Gallagher would need more experience imo. Ampadu seems the best option. People will target counterattacks against us so I wouldn't want a soft Gallagher or Gilmour there to be honest. I want someone that will allow Ziyech and Havertz not worry too much about defensive duties

I wonder what we are doing about the defensive midfielder position. If Kante gets injured again, we're depending on Jorginho to protect Werner, Ziyech, Havertz, Pulisic upfront. We are begging to be hit on the counter guys. Unless Lampard has a plan for Mount, because he's a good tackler but getting a Defensive midfielder (our Casemiro) making the tackles even temporarily would not hurt.

Just like Bayern who we should be emulating. The high pressing, the wing play, the overlapping fullbacks, and quick transitions. Hoping Lamps models his style of play that way.

Oh thats a nice thought. Maybe thats why we haven't been interested in a Defensive Midfielder since Westham priced us out of Rice. I was worried with all these attacking players we have, we risk hoping Kante stays fit throughout the season considering his injury situation. Especially as Lamps tried out a lone Defensive Midfielder(Kante) with two attacking 8's (CM's) towards the end of last season.

We need him to master the art of making runs in behind the defense. His style of waiting for the ball to come to feet, makes him predictable and is limiting him badly.

Sadly I doubt we'll ever get a fully fit Pulisic. He's always been injury prone, since his Dortmund days. Thankfully we have Havertz and co to provide those goals and assists if he's not available.

I hope he is far better than Felix talent wise because I'm not impressed by what I see from Felix at Athletico Madrid
