  1. I'm stunned! A player who always gave his best for the club and now he'll become the most expensive defender in the world! I'm going to miss his great personality. All the best, David!
  2. I wonder why people always think of Ash when it comes to moneygrabbing players, who in reality was underpaid at Arsenal. It's funny when you have someone willing to come up with ridiculous and laughable reasons to make himself look disrespected by his club and is threatening to leave over a birthday cake... And then there is also Rooney who is "angry and confused" every summer.
  3. Well done, Yaya. Embarrassing yourself and the club that made you the star you are today with the most ridiculous bs ever. Bravo
  4. According to the reports Cech has no problem with some competition for the first choice GK in the squad. Courtois is the one demanding to be given that spot...
  5. I bet you can't find a keeper who has been completely faultless through the entire season. On the top of my head I can think of two poor matches for Petr - the home draw against WBA and the first leg quarterfinal loss against PSG. I admit I haven't watched many of Atletico's matches in La Liga, but Courtois made a horrible mistake in the match against Malaga which denied the team the opportunity to triumph with the league title in the penultimate round and their championship ambitions were left hanging in the balance.
  6. You should probably wait a little bit before asking for those two I doubt you'd like to see Lukaku score a lot for a different team if we sell him or having Courtois playing against us in the CL and advancing at our expense again.
  7. You can't say it's just the sentiment. Cech is the best GK in the Premier League, quite possible the best in the world and still better than Courtois. I think the people at the club realize that, but they also realize Courtois is probably too good to let go and that could explain the countless loan deals. It's like they're waiting to see if Petr is going to show a sign of weakness that could possibly make a case of him being replaced. However, three seasons since Thibaut was brought in and three loan deals later, that hasn't happened, so I suspect another one might be on the cards. Atletico certainly won't be against that idea.
  8. Even at 36 I am convinced he still can do a good job, but I'd like to keep his fairytale ending of his last kick in a Chelsea shirt being the one that brought us our first CL trophy. So if he's finally ready to finish his great career as a player I'd gladly have him in the coaching staff
  9. Yeah, sure. But you can't expect to immediately start in front of a legendary keeper, who bailed us out numerous times in the last 10 years and who also just had a fantastic season. You wait for opportunity to prove yourself.
  10. Nice try, although Andre doesn't seem very impressed
  11. Courtois can't expect to come here and start the season as the number 1 option in front of goal ahead of Cech if both are in the team at that time.
  12. It's Arsenal. What do you expect? They'd have a victory parade even if it was just the Carling Cup.
  13. Well done, Atletico and more importantly well done, Diego Simeone. Look at the silverware he brought in his two and half year spell there: 2012 Europa League 2012 UEFA Super Cup 2013 Copa del rey 2014 La liga title and potentially 2014 UEFA Champions League But even if they don't win it will still remain a remarkable season for the club.
  14. LOL! Does a single FA Cup in 8 years change the worldwide views of Arsenal being losers who never win anything? HELL NO! Moving on.
  15. Funny guy His English is great, just an year and something ago he could hardly put a couple of sentences together. Also, I didn't know him and Demba are so close.
  16. Our best player won our player of the year award. Shocking, right?
  17. Great news. After his performances this season, an increase on his wages would be fully deserved.
  18. I believe Frank has another season in him and I can see him getting another one-year contract. How cool would it be Super Frank and JT retiring together with us winning the league and the CL as a parting gift A bit unlikely though as JT is at least a couple of seasons from the end of his career.
  19. It kinda makes me wonder why we went for a young talented goalkeeper as soon as the summer in 2011. Petr was just 29, one of the best (if not the best) keepers in the world and obviously here to stay for many more years. Still can't see Courtois staying with us next season, because if we keep him he'll start off as a sub for Petr, waiting for opportunity, which is not exactly the way a champions' league finalist (potential winner) and possibly La Liga winner should be used. So I can see two options: 1. another year loan at Atletico, this time with an ironclad contract which forbids him to play against us under any circumstances and if UEFA try to interfere, sue their asses; 2. cash in
  20. I wouldn't dare to get excited until I see him posing with the Chelsea shirt.
  21. It's funny, because his poor performances post January have completely overshadowed his great start of the season when even Jose said he is the player that impressed him the most early into the season. Bottom line he was just as inconsistent as last season and I really hate the thought of him turning his focus entirely to the WC. If that's the case I'd ditch him for Reus (or someone else who is available) in a heartbeat. He is far from irreplaceable.
  22. Maybe he didn't, but during that time I'm certain he was thinking about the best of the club and he didn't take the first bus (or a helicopter) to Manchester.
  23. Yeah, maybe not entirely innocent, if you're reffering to the AVB spell here. Then again he was by far the worst Chelsea manager in the Roman era, who was sacked twice in two years and in both the teams he was in charge of he fell out with a top star - Lamps and Adebayor.
