after injury he is maybe not finished but very average, Gundogan - after injury he is finished, Reus - injuries on top of injuries, Mkhitaryan - guy couldn't score in brothel let alone on a football pitch, he can't acclimatize, Błaszczykowski - after injury he is finished, Ramos - he is useless, can't acclimatize, Immobile - very immobile indeed, useless, can't acclimatize And all they added to the squad was one signinig, Castro, for 10m€ and 2 cheap signings in Weigl and Burki, their equivalent of Miazga and Pasalic, which here would be ridicouled. Oh, and they had a new coach !!! So even though they were relegation-bound at the some point they didn't make drastic changes. All they needed was the right man. And sure they acquired one ! So as always, new CB, new CM, new AM and new striker. That's it. That list stands for 12 months. We need ball-playing centre back. Now seeing the emergence of Christensen I'd like that man to be some older and more expierienced player. Bonucci is a dream. We need fast, athetic but technical midfielder. Nainggolan, who else ? Attacking midfielder of talent level of Hazard. Someone who can create on regular basis. Isco is the man but surely could do worse than give Musonda a chance. And a striker. A areal competition to Diego Costa. Someone regular with good ball control, link up play and injury free. However after emergence of Ramires departure and probable JT departure it makes that list 2 names longer as they need their replacement too. Anyway if Conte want to dump the whole squad I hope he can do this and have power in his hands to do this but I doubt that is needed. The overdue transfers from last summer are needed and the rest are in his coaching, motivating and fitness preparing abilities.
  7. Chelsea couldn't create a half-chance. It was truly depressing to see no creativity, no vision, no idea how to play. Match would last another 90 minutes and I wouldn't bet for us to being close to score. To think that Chelsea had a luxury of having Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Kevin De Bruyne and Schurrle in the same squad and leaving one of them in the stands and two on the bench and then see how for the love of God we can't create A CHANCE, through ball to being forbidden, how's that happened ? We make a circus of that left-back spot and to think we had Bertrand and Filipe Luis to choose from ! Gulp. I. CAN'T. COMPREHEND. THINGS.
  8. Please, please make a gif from the first goal and what Cahill was doing there, spinning around. I can't bother about the result until I stop laughing from this.
  9. You know what and I'm being dead serious, I only now recovered from what Cahill was doing in the first goal to see that Chelsea are 2 goals down and 1 man less. That was so fucking epic from Cahill I couldn't stop laughing !
  10. Costa booed in Sunderland game. Swift skip few months later to PSG game "If only more players were like Costa" ....
  11. You forgot about Courtois, Ivanovic, Diego Costa, Pedro, Baba and Begovic. Every one of them was mentioned in the last months being available and considering leaving. Have you seen such massive overhaul, ever ?
  12. A few players is a big diffrence to half the playing squad. They simply made this up.
  13. Look what a beast Chelsea have. I wonder if he is terminally ill or it is something that can be repaired. After all he is still young and had no major injury so there's a hope that he recovers after restart. Personally would keep him ahead of Mikel simply because the heights he may achieve.
  14. Mourinho said that he prefers to play with tired Hazard than with no Hazard because Hazard always can do something special. Wtf was that. Now Chelsea pay the price for that and that bad pre-season. It needs to be restarted.
  15. Form is temporary. They can still win a silverware this season. Besides it would be a preccedens to have such a massive overhaul. They forgot to add Courtois to the list btw and Mikel and Fabregas.
  16. They enjoy this, definetely, the media. Yes, Chelsea will liquidate just because they missed one Champions League participation. YES, let's ignore that Premier League from next season will bring over £50millions extra income for Chelsea which is more than Chelsea ever received from the Champions League.
  17. Chelsea pre-season was bad. Diego Costa was the fat man as well well beyond the start of the season. Cesc Fabregas a bit too. Yes, it is tiresome and yes footballers shouldn't come fat from vacation. Maybe their bodies reacts this way to lack of intesity, because I don't believe that they eat 3 course meal in McDonald every day while on holidays. Tbf only Diego has recovered from early season form. Both physically and mentality. Hazard and Matic are off the pace. Don't look like physically ready, never looked. So I can assume that preperation plan was wrong. Even Mourinho said that they experimented with short pre-season and believe that players reacted diffrent than they expected. And this is one of the strategic problem. The other is lack of confidence. You literally has to restart the whole thing and start from zero at this point. And that what new season brings you.
  18. To answer that question - yeah I have no doubt they will. Antonio Conte is such a pain in the ass for the board. He is anything but yes man. He will complain and his voice will be heard. He won't be gentle and he will always demand his signings. And he has great barganing power at the moment. He's great man for the rebuilding side. If Guus stays it will be even better. Even in 2009 Guus was saying that Chelsea need quality and he is saying the same every time now. That Chelsea need an upgrade. If he is to take any prominent role that has something to say, that's great for Chelsea. Roman is still the same. He still demands the best, that's what Mourinho, Ancelotti and everyone was saying. And know he knows Chelsea need much more quality and probably have to overpay for this. The "Moneyball" approach was great to the point like this. Chelsea pay the biggest wages in the league. Maybe they were too ambitious last summer going for unrealistic targets but they still want to commit huge money into this. And just think of all the players that can be sold and I don't even touch first team players (bar Oscar). TBF I'm not worried at all just excited.
  19. Easier said than done. You say dynamic playmaker "think Modric" and I think very hardly as you want and I can only get with two names and that is Modric and Gundogan. No one else at this level who is dynamic and a playmaker. Unless something has to give in either aspect. Or unless there is a hidden gem somewhere that we don't know yet. (Or unless we're moving Musonda to CM position)
  20. The most frustrating thing is that PSG is so fucking weak. Feel like being done by Everton type team not top and that is why I'm fuming.
  21. On mertis, Oscar shouldnt be anywhere near the team but it depends if Veratti and Matuidi will play. He can be handy if they do. Chelsea midfield is such a poverty, anything you do will upgrade it. If they play Stambouli and Rabiot I think Chelsea can do this. Hopefully they don't die in the second half like 3 weeks ago. If they will execute the first half performance from that game everything is open. No clear favourite.
  22. May be the last Champions League match at Stamford Bridge for a very long time. Enjoy the moment.
  23. I watched Roma vs Fiorentina. Nainggolan was great IMO. What a player in this form. They have to do this if Conte wants him. I got an idea of my preferred midfield. If they were to buy Nainggolan and keep Cesc in the side I think Witsel would complete that midfield well. He is solid DM, who can stabilize this midfield and is pretty physical. However, he has amazing technique so he won't break up the attacks which is big problem at the moment. That of course after Chelsea made several bids for Veratti, Pogba, Koke and Gundogan needless to say.
  24. If they were to buy him, they would do this by now. He is on Chelsea radar since 2012. There were quotes from Chelsea chief scout Guy Hilton who said that they like him a lot. At least two times they made an offer for him, once when he played for Guingamp and then in Marseille. Why they didn't pull this one out is a guess but I think even today you could see that he really is incosistent even in the same game. Great, great potential though and Chelsea know that. If he is able to stabilize himself (after all there is a reason why he was sold from Porto after 6 months with only 2m€ profit) and be consistent, he will be a gem.
  25. What exactly are you saying by that ? I remember clearly when Mourinho tried to bring Thibaut back in 2013 but he was already tied to another season with Atletico and Mou said that unfortunately they have to wait another year for him. After he eventually come back he was chosen because he was simply the better goalkeeper. There were no two questions about that as Cech was relatively poor and Courtois outstanding. Shocking that I can't recall the exact games but I remember I was reading an article when there was pointed out where Mourinho had enough of Cech. And please, Mourinho is the biggest opportunitist around and we know that, he choose Courtois because he was the better player who could help him land the title.
