  1. Luiz Felipe Scolari claims he would like to work in England again http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8609980/Luiz-Felipe-Scolari-claims-he-would-like-to-work-in-England-again Even reading that headline makes me somewhat terrified...let's hope he ends up at City!
  2. @Leif! Have seen his posts in almost every thread and always easy to read. Top poster!
  3. Agree with everything, especially this!
  4. Yeah, and more recently, so has Smalling, Cleverly, Shelvey, Downing and Henderson...
  5. One bad game against Southampton and one good game against United...so what does that make his other 18 games? Average? Above average? Below? I don't want players who are average, most of the time, starting for Chelsea.
  6. Sure America could blitz NK, but it doesn't seem right. It's all about one guy. One little shit who somehow turned out to be crazier than his father. Eliminate him and I'd say their stance would change...
  7. It's unreal how much I want us to sign this lad. Should get him a.s.a.p. before his stock rises any higher and loan him back to Southampton. If they won't take him, any club in the second half of the table would jump at the chance to have this lad at their disposal. I forget how tall he is everytime too. He's only going to get stronger.
  8. Agree. Mikel, Ramires and Lampard are all second string DMs in my opinion. Maybe if we played a different formation and had less on loan, we would have a decent second string, but 4-2-3-1 is a load of piss with first team 'DMs' we have right now. Courtois Brana-Cahill-JT-Bertrand Ramires-Mikel-KDB Moses-Torres-Marin That seems ok. CM pairing of Ramires and KDB is beast. I know Courtois needs experience on loan though, but imagine having Cech as back-up in a few years! Need another striker and winger to replace Torres and Marin (which is looking more likely). Maybe a young CB like Jores Okre too instead of JT.
  9. He went to be closer to his wife...then his fist went too close to her face, so maybe he should've gone elsewhere, you're right!!
  10. True, but I'm kind of using an all encompassing view of his form this season and last. Before last season, I couldn't tell you when he made a silly mistake, but between last season and this, I've lost count to be honest; playing offside when he shouldn't (e.g. Juve), the Luiz-like halfway line tackle against Newcastle, the Barca sending off, being humiliated by Suarez last season (even if it was a nothing game) etc. Just lots of signs of a lazy defender, or in JT's case, a defender who knows his body is what it used to be. Look at Carvalho for example, used to be a great ball winning, last-ditch tackle expert, but now he doesn't even defend...he just tries to rip opponent's shirts off. I fear JT, because of injuries taking their toll, is going down a similar road.
  11. Agreed mate. I also agree about the 3-man-midfield. This is what I was trying to say when I suggested a 4-3-3 or a 4-3-2-1, much more time and space for the more, let's say, laboured CDM. I think Romeu would fit that category too. But this 4-2-3-1 is heavily reliant on quick movement, passing and quick everything really, which I don't feel Mikel is suited to whatsoever. He had an amazing game against United, but they let us have the ball and, with Ramires as more of a CM, Mikel was the only CDM in that match really - making it more akin to a 3 man midfield.
  12. If JT continues his current 'form' into next season, I'd say he'll definitely get the 'Lampard treatment'. Sad, but true I feel.
  13. Not bashing at all mate, just taking the piss out of some who got completely carried away with ONE really good performance, that's all. We also just differ on what we believe a CDM should do. You believe he should keep it nice and simple and protect the back four, I believe, at this level, he should be able to do that and more, i.e. have pace/quick decision making/good passing range. Mikel couldn't even do the simple stuff today against a team fighting relegation.
  14. One word I used to describe Brana in the past was 'solid'. But now? Not a chance. Don't know what the hell is wrong with him to be honest. I would say, he might be hanging around Luiz too much, but, if anything, Luiz is too rash, and today I saw no determination from Brana whatsoever. As BluesMaster said, it was an atrocious goal to give away, Brana was just static. Luiz > Brana, for me right now, BY FAR.
  15. I expect we won't see the Mikel lovers until his next 'amazing performace' sometime next year....
  16. When I first came onto these forums, I went into this thread expecting, mostly, to see appreciation of Mata and how much heavily reliant we are on him for creativity, but, honestly, I nearly shit myself when I saw a considerable amount of ‘debate’ about his contribution to the team. Call him ‘weak’ or that he doesn’t defend well or that (this is my favourite) he ‘shoots too much’, fact is, we look limp without him. It’s unbelievable how much we need this little guy. The stuff he does up front outdoes anything he does/doesn’t when defending or whatever else people complain about. Show me a Chelsea without Mata and I’ll show you a Chelsea nowhere near the top 4.
  17. After this shit, the F.A. Cup may as well be the Emirates Cup as far as I’m concerned. Obviously, this was the more important game, every league game from now is like a final, but it honestly seems like our piece of shit of a manager is deciding to put himself in front of the club. With much more difficult games down the road, including Tottenham and United, the importance of this game was glaring to anyone. I said it a while ago; all he cares about is trophies on his C.V. It rings in my head the unusual amount of times that man has said the word ‘tropies’, as he calls them, it’s all he wants. If he wins one, he’ll say to his next employer, “Look! Shiny!” and then blame RDM on the league, saying “oh, the damage was already done there.”. The greedy bastard is actually doing his best to destroy next season as well, and there’s nothing we can do, just watch the horror show. Unbelievable anger right now.
  18. TORRES, OH MY FUCKING GOD, CLOSE THE DEFENDER DOWN!!! DON'T FUCKING STAND THERE, STARE AT HIM AND LET HIM CLEAR IT!!
  19. Arsenal and Tottenham are winning...AND HE WANTS TO BRING YOSSI BENAYOUN ON?!?? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? IS HE HONESTLY TRYING TO SABOTAGE US FOR NEXT SEASON??? FUCK OFF BENITEZ!! YOU FAT SPANISH BASTARD!!
  20. Where are all the Mikel lovers who were absolutely creaming themselves after the United game? The ones who didn't respond to me when I said he needs to be consistent? C'mon now, don't be shy, you were so eager before!
  21. Seen the line-up.... JESUS TITTY-FUCKING CHRIST, START BA AT LEAST YOU FAT SPANISH BASTARD!! THE LEAGUE IS THE PRIORITY!! NO ONE CARES IF YOU REALLY WANT A TROPHY TO SHOW YOUR NEXT EMPLOYER!!
  22. Luke Shaw would be beast to have as back up. Especially with Ash showing him the ropes for a few years. Check out his recent twitter Q&A, big hints on where he'd like to go after Southampton: http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/03/25/chelsea-target-luke-shaw-makes-it-abundantly-clear-he-wants-blues-move-during-twitter-qa/ As for Bertrand, well, I've never seen it to be honest. Ok defensively, but bad going forward to say the least, and not quick enough. Even for his age, Shaw looks on Bertrand's level at the moment, if not better. I'd say we could get a bit for Bertrand to fund a Shaw move in the summer, especially if Southampton go down...
  23. If I didn't know any better, it kind of looks like Romper has been hacked by Henrique...
  24. Stop being so god damn temperamental. You're Belgian, you love KDB, I get it. Good for you. If you cared to look at the rest of my post you'll see I said I love him and I hoped it was a mistranslation, which is seems like it was. So take a chill pill.
