  1. Anyone wondering why we are so focused on attacking players should see these charts below: So basically we are much better at creating more chances than everyone in the league bar Mancity, but we cant finish. So this eventually puts pressure on the defenders everytime the match is on the balance, leading us to concede from cheap counterattacks when we should have finished the game much earlier. Also the goalkeeper is a big problem like most of us know by now, lets in most of his shots faced compared to the rest of the Leagues goalkeepers.
  2. Stats comparison between Chilwell, Robertson, Tagliafico, Regulion and Mendy. The top performing Left Backs.
  3. Comparison between Havertz, Sancho, DeBruyne, Muller and Messi. The top players playing in the creative role this season.
  4. I don't know if he's an attacking coach or defensive but this could be significant
  5. Havertz has also started as a striker for Leverkusen a couple of times and he is 6'2 in height. Can't he play side by side with Werner up top? Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  6. I trust Havertz will come good based on his sheer ability alone. I am just wary of the English media who can be very hard on expensive players. Just look at Pogba, he is slagged off everyday by pundits . Luckily it's a ManUtd problem
  7. Pogba is still under pressure to justify his huge signing, and to be honest he hasn't delivered. Hopefully he can take the pressure, because pressure will definitely come even if the fee is common these days.
  8. Because I've seen what that fee did to Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann, Jao Felix and others like Kepa who is the record goalkeeper. I'm just hoping that he doesn't fall under pressure
  9. Loool.... Bakayoko can only wish for the sheer talent and technique of Havertz. Havertz will definitely succeed, his movement off the ball and decision making on the ball is world class and those are what separates a good player from a great player.
  10. Havertz is no where near Hazard's level when he was with us, both in footballing ability or marketability. We too are a much wealthier club that didn't need to sell to buy players. So I expect people to bleed when they come to buy Chelsea's best player while Ajax, Liepzeg and Leverkusen best players should go for less. And currently we are fortunate that the pandemic has prevented a bidding war, which has given us an advantage. Wouldn't it be smart to press our advantage (because of the pandemic) rather than act like all is back to normal. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking too business like but saving 10-15 mil could be the difference between keeping Kepa for another season and buying a fresh goalkeeper.
  11. Leverkusen are well within their rights to ask for whatever, but if they don't sell now, he'll have only one year left on his contract next summer and risk going to Bayern for free. And Leverkusen didn't make Champs league so thats another 40-50 million they could have had in their books lost. They're the ones at a disadvantage and I really don't want us to just pay 100mil for him like that. There's also a level of pressure that comes with that price tag that I don't want him to have to face. The English media will eat up any mental weakness and harp about the price tag forever. But if we are off an agreement by 5 million and the total price comes to 85mil we should just get it done, as it is worth it to make sure players like Barkley don't have a chance to start a game for Chelsea.
  12. This is exactly what we should be pushing for, this is still COVID19 period and fans can't come to stadiums so the likelihood of clubs generating as much revenue as previous seasons is not possible. If we sign him for 100mil like a lot of people want, I fear that the pressure might get to him like (Greizmann, Coutinho, Dembele, Jao Felix) and all these 100mil+ flops everywhere. He's still young and the last thing we need is the heavy price tag weighing on his head. Like I've always said, the only central midfielder worth 100mil is De Bruyne and our negotiating team should not do business like a fan but be shrewd. Leverkusen did not make champions league so they need the money anyway.
  13. RLC is a different case, as I think he can get away with a casual attitude as a midfielder. After all we saw Ozil in his prime dazzle for Madrid. But for Fullbacks, when I see good fullbacks I only imagine energetic, end to end, runners with effort put in every match. To be playing a laid back style as a fullback can never sit well with me. If James doesn't change, he'll be easily replaced.
  14. Thats true. Didn't think of that. Glad thats not happening now, Leipzeg are 3-0 down
  15. The bolded part is the most frustrating part about him. He takes things too easy when he should be energetic and showing more urgency to his game. Even to take a throwing takes him 5 minutes, he's never quick in decision making and I don't know any fullback who has ever made it to the top with that kind of laid back attitude.
  16. I'd love this guy here. I'm absolutely convinced that he'll be a top player for us if he comes here.
  17. At least two German teams in the semifinals proves hes playing in a much tougher league than people think
  18. Vardy too is like Werner but he is the premier league's top scorer. If Werner provided that performance he has done well
  19. Exactly. The tactics put up by the coach can protect the defense, Pressing traps/high pressing, Tactical fouls. Chelsea have to do far better at this if we want to sustain attacking football, it cant work without pressing and Tactical fouls. The Bayern destruction of Barcelona proved that Attack mostly wins over defense. Once we get finishers and good decision makers upfront, then we can focus on proper wingbacks like Alphonso Davies to provide Speed on the flanks in attack. Not the slow combo of Alonso and Azpi we currently have. Once your attack is dangerous, no one will attack your defense carelessly out of fear of being hit at the back.
  20. When I kept on saying Muller is so good, people just don't understand. Its not about skills without end product, its about the constant football intelligence he displays. One of my favorite players in football
  21. He'll surprise many. Top class player
