  1. Clearly these are two separate issues we have in this country when it comes to the issue of child rape. Up in Bradford a few years back, I met Muslim pimps, some wearing mini Koran pendants on heavy, gold chains. "Not our girls," they reassured me, "just them white girls from the estates, cheap girls. They love it man, all the money they make! What else will they do with their lives? We're helping them make a career."Much laughter, until I asked them what they would do if a white pimp groomed their daughters. They would kill the pimp and the girls too, they said. They would too."
  2. Really? Have no idea what the reaction to that will be, but nothing compared to what QPR supporters will say. Know the council is looking to build a Crossrail station there so it'll be an area of regeneration, which usually gives cases like our's an easier run. We'd also be in Kensington and Chelsea if that matters. Here's the proposed station which is right next to the gasworks. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. Anyways the transport links look fantastic. Direct lines to Berkshire and Kent plus links to Heathrow, Liverpool St., Paddington and even the proposed West Coast Mainline.
  3. That's like saying you have a problem with Liverpool FC but not the supporters - believers give the religion life. Without it it's just a collection of words and ideas floating in the ether. Personally, I think it's a cop-out.
  4. We also have Ake and Chalobah (who seems likely to go out on loan). Honestly I think Van Ginkel is probably going to go the route of Romeu. His chance to break through was last year but he got injured. Sometimes you only get one shot. Unless you're John Obi Mikel.
  5. So you have a problem with individuals or corporations who use political machinations to exploit or harm the masses for their own personal gain by co-opting natural/national resources for personal gain?
  6. I'm actually fairly liberal on most subjects from women's rights to drug laws to gay rights and free speech. But I'm sure that the Manning line was just a throwaway one that you didn't put much thought into and couldn't back up if I challenged you so I won't take it too personally. As for the crown having influence, I think you're grossly overstating it. Institutions like that simply don't have the power they once did. Classrooms and textbooks are great, but should be taken in context. I'm sure your professors weren't lying but I guarantee they certainly weren't without bias and any source should be critically analysed. I think some of your posts are very 'right-on' but sound utterly regurgitated and don't actually have much in terms of opinion or originality about them. That probably sounds a bit more critical then I meant it to but there's a lot of fluff to your posts. You clearly have an agenda against arms companies and see conspiracies in them, but I'd really like a straight answer to what you actually think about Islam. I've been quite open about my views on it (and other religions) which has seen me labelled as Islamaphobic and 'Manning-esque', but what do you truly think about it?
  7. Even if there is interest, why jinx it? Just assume it won't happen and if it does then you get a happy surprise.
  8. Awful to think that we're actually going to loan out this kid and retain Mikel because Mikel bears a passing resemblance to a holding midfielder. If we lose Oscar or Fabregas for a game or two then Van Ginkel's game is the closest of all of our midfielders to their's but he simply might not get enough games. If he does go out on loan then hopefully it's only a short-term one and he tears it up in Serie A.
  9. According to reports, Cavani earns about 7 times as much as Destro and would cost about double. In a team that plays a mostly one striker system, two marquee players are hard to accommodate both on the pitch and in the books.
  10. That's a fair point. On a personal level he's earning a lot of money for not much, but he's got a family to think of. That's something everyone has to contend with. But what does that say about him as a sportsperson? He certainly doesn't have the ability to be a top-level sportsman anymore and that would just confirm he doesn't have the mentality either. He's a bit-part player at this club and he's got the opportunity to go to a new league and prove people wrong. But maybe he doesn't want to do that. Maybe he wants to be the new Winston Bogarde and just see out his contract on the training pitch, with the occasional appearance on a football pitch. He can most certainly do that if he pleases but he'll get abuse from every Chelsea supporter and disdain from every football supporter.
  11. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/08/saville-makes-wolves-move.html Gone. Best of luck to him.
  12. I'd expect a few stories to start appearing about how he turned down the deal if this happens. So far the crowd has been behind him, but if it looks like he's refusing to move just because of money then it could get ugly.
  13. Weird with Gerrard retiring, Barkley injured and Wilshere shit. 6th most-capped player is not a bad achievement.
  14. I know a pub team who are looking for a waterboy. But seriously, Welbeck is United's Kalou. He's just not good at football.
  15. Is Willian actually fast? He's looks nippy but does he actually have out and out pace? Jose wouldn't do that. Brenton definitely would, but Jose wouldn't.
  16. Could see the logic in any selection here. Ramires workrate makes us more defensively solid, but Oscar has that and the ability to pick a pass and get a goal. Willian also has that workrate and ability to hit teams on the counter whilst this is exactly the type of game you'd want someone like Schurrle to nick a goal. Just got to trust Jose and once again rejoice in the fact we have these selection issues, compared to a couple of seasons ago when everyone could predict the team 6 weeks in advance. Courtois, Azpi, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Matic, Costa and Hazard nailed on. Fabregas almost certain to start. Choices between Oscar, Schurrle, Willian and Ramires.
  17. I've not seen much of him but he's never struck me as a particularly special talent. But if Jose likes him then why not? Serie A simply isn't a reliable barometer for a player's talent anymore.
  18. £59.7 million http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28915510 Desperation buy from United and Real must be laughing their arses off.
  19. Marginally. Oscar had a poor second half of the season but Willian hardly set the pitch on fire when he was on it. In the two matches this season, Oscar has played in a different role and been impressive in spots. I'd probably go with Oscar or Ramires against Everton, not sure what Willian offers in that position to be honest.
  20. By looking good against a team who had the wind knocked out of them with the Costa goal and were tiring after 70 minutes? 3 minutes after Willian came on they bought on Taylor-Fletcher, a man who is clearly about a stone too heavy to be a professional footballer. Maybe not the sternest of tests?
  21. That's a really nice idea and the Attenborough Stand has a fantastic ring to it. Would love to see something like that happen. We'll be wearing black armbands at Everton too. Somewhat fitting this should happen on a Bank Holiday weekend though....somewhere The Great Escape will be showing.
