I could see by the lineup, it was mix and match. Good to see Caicedo, Cucurella get a breather for once and Josh got a start. Would have been great to see more minutes for Santos, at least he got a 25 minute cameo.

I thought Almada was on loan at Lyon from his Brazilian club with a view to permanent deal (iirc) He's got the tools to be a very nice attacking mid.

They got their Jorginho/Partey replacement.

He has some power, he gave KDH a free premier league opportunity.

We finally find a midfielder capable of scoring goals and potentially being the full package and first thoughts are "sell for profit" Can't wait to see Lavia play 5 games next season then go missing again and we're left with Caicedo-Enzo on their last legs with patched up Reece filling in.

Would make sense why he hasn't featured in the CWC yet and the fact that Maresca chose Reece to play midfield, even though he was fit and sitting on the bench... If he doesn't play minutes in the next game, those transfer rumors will continue to grow

You forgot Kepa from the list, he's also being sold, even though he's a better keeper than Sanchez could ever hope to be. 😆

But there will be posters on this forum who absolutely love Sanchez and can't understand why he gets criticized by the media and pundits. We really went from Cech and Courtois to Brighton's 3rd choice keeper 😆

This is what happens when you stockpile talent without a plan.... Better to focus on quality than trying to sign 10 random south american youngsters and hope that one of them pans out for a nice profit. 😆

That means another season of watching Sanchez make errors in goal and fail to pass the ball out of the back but everything will be fine as we will have 60% possession of the ball in midfield and hope that Palmer pulls out magical tricks.

Sanchez will always be a topic of discussion because he wouldn't start for any other top side, across the major european leagues.

The fact that we haven't signed a quality CB would be an equally shocking decision.

Even with those players, it won't change. Do we really need to trial Reece in midfield when Essugo and Santos are available to play ?

I wouldn't be surprised if Sanchez is our keeper on opening day of the season. Get the feeling that we won't get Maignan unless one of the existing keepers is sold/moved on.

Big fan of Kudus but I don't see us paying what West Ham want for him. Probably going to end up at Spurs with Son getting interest from Saudi.

Think its more to do with those players not really living up to the hype throughout their time at Chelsea, rather than the UCL win. Pulisic had his moments of pure class at Chelsea. You can probably add Nkunku to that list now, came with so much hype and seems to have regressed quite a bit this season.

Its a shame that half the names on that list are out of reach for us. Realistically, best case scenario we somehow convince Villa to sell Rogers......or its back the youth and go for Gittens/Fofana.
