Not good. I genuinely think Pulisic raises our game to another level. I hope we still put a decent performance in his absence

It's clear the midfield is the problem. Look at how different we looked immediately he made Kante the lone Defensive Midfielder, Mount in his best position as a central midfielder, Kai as an attacking eight. Rice would have been playing the lone DM if he was signed. All the players who we said were not playing well started playing better immediately we switched to 4-3-3. Happy to see

I actually prefer Mount in the 433 over Kovacic. Because occasionally the two central midfielders need to attack and Kovacic is scared of attacking the box, even Kante is better. Mount is much better in his best position than Kova for me.

He's better than Jorginho. Jorginho is actually an average passer, any pass longer than 5 metres and he messes up

We should have gone after thiago. Poor decision from us in hindsight

Lets hope it works out. Maybe with Ziyech playing a couple of games, with everyone knowing his quality and direct style of play, forming chemistry in the team would be easier.

Yeah, its obvious to see. Lamps gives the team a free role in attack but he needs to play the 4 upfront consistently as soon as possible so that they get some team chemistry. Unless everyone will look confused more often than not

No matter how many times Werner or Pulisic made runs, the midfield never attempted to pass the ball in behind to them. Fabregas would get 20 EPL assists with Werner and Pulisic easily.

Our progression of the ball only coming from the fullbacks is making our attack predictable. We have to find a way to make the midfield contribute to forward movement

Lampard also has to find a solution for the midfield. It was a disaster from Jorginho and Kante against Manutd.

Exactly. I'm happy he's showing more concern to the defense. I was thinking it was very naive of him to think we can score 3 goals every game. But he just needs to add a little more balance in attack against easier teams now.

We need to win this. Thiago Silva should be rested. Can't risk an injury to him by over-playing him. Ziyech should start to get into full fitness. Havertz and Werner should be rested. They've played every game. Kovacic should start. Hopefully a nice 3-0 win

Our midfield is really a problem. Kante cant complete a forward pass and Jorginho controls the tempo with passes back to the defence. No matter how many runs Werner and Pulisic makes no one in our midfield plays a ball over the top to them. No one in the midfield finds Havertz in between the lines, only thiago Silva did this from defence. Our midfield is limited and overrated.

He was fantastic yesterday. Very impressed with his performance.

I kind of realize that Havertz may be a team player and not individualistic. Pulisic last season could play Lampards individualistic role easily because he could hold onto the ball and dribble easily. Havertz on the other hand needs the style of play to be right, he needs forward runners, he needs one twos and triangle setups on the pitch which Lampard doesn't coach the team on right now. I would love to see him play with Gilmour and Kovacic at the base of our midfield. Both can dribble under pressure and Gilmour loves to give forward passes to runners. That will allow Havertz to make more runs off the ball like he did in Germany since Kante cant seem to complete a forward pass and Jorginho controls tempo by passing backwards to defenders, leaving our full backs as the only way Chelsea advance the ball forward from the back.

We lose the match without him in goal. Great performance

His passing has gone off a cliff. Even basic passes go behind the player now. Pretty annoying

Thank goodness he was deemed fit to play. What a performance, he's the leader we needed at the back.

I don't know if Lampards tactics is hindering him or hes just poor. Ive not been too impressed except against that championship side we won. Let's hope he adapts to the league and improves
