  1. And to cap it all off, Arsene Wenger wins the title and ends his career on high note. Watch this space.
  2. It's going to be so sweet when Kevin De Bruyne will give a MOTD performance in Manchester derby, he he.
  3. If Arsenal (!!!) of all clubs are closing in on of the best midfielders in Europe last season I think we really can feel impatient. We are still in this enquiries and talks limbo and doesn't look like we get out of here soon enough. Doesn't seem that something is happening at all. Last season this time I would be called a kid who doesn't have his new toys and make rumbling about this but now everyone agrees that there are worry early signs of inactivity. How the hell Nainggolan isn't signed on dotted lines yet ? And that offer for Koulibaly was probably something funny like 20m€ or smth. Meh.
  4. I felt the same back in 2011 but now I don't know. Man United team was poor back then, they were the worst champion ever as far as I can remember. Chelsea were poor also but they still held them to deciding match, right ? If not David Luiz blinder at this match, who knows ? And seriously how much you can expect from a team of Anelka, Malouda, Kalou as your go to attacking trio ? I feel we're too harsh here. Outside it looks everything disaster and the manager makes so much wrong but now after I'm older and follow football closely and think about it, every manager makes mistakes, a lot of them actually when you look from distance. Look, I felt back then that Chelsea team were uninspired and Carlo just stood there raising his eyebrow and looking everything like "I don't have a clue", his most inspiring and fresh decision was to put Anelka at the diamond against Sunderland away, which coincidentally was the best game from Chelsea in that season. But looking at this now, the squad was old, Chelsea board for their stupid 1 year policy let Ballack go because they couldn't offer him 2 years, transfers were poor and Carlo had to introduce a few youngsters, which were far worse than our current crop. And still we held United to deciding match, were knocked out by Everton in the shoot-out after conceding very late equaliser and finally the Champions League. So we are at that Man Utd game. You remember that was very close game and we should have a penalty in the first leg. Then in the second Torres had a great chance and we were one goal away from semi-final. Very fine line between getting through and being knocked-out. Jose Mourinho and his season with Inter, THAT TREBLE SEASON, was about fine margins too. They actually should have lost the title to Roma and should have been knocked-out by Barca. But they were lucky. We were not. So at the end we had 2nd place, were unlucky in the FA Cup and the Champions League. With the squad of Malouda, Kalou, Zhirkov, Anelka, the biggest flop in transfer history, Drogba with malaria as your attacking force plus early Essien ACL, direction from above to introduce 5 youngsters, letting Ballack go. Getting comfortable CL place looks like achievement when you look at this.
  5. 19 years to date when Chelsea won FA CUP in final match against Middlesbrough. 2:0 Watching highlights now. But there's one thing that bothers me. How the hell there was only three substitutions on the bench in each team ?
  6. 1. Our new kits : IMO material looks nice and silky. It's ideal shade of blue, a little darker, I love it. The font looks nice too for what it is worth. And those embedded lions are not so visible outside fully set photographic studio with thousands of lumens on it. It looks perfect on that pictures with Diego Costa, material looks really cool, similar to Roma shirts. When it's wet it's even better. And goalkeepers shirt has great colour. Overall it's very good IMO. 2. New kit sponsor : great shout @WHS. Chelsea have the second biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the market, very close to Man Utd and after Man Utd signed a new kit deal with Adidas, I'm sure Chelsea and other clubs started to ask questions about it. Chelsea will surely bridge that gap as well. They are doing an excellent job on marketing end. Though it's a shame because I'm fanboy of Adidas since I was very little and had my first collection book.
  7. And how good was JT last season ? Wasn't that deserving a new 2 year deal ? He played every minute in every game in title winning season, he was excellent, you can't do better than that. And now everyone points to him and say "ha, you're decling" when everyone was a bit shit this season, especially the back four.
  8. Piotr Zieliński will move to Liverpool in the next few days ! He is by far my favourite Polish player, he is such a rare breed, absolute wonderful touch and vision, truly wonderful football brain, how the hell these players are not appreciated more ? Even in the national team he is preferred behind of some donkeys who are bigger and tougher but certainly not smarter. I think this move is too soon though and feel that may end like many before who moved too soon and looked completely out of place like Markovic for example. Here is hoping that Klopp will do his touch on another Polish player and make him one of the best in his position. But I'm a bit scaried but also excited. If Zieliński will play in central area and cope there, in the Premier League, with his frame, that would be some achievement. Also it probably ends Liverpool chances of getting Goetze so maybe Chelsea have a chance of landing him ?
  9. If I was him I'd fuck club off and walk away. If anyone would said to me that I'm past it after playing every minute of every match in title winning season and point to me that this season just shows my age when whole club was awful and almost each and every player was sub-par, I'd leave and make a fortune elsewhere. That's my personal opinion, if JT takes whatever he was offered but with footnote that he will be part time player for no reason, then he is really emotion driven man with this club and true legend because I'd refuse. And BTW why Barzagli just signed a new 2 year contract with Juventus ? He is Terry age, 35, yet he was rewarded for his services with a 2 year deal. Buffon as well. Yet Chelsea are set stoned to keep this one year policy. Juve was relegated 10 years ago, and back2back seven in the league before Conte arrived in 2011, now they look wonderful football family with the new stadium, everyone cares for each other while Chelsea couldn't look much more corpo even if they tried.
  10. Not going off Twitter yet because I may miss another Bayern transfer.
  11. He's not 75m€ player, he is 9m€ player in my eyes, the sum he was bought from Genk. His game against Real yesterday was as bad as his game against them in 2013 at pre-season. Like a complete and utter failure. That was his only such poor game there in pre-season and this is his only such poor game here in the season. Maybe he can't perform against Real. And talking about overraction Fuck me, it's either Mount Everest or Mariana Trench. Where was Aguero in all this ? Apparently the best ball-playing striker in the world, can't keep the ball to save his life. World-class my ass. But oh well he is actually world-class, as is De Bruyne. But "Nadie es perfecto" as they say in Spain.
  12. Lol, what's the odds that it won't be done before Euros, Belgium will play great with rejuvenated Hazard and Nainggolan in midfield and the price will skyrock after the tournament ?
  13. Almost a year when I thought we got him. Not a chance now. And to be fair if I was him I wouldn't contemplate moving anywhere for any money.
  14. You know, the good thing is that if Chelsea pay the money for permanent transfer then I bet it wouldn't be too difficult to sell him for the same price as there's big need for Brazilians in China. At least that.
  15. If Conte does play with 2 strikers and assuming one of them is no Hazard and with midfield 3 (Radja+Fabregas+someone else) then I don't see a spot for Willian. Chelsea could very well use that money to buy the second striker. One of Willian/Oscar should definetely leave.
  16. So Chelsea got transfer ban, PR disaster and potential other troubles for a youngster that you wrote off after 20 minutes ? Please behave with this "I told you so" moment.
  17. Come on. You credited and discredited him in the same sentence. TBF you know that when Pirlo had a marker on him he was non-existed ? There's a reason why he was left out by Milan and thrived in Juventus in the right system with Vidal and Marchisio. Even Xavi in Barca bad days, when they're not dominating is not very good. Still remember the horror show he gave against Bayern in 2012/13 ? He even was substituted early in the second half in the second-leg. Cesc is no Xavi in terms of keeping the possession however Cesc is still good when no one is throwing him under the bus. Yes, you have to provide Cesc a platform to perform. He has world-class abilities, however he has deficiencies that in bad shape can turn him into the worst player on the pitch. Otherwise don't bother. I'm starting to love Cesc, his off the pitch interviews and quotes are great and on the field he can be great and I hope we can make him look great next season.
  18. Can anyone put here his interview with BBC after the game ? I can't find.
  19. £20m as an opening bid doesn't sound ridicoulus now, huh ? I believe he can be one of the best but what he is playing now ? Though I have a fetish for ball-playing CBs and can forgive them almost everything. Chelsea valuation was spot-on. But hell, I'd take him in a hearbeat in any moment. I love Christensen and I think they're very similar with Stones in builds and how they move. Christensen doesn't show so far much of ball-carrying abilities in the senior football but he can do this as I saw it in youth team. Apart from 2 years of expierience, they are very similar. Would love Christensen and Stones playing together but they're probably too young to do this in forseeble future and probably too weak physically at the moment to do this in the Premier League. My stance is that if we have an opportunity to sign Stones we should do this, absoulutely. We probably try with older players though, hopefully he will have any competence how to play with the ball and not to panic with possession.
  20. IMO we should at least try to play with 2 upfront with Diego Costa and Traore leading the line. What the hell is with this obsession with 4-2-3-1.
  21. If he would play in the centre we would have Mikel in the CB and Ruben and Fabregas ahead of him. I think that's ridicoulus. Anyway he will have his chance in this game.
  22. Barca has too much problems in keeping those three forwards in the team and pay their wages. They have the biggest payroll and I don't think they're in position to sign Pogba. From what is rumoured, they would have to sell one of Messi/Neymar/Suarez. Oh, and they revealed yesterday that they're starting rebuilding the Camp Nou from 2017 for 600m€ and have to take credit for it. How they can break the transfer record and add Pogba's wages to already bad situation, I don't think they can.
  23. Scenes ! Emenalo said : And for 15 minutes I was checking Todd Kane season and how he's doing and thinking that maybe he can cut it. Then I logged on Twitter and literally first tweet and the link below : http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2016/04/22/22681502/chelsea-loanee-todd-kane-tears-cruciate-ligament?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Todd Kane done his ACL. Emenalo curse. Scenes !
  24. If Mourinho takes over United then I'd guess he would be much more interested in signing someone like Hummels than Stones. We don't even know if Stones was chased from Mourinho orders or not. Knowing Jose, he would probably much rather bring 32yo Lucio than young CB.
