I'm sure they've since shook hands over it, Maka most likely reasoning with JT about how boring his book would have been without it etc. Essentially though, JT had to get his lawyers involved and it's an unforgivable thing to be accused of by a former teammate, and so publicly.
-
What makes this picture even more awkward, is that JT actually had to send out his lawyers to deny Makelele's claims that he got Mourinho sacked. A former team mate betraying him like that, just to add spice to his book must have been a bitter blow for him. http://www.guardian....ourinho-chelsea

Arsenal and a bunch of other PL clubs use Sky/itv commentary from the night itself for their DVD's. Unfortunately for us, some idiot thought it would be a good idea to create underwhelming home-made commentary, smh.
-
The real reason players get yellow cards for taking their shirts off during celebrations, is because of the corporate sponsors on the shirt itself.
-
manpe And while we're on the subject, the MOTM thread needs updating, I won it in April.
-
When was the last time that happened though?, the only major sale of the Roman era was Robben. I've seen people on here take a similar attitude towards Hazard's future too, strange.. considering.
-
Well, we've found our new free-kick taker.
-
This theory is impossible to disprove, nobody knows the inner workings of the club, unless Ron Gourlay has an account on Talk Chelsea. It’s an interpretation that it‘s taken into consideration as part of the overall process. The Thorgan Hazard transfer is the most obvious example though, even without confirmation we all know why that went through. At a club where the manager changes every year, it helps if you have a strong dressing room.
-
Hats off to the club for not retiring the number, what a ridiculous idea that would have been.
-
The screenshots are from twitter, doubt theres any photoshop involved.. If you go on the official site right now (the home page), Oscar appears as the number 11 on the personalisation app.

Oscar's Number Leaked... http://www.weaintgot...-number-chelsea
-
Good news, if true.. I won't hold my breath after the Hazard fiasco. 1-11 numbers should never be retired.
-
Yes, but as you've already admitted.. you misinterpreted my original post.
-
He's doing his brother a favour, he wants him in London, when you cost £32m you can afford to pull some strings.
-
It was quite clear what I was saying from the first post.. You could have avoided discrediting my point if that really was the case.
-
You must be delusional if you think Thorgan would be a Chelsea player if Eden had signed for City instead. Eden wants his brother in London.
-
^ Yes?, all part of the same national squad either way. I'm not going to expand further on the first post, as it's been covered already.. I never said it was the sole reason, just that the dressing room has been considered as part of the process.
-
coincidence would imply no thought has been put into it at all.. The Thorgan Hazard acquisition destroys Caps original broad apposing argument.
-
Torres played a role in the Mata signing, both directly & indirectly.
-
Notice how certain players/nationalities have been brought in 'partly' for dressing room harmony. The club acquired Hazard's brother to further accommodate him, and before his arrival we confirmed the De Bruyne & Courtois deals, and brought in Lukaku. Having a contingent of players from particular backgrounds. Benayoun was a welcome face upon arrival for Torres. He was eventually joined by former Liverpool counterpart Meireles and Spain team mate Mata, and later Romeu, boosting the Spanish numbers. We saw a similar pattern developing after the Ramires acquisition, with the Brazilians. Of course there are exceptions to this, but the way the dressing room has been constructed recently would certainly indicate to it not being a mere coincidence. With the constant manager changes over the years, the club have at least managed to combat culture clashes effectively, and have managed to construct an identity/harmony within the squad.

"I spoke to him before he signed, I told him Chelsea is a great club and that it is a big opportunity in his professional life, to show his football to the world. Chelsea is one of the top five teams in the world and I think it was the best choice for him." "Oscar has his own characteristics, you cannot compare him to other people on the pitch, but off it he reminds me of Ramires,' the defender explained. He is an amazing person, a very simple guy to get to know, very quiet and respectful of everybody around him. I know he will have a great future with us, not just on the pitch but outside the pitch also." - David Luiz http://www.chelseafc...2862234,00.html

Chelsea FC are beating FFP in 6 simple steps
Term-X replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
United fans founded 'FC United Of Manchester'.. It wasn't a delayed comment btw, I was responding more to your negative response to how we've bypassed FFP, and how that coincides.
