Why must we criticise players. Oscar did not look fit enough for me but almost had 2 goals mata had a better understanding with the players because he played No. 10 last season hence better possession. Let's not forget mourinho doesn't exactly play possession football so i still think oscar is being prepared as the no. 10 when we want to be direct which suits mourinho's style and mata the no. 10 when we want a more possession based game. Its good to have such great players capable of playing no. 10 I like both very much.

Am still yet to be convinced by most posters, mikel retains possession far better than ramires and is more comfortable on the ball than even lampard, infact that's his greatest strength so when you say we do not boss midfield because of a Defensive midfielder it sounds odd when we have arguably 4 other midfielders ahead of him especially when he is not even a DLP and has a great burden trying to defend, that's like saying gareth barry is responsible for city's dominating football or scot parker for tottenham for me possession is the responsibility of the team and some teams are better than others because its basically their style of play e.g barca, bayern, juve but certainly has not been our style of play in this Roman era. And for all points made i will take posters that criticise chelsea players who ever they may be at face value except the manager who trains this players says so or does something to suggest such.

Aha...So if chelsea plays poorly its because of mikel and if they play well its not because of mikel despite him playing....just getting to discover that some fans here are not Cfc fans but fans of some specific whow players.

You forgot to add its difficult to compete for position with any player in the brazil national team first 11. Just a bit of history. He came to Cfc and said in 1month he will be a regular even without preseason at age 20/21 well so it was. I also remember rating ganso far more than oscar until I observed oscar is the type of player that developed progressively through hardwork just like the likes of CR7. To add to his quality i think he is one of the most mobile No.10 in world football right now. He's movement is incredible and balances a team I just think most people don't observe that.

Mikel isn't stopping chelsea from signing any DM in the world. If you must hate then hate the coaches or the board or who ever the hell buys and sells players because we have the money to sign almost any player we want and if they did not sign a DM its their fault because poor mikel knows nothing about that. This taunting makes no sense

Whow.....so much luv to a player must be personal or may be some just know more than the best coaches in the world.

Mikel is that type of player mou respects when he says he likes the sort of player that plays to his limit. Mikel has placed his team before and above his initial career as a No. 10 by playing DM for chelsea to the best of his ability. For me that shows how great a player he is and his trophies with chelsea speaks for itself. Mikel is also obviously one of the more technically gifted players in our team in terms of possession and holding the ball. If what mikel does is so easy why don't we play lampard or ramires out of position as DM and see how it goes. If i where him having won all with chelsea I'd move elsewhere to play No. 10 or CAM as am sure he will shine as he does for nigeria But as a chelsea fan I hope we do not make the same mistake madrid did with makelele.
