At the moment things seem to be as if Mourinho was still there. You can imagine Mourinho, speaking to each player in turn when he left, urging them to carry on as per usual. That, along with, Clarke, Ten Cats, Lampards and Terrys cohesive team talks has kept the SW6 ship on course. This weekend could be a bit of an iceberg, and close season will any jump ship ? Keeping with the Titanic metaphor, the captain shot himself ..I'll load Grants revolver for him.

No, I wouldn't want Roman to go. The difference between him and Lerner, the Glazer inbreds, Gillet, Hicks, Gaydemark and other ..er Jewish..owners, is that he has so much money he's not in it for a return. He genuinely loves his football, whereas the others just see the clubs as surefire stockbroker winners. The only criticsm I'd have is being susceptible to goldiggers and possible interfering on the pitch. In reality he's entitled to do that, he owns the fucking club. He could go mental and burn it down if he wanted.

Bit of a contradiction there - "the smartest move a manager could do'' but " I dont think he knows what hes doing"No need to apologise, it's not because of the Israeli thing -though their foreign policy is straight out of a Waffen SS handbook- I would say the same if he'd never managed outside Sri Lanka or Uganda and his compatriots had slagged him off.McClaren leaving Beckham out was actually a good move at the time as he was overly underperforming. This must be a generational thing and anyone under a certain age tends to think that because it's Chelsea, it must be a good move. As far as one trophy, if we scrape a Carling but finish mid table I wont be happy. With Ten Cate and the squad we could have a very successful period, and it'll be great..but every time he raises his ugly head, and attempts to take credit, it's a sham.

Well he looks like a fucking alien had a fling with his mother. True, Mourinho didn't play, but he's more the exception. He'd never been out of Israel until he was Portsmouths car park attendant. Even his Israeli counterparts slagged him off, saying he was clueless -except when it came to positioning himself in the way of money, and ingratiating himself to the wealthy and powerful.Theres no way he should take any credit for Chelsea whatsoever. If he's any potential let the cunt manage the reserves , youth team, and see what he can do.

The difference being they were their own men, and had been expert players in the main. They managed the team basically single handed, arrived on merit, without worming their way in and without a highly skilled entourage overseeing their every move. Grant reminds me of Blackadders Queen Elizabeth 1st.They also created a good team from basically nothing and extremely limited resources.Grant is the tramp who's inherited a Rolls Royce with chauffeurs, mechanics, valets, and yet people are saying '' Ooooh !! did you build it yourself and drive it ? Aren't you clever ??''

It's ok to say it doesn't matter who's in charge as long as we're winning, and I suppose if Abramovich wants to waste a few more million it's up to him. What grates is how he will take credit for it, and how the press say how Chelsea have done ''under Grant''. Fucking winds me right up.Ok scenario, we win the Champions League and Premiership with Ten Cates , Clarkeand with Po Faced Grant in the middle. The press give him the credit etc, as do our 'younger' fans.Do you think Arsenal, Man you, Liverpool, or any other major club in the world would have him as manager even then?? Absolutely no way, they're not stupid, they know that he's just an ugly cardboard cut out and has zero quality. Hes there for the cash , nothing else.
-
He's been a bit hit and miss recently, after a top spell towards the end of last term
-
Nah, they were stabbed the Italian way -in the arse.
-
Agree, doesnt really cut it, but if we dont acquire another midfielder for the ACN he'll have to stay.
-
His staff around him, Ten Cates, Clarke etc will earn his millions for him. All he has to do is the wanky press conferences where he bumbles away in faltering English -which is apparently better than he lets on - desperate to hide his lack of football knowledge. 'Well its like this, but it's also like this'. All the time having slight digs at Mourinho.Come on Grant, now you've leeched onto Abramovich, and secured a multi-million pound fortune for you and your urine drinking wife -can't you do us all a favour and fuck off back to Israel ?
-
Good word, figurehead. On the Good Ship Chelsea. Like those ships of old with a carved animal on the front, totally useless and wooden, just used to scare the opposition.Greedy Grant was after the cash, he'll be gone before the four years are up, but he'll get a massive pay off.
-
Was waiting for this,a four year contract at £2,800, 000 a year is around £11,200,000 !!Not bad money for a part time job, which you're not even qualified for.

I dont know why Abramovich doesnt just chuck the FA a couple of million each season and have done with it.SkumsportsChelsea have admitted to a Football Association charge of failing to control their players during the 2-0 win at Derby County. The charge relates to the behaviour of The Blues players towards referee Andre Marriner following the sending off of Michael Essien. The Ghanaian midfielder was dismissed after lashing out at Kenny Miller in stoppage time, and was handed a three-game ban for his actions. A number of players, including England captain John Terry, confronted Marriner in the wake of Essien's sending off. An FA statement read: "Chelsea FC have admitted a charge relating to the behaviour of their players towards referee Andre Marriner during a match against Derby County last month. "The club was charged with failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion following the sending-off of Michael Essien for violent conduct during the match on Saturday 24th November. "Chelsea have requested a personal hearing which will be scheduled in due course."

Saturday 15th December sees a tribute evening taking place at Tones Bar (North Cheam, Surrey) for former Chelsea star Alan Hudson. Bar owner and one of the Chelsea supporters featured in the recently released DVD “Blue Revolution” Tony Millard is hosting the evening. As well as Alan appearing in a question and answer session, there will be other surprise guests. The tribute comes ten-years after Alan was nearly killed in a road traffic accident that should have taken the use of his legs. Now, although he is still somewhat handicapped by the injuries he sustained, Alan is, nevertheless, remarkably still energetic and full of life.He has gone on to write two books, namely “The Working Man’s Ballet” – his autobiography – and “The Tinker And The Talisman”, a look at the buy-out of Chelsea by Roman Abramovich and Claudio Ranieri’s reign under him as manager.Although injury kept him out of the 1970 FA Cup winning side, he was of course, a member of the team that went on to lift the European Cup Winners Cup the following season. However, despite being a prodigious talent, he fell out with the then manager Dave Sexton and joined Stoke City in 1974 for what was, for the Potteries side, a bargain price of £240,000.Although Alan returned to Chelsea in 1983, illness first and then injury prevented him from adding to his Blues appearances and he left the club a year later.A ticket to spend ‘An Evening With Alan Hudson’ costs £10 including a buffet. Further details can be obtained by calling Tones Bar on 0208 641 8224.

Our names on the cup this year. I hope we're not going to have a Drogba drought though. He's nine goals to his name already this season, but Lampard seems just as crucial as an attacking force. Not only does he provide more assists than Drogba from his midfield position, he’s also into double figures after scoring against Sunderland. That said we need a clinical finisher as an addition.

Steven Gerrard became the 6th Liverpool player in 18 months to be the victim of burglary. Gerrard's wife Alex Curran was at home in their Formby mansion when four masked men broke into the house and stole jewellery on Tuesday night. The Liverpool captain was in France playing against Marseille in the Champions League when savvy burglars targeted his house. Merseyside Police have described the incident as a "confrontational burglary". Dirk Kuyt was burgled three weeks ago when on international duty, while Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina, Daniel Agger and Peter Crouch have also been targeted by thieves. Football 365.'They rob their own' -not just hearsay, not just stereotyping them. Unbeleivable. Could have been Carragher.

Absolutely pointless.

Here , here , ridiculous people boosting their post count with pointless posts.

Definitely, and JT and Cech imperious as ever. Ben Haim is a liability at times, almost stitched up Cech on a couple of occasions. January sales job. I'm sure hes Grants lovechild, has that same miserable hangdog expression.Draw for the knockout stages could be interesting, bindippers ?
-
Kalou and Pizarro, the Keystone cops. Sounded like a good atmosphere for a non deciding game though.
-
Had 0-0 stamped on it after 20 minutes, -had we needed to qualify like the bindippers it could have been 3 or 4 easily. Pizzarro although with deft touches, showed why he has a low scoring record in his career. Would be quite happy for him and Ben Haim to permanently go missing in January , as long as replacements are found.ITV saying 'Chelseas impressive record under Grant'. Impressive despite Grant. Chelseas impressive record with a dour faced irrelevance taking dubious credit more like.Talking of the wallpushers, watched some of that and Marseille were simply awful. Must have been paid off by by the multi millionaire Gillet & Hicks.

It was a still off the Sky website, Phil in the studio commentating on the Marseille home leg.
