My mummy also used to say I was the most handsome boy in the country! I'm sure Kaka was just amusing Ramires as well, since it's clear his brain is not too far off that of a 5 year old.

If only we had Faria on the pitch we might've shown more balls.

Absolute wank in the final third. Hasn't been good for quite a while now. I don't know where the Oscar we saw make a fucking show of Juventus went, but I want him back.
-
Probably the most important game of the season to date and he does that. Fucking idiot. I would sell him on the back of that alone. We don't need idiots doing stupid shit like that at pivotal moments. Yeah, yeah Barca chip etc. etc. I can only count 1 Barca chip, but I can count over 100 examples of brainfarts, shit passing and shit decision making. We need another player on Matic's level not a headless chicken (even though Matic was pretty shit today as well).

I said in the next 4 games we'd truly find out what this team is made of and I'm afraid the answer is 'not fucking much'. I think everyone bar Willian and Cahill should hang their heads in shame after that match. 1-0 up at home to the team at the bottom of the league and you lose 2-1, there's no fucking excuse for that. Fucking woeful performance.

Who the dredged up this dead horse? Absolutely pointless to start this topic again. Especially on a player who is considered a snivelling, cheating cunt by many.

I can picture José working on tactics for Sunderland right this moment and until all hours of the morning!

No more games in hand or 'the table is false' bullshit. It's time to put up or shut up. It's all down to us. We'll really see what this team is made of in the next 4 games (6 with CL). C'mon Chelsea!

I can see it happening alright, I'm just hoping against it! Hopefully we'll have someone up top who's good in the air for a change so we don't have to rely on a CB masked as a RB to win us balls!

The way things are going with Ash, he may not be here next season. As for Brana, he has been found out in games that require him to push forward and provide support; he gets caught up the pitch and can't get back in these type of games. Even still, his offensive contribution at times is next to nought or in minus territory with silly shots and ridiculous attempted crosses. However, the big thing is he's now 30; his frailties going forward and getting back (especially) are only going to worsen due to the high physical demands on the modern full-back. I seriously doubt we're going to see a JT rebirth or renaissance for Ivanovic since he's naturally a CB. I see Azpi as our RB mainstay. And if José is serious about building a Chelsea for the long haul, for the future, then Shaw is one of our first stops tbfh.
-
I will eat my shoe if he goes there. No way would José allow it in my eyes. If he poached Willian from Tottenham, there's not a hope in hell he's letting our ready-made replacement for Ash go to United.

Can you imagine if Torres scored the winner in front of the Kop...oh my sweet lord, I would forgive him for everything! There'd be riots!

I thought Schurrle was the most intelligent runner we had, but wow, Salah really does know how to get in behind. Not just a pair of legs by any stretch of the imagination. I don't really understand the complainers; maybe they have to look a little closer next time. I thought he had a good game other than his finishing. Can't wait to see him develop further.

Saw this. Cannot fucking wait for Mourinho's response! Maybe it'll be muted...or maybe he'll point to the fact we've outplayed them and their 'style' twice in the league, especially at the Ethiad. Or perhaps he'll compare records and say that the only thing disappointing is not winning trophies. Or get personal and compare their time at Madrid. Personally, I hope Mourinho just laughs hysterically!
-
They won't even let a player of Cavani's quality play alongside Ibrahimovic, so a player like Ba can forget about it. Maybe he just mentioned them because he's a fan and they could easily pay his fairly sizable contract, because I don't think a club at Ba's level (Newcastle or Wolfsburg etc.) will pay £7m+ and 75k+ a week.
-
A "white Drogba" were my exact words after facing him in 2012! The logical thing would've been to snap him up then in the summer as Didier's replacement, but we decided to overinvest in Torres.
-
Well shit. I was really hoping we got Barca purely for the joy of knocking them out. I was fully confident that we could do it, we dominant them psychologically if nothing else. Atletico deserved it though. I think I'd rather face Pep and his tiki-taka bullshit. We know how to play against it and just look how far United came over two legs and they are nowhere near as good as us defensively or on the counter.
-
Something I noticed last night: I don't know about you guys, but when I look at Eto'o I immediately think 'Champions League winner' and it makes me strangely confident. For example, how relieved was everyone when they heard he was starting? I know he's not banging them in (has still scored some important goals for us) but I get the feeling of 'been there, won that' from him and I think that is massive for the young players. If I feel confident when I see him on a European night, I can only imagine the confidence he gives the young guys. I'm really glad we have him for this season at least.

Right, just saw this. Apologies. Stopping now.

I don't want to derail this, but I think it's very clear what JT said to Anton. What was his defence? "Oh, I only said 'Anton do you think I called you a b**** c***?'" Please. I support JT the footballer but not the person. Yes, he's done great things for the club, but he's also acted like a fucking idiot off the pitch and believe it or not that negative stuff affects the club. The only reason he's been quiet as of late is because his powers are on the wane and Mourinho is in charge - he's become dispensable. However, when he was a better player he acted arrogantly and thought he was untouchable; he apparently got Mourinho sacked according to many stories and no one can really deny that, at the very least, he had a good long think about joining City before signing a new fat contract...
-
Torres, when has any of your attempted dribbles at 4+ defenders ever worked in your time at Chelsea? Never. For fuck sake, pass it.
-
I've never seen someone the size of Ba fall over so much or be so shit in the air.
-
A bit lax from Brana there...good save by Cech.

TalkChelsea Player of the Year 2013/14
The Mak replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Overrated? Our most consistent player all year is overrated? Azpilicueta, a RB, dislodged a one of the best LBs to ever play the game. He wasn't an automatic starter. However, form or not, Hazard was always picked. Remember earlier in the season when a lot of people were calling for him to be benched? I do... So I can't possibly see how Azpi can be seen as overrated in any way. -
Torres, Torres, Torres and Torres.
