Official Stadium Plan Announcement Soon?
Fulham Broadway replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Dont know if I fall into the ' wiser and mature category' Well its a simple equation of people standing up take a lot less room, http://www.10menwent2mow.com/images/misc_shed_02.jpg so one way the capacity of grounds could be increased is to obviously introduce standing areas. As I've said before what kind of government deems it legal for people to stand on trains travelling at 120 mph, but illegal to stand at football matches ? -
It seems we're mere inches from getting him today, but according to Wikipedia (not a source well known for breaking news) he has already signed.Santo's Wiki entry reads like this: "Franco Matías di Santo (born April 7, 1989 in Mendoza, Mendoza Province) is an Argentine professional football player who plays as a striker for Chelsea."

Anelka Has A Word With Drogba
Fulham Broadway replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yeah, cant blame the bloke for wanting to better himself or whatever, now, as theres little loyalty around. Its just cuntish to go public with it, in order to announce a Dutch auction. Thats if he has said half things that are attributed to him, of course. -

It came down to the only viable option being quite a way away. The one that seemed preferable was contaminated land. Interesting to see how it pans out though. -
"He's 29, I think, and if he wants to come back it's going to be very difficult. I did it when I was 20 so I could come back," said Anelka. "He's nearly 30, so if he signs somewhere and he regrets it, it's very difficult to come back." Anelka revealed he has already spoken to Drogba since signing for the Blues, despite the Ivorian being away on African Cup of Nations duty for the next few weeks. And the Frenchman said he hoped to have further in-depth discussions with his future strike partner in a bid to keep him at Stamford Bridge. "I think when he comes back I will speak with him because he doesn't know anything about what happens when you leave England," Anelka continued. "I know because I did it and I know when I was outside of England and the Premier League it was hard. "I would tell him to stay because he will not find what he has at Chelsea and in England anywhere else. He continued: "I spoke with him yesterday and I told him I'm looking forward to playing with him. I don't know what he thinks about his future but I will tell him to stay and we can be good together. "He is a big star in England and a big star in Chelsea and everybody loves him. "It's up to him if he decides to leave, but I will tell him not to." Reuters Newsagency

Official Stadium Plan Announcement Soon?

Problem with Earls Court that the legal stipulatuions are that it has to remain a conference and exhibition centre. There has been speculation linking us with a whole variety of sites in London including Wembley, the Olympic Stadium at Stratford, White City, Battersea Power Station, Earls Court, Chelsea barracks and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This crops up all the time , and the club announced last year that increasing capacity was the only viable option. -
Well its important for the newbies to know the facts. For instance, how we were nicknamed the 'Pensioners' because thats the only players we could afford at one time, and our badge is a Lion because Ted Drake used to send one into the away dressing room 'for a laugh'.

Yup the old clitoral celery manoevre...never fails... but remember to leave out the salt. ...anyway, onto the 50s and 60s, and after our League win, and subsequent Tram Parade, we had moderate success in the 60s with a Terry Docherty at the helm who signed a young Dave Osgood. Our 70s FA cup Win was followed by the 'Dark Days'. It was just always dark. The ground was to be sold to property developers who planned to turn it into a huge Vegetable Theme Park, when the Saviour Ken Bates bought the club for a pound of turkey drummers.....
-
It was prior to the War Cup that a young Micky Greenaway created the famous puppets Zig and Zag hence the chant Zigger Zagger was born, and the original Stamford Bridge being built on a celery Factory led to the famous Salad Riots of 1934.
-
Lets just say CM was middle aged for our League win. In 1955.
-
Theres definitely a 'community spirit' lacking in a lot of areas. Luckily people round our way tend to look out for each other, and well done to CM. The other thing is , theres always been a moral panic about 'feral youths running wild' and can be exagerrated.
-
There are better options for wingers but if he plays the way he has lately behind the strikers then we should keep him imo.

Wayne Bridge Or Ashley Cole 4 England Left Back Slot
Fulham Broadway replied to oxfordblues's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Would go for Cole, in terms of pace, and general defending. I also noticed how well he links up with Joe Cole when playing for Ingerland. -
I could see Kenyon letting him go for 15 m. But we should hang onto the little imp.
-
Highly likely its exagerrated. Would we sell SWP now ? Been outstanding recently. Ere' Kev , you can have Sidwell, Haim and Pizarro.
-
How dare you.
-
At least it makes the Prem a bit more lively -emotional Kev at his best . Remember when he was asleep in his Range Rover and got battered by a load of blokes with baseball bats ?

Ahh, the old War Cup. Attendances were down due to the global conflict, so Sir Ranulf-Cockburn Bates, father of Ken, decided with Lord Cuntishbury of the FA to stage a 2 leg War Cup with Millwall. Many troops were allowed dispensation from the front line for a 'hoolie ruck'. (are you taking this in Hingis ? its for your benefit). Anyway, the first leg at Old The Den, saw more casualties than Dunkirk, (mainly Old William), and mainly celery wounds. Outside the Den http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1060/904395...ade45c907_o.jpg ..and the second leg was called off because Hitler had opened up a second front in the East.

You're right Frank hate violence, though threw a ball of wool at my cat once. Fight ? Too much taboo with kids going in pubs nowadays. When you think we were going in boozers 13-14 years old, the landlord turning a deaf eye. Now kids have to go in churchyards or waste ground with flagons of booze, and god knows what theyre up to, but it's out of sight. Drugs, shagging and kicking people to death....
-
All this suing each other is thanks to another infection of Yank culture. People afraid to let kids be kids and young men grow up. Its no coincidence the suicide rate of young people has gone up as well, too many expectations. It all went wrong with arrival of all seater stadia and the disappearance of organised hooliganism. Never done me no harm. *violently twitches*

Well its seen as a lot as hes relatively untested. Only 10 appearances for Serbia because they have such quality defenders. If he hadn't been under contract till 2011 -would have been around £5 million. Still, hes definitely one for the future and a four year contract at £50 000 a week is good business.
-
Yeah as Tri Blue says hes great mates with Vidic apparently, and the reason he cost so much was because he was under contract at Locomoiv till 2011.
-
I see the Daily Mail is speculating that Bridge will now leave , and are resurrecting the shite that the arrival of the new bloke means Rafa will get Bridge.
-
Mmm Belletti seems invaluable at the moment. The new bloke could be edged in slowly, doesn't seem the prima donna type that will demand appearances. Hopefully Ben Haim will fuck off now.

Interesting. Tim Vickery that BBC Football bloke who covers South American football rates him highly. What he doesnt know about South American Football isn't worth knowing. He also said his dad was the Brazilian great Zizhino.
