The two time running player of the season, at any club, should be an automatic selection unless there's somebody significantly better or injury or something like that. Binning him for Oscar was it? What was the point? As far as I'm aware he's been worse than what Mata was. Perhaps it's less apparent at Chelsea than at other clubs because there's a galaxy of other 'stars' to choose from, but a few years ago a 'luxury' player like Mata would have been accommodated for, even at Chelsea.
I can't get around how lol the drive towards bits and pieces allrounders in football is. An attacking midfielder attacks. That's the whole point. You play somebody behind him who's got a high workrate and some defensive ability so that the AM can do what he's supposed to do. Why would anybody want a number 10 to waste his time learning to position himself defensively and improve his tackling; or waste his energy running up and down the pitch? Create chances, score some goals. That's all there is to it.
You can add onto that the obsession with having 'ball playing' central defenders. Why on earth would a manager expect his centre back to carry the ball out of defence, ripp past half a dozen pressing opponents and then play a pinpoint long pass for the striker? Or more pertinently, how can somebody expect a centre back to be so talented in attacking skill and still be a solid defender?

I'm only single because I can't get involved in a relationship for a number of reasons right at the minute. This wasn't the case a couple of years ago but I'm really not in the right mental state. This is a very, very unstable period in my life - I'm changing every day and still trying to find out who I am. I also have no job and no money - just going out with friends is a scrap for me. A girl on top of that? I'd be broker than Leeds United. I've got a load of worries at the moment, earth shaking shit like planning for my future and trying to set some shit up, things that will take up 100% of my attention. The last thing I need is a girl to compound those because somebody was talking to somebody on Tinder or some other small time bullshit. Recently I was intimately involved in another relationship because I was very, very close friends with both the boy and the girl - it ended utterly acrimoniously, and because I was so closely linked, I had to pick up the pieces, which has completely put me off for a while. Do you know how fucking difficult it is to spend half the time playing the divorced child and the other half a marriage counselor? I don't want that shit right now. The single life is one that suits me.
There was a girl a few months back where money wouldn't have been a problem (and this was before I became amongst other things a functioning marijuana addict, a manic depressive, and had all these personal issues to sort out), but that was never going to work because I wasn't in the country throughout the summer and some other guy got in before me. And in retrospect I was a lot stupider and more immature last year - now with the benefit of hindsight I realised it would have been a horrendous relationship. We come from entirely different worlds. Her and her friends are the most boring people I've ever met. And I would have felt like I had to put a power limiter on my brain whenever I was spending time with her. I need somebody who's got roughly equal intelligence to me, not some booksmart nerd who'd whip anybody's arse on a test but when it came to actually thinking proved to be as dull as a statue.

I don't know, I haven't seen her again since first year uni. I didn't murder her but somebody in her arch-conservative Somali family probably honour killed her and her 7 ft boyfriend by now or some such. Dodged a bullet there

Some of these probably end up landing within Gaza - how can homemade shit from a territory with no mineral wealth, trade access or industrial potential to manufacture quality armaments be expected to pose a threat to a nation that is the region's most advanced industrial war machine? Israel possesses a fantastically strong military capacity and has the backing of even more powerful allies. There's no chance Palestine, of all places, genuinely poses a threat to Israel's sovereignty. Sure you get the odd suicide bomber infiltrating Jerusalem and causing some harm but just look at how much Pakistan irritated India in the aftermath of the Taj Hotel attacks and look at the civilized way in which India responded to that. Regional superpowers have no need to fear neighbouring basket case countries. Would the US go balls deep if some Cuban guy shot up Miami? No, they'd just ratchet up the sanctions on Cuba, like a boa constrictor strangling its prey; rather than a wolf savaging away at the carcass of a mouse. Exercising soft power rather than hard power is all it takes to bring those that threaten to upset the status quo and you save a whole bunch of civilian casualties into the bargain.

I had a quarter of a pint of beer Saturday at a nightclub and it made me throw up twice. I also have had a hangover all day today.
Last time I was a regular here I'd finish a dozen in a night with no issues and I maintained that until December last year, so in 8 months of sobriety, my alcohol tolerance has fallen by, what, 48000%? Maths was never my strong suit.
While I'm delighted that my body refuses to accept alcohol, I reckon that was misleading because of what I had eaten for dinner. If I had ordered a low-carb beer or some kind of spirit then I suspect I would have been fine.

It's misogynistic if you consider treating women as sex objects as misogyny, and frankly, evaluating somebody with such stringent criteria entirely based on physical features is objectification.
Assigning numerical values to rate the attractiveness of somebody is ridiculous. This is a human being not a car, there are far more complex factors that decide attractiveness than a series of hip to waist ratios or whatever. You can't rate somebody's attractiveness objectively until you meet them in person and/or get to know them well.
