Its a nice problem to have, and Makalele might not be around much longer. As long as players realise that they'll play on merit and current form, and accept it, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Good point Aroop, SWPs sliding tackles are judged to perfection -but often it's because hes just lost the ball. But with Beletti, SWP and Joe Cole all performing well we can overhaul United or take any leaders to teh wire.

Mikel: I Am Not A Monster
Fulham Broadway replied to Aesthetic Relic's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
He's a bit reckless, but more than likely refs are being racist because hes very, very black and it brings out all their stereotype fears. -
Perhaps he has ''Special'' dispensation being a ginger 'and all

This should be done and dusted soonish - I know it's Tribal but they have to get something right one day ''Lokomotiv Moscow defender Branislav Ivanovic is expected to sign for Chelsea today. Sport Express says Chelsea are confident of securing the Serbia international's work permit today after battling through the courts. Ivanovic hasn't played 75 per cent of Serbia's recent internationals and so doesn't automatically qualify for a UK work permit. However, Chelsea are confident they've successfully argued Ivanovic is an "exceptional talent" and will receive a positive ruling today''

Potential 2007/8 Honours Update
Fulham Broadway replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I know its a bit of 'if me aunty had bollocks she'd be me uncle' but...... if we'd better results earlier on against the Arse and Man United we'd be sitting at the top of the pile this morning. -

Well I would have thought so. Though they can fuck up away from home quite easily. -
Potential 2007/8 Honours Update

Chasing two is definitely more of an ask than one, but it's only four points and considering what a shambles the start of the season was, compounded with the injuries, it's definitely game on. -
ooooh its lovely. I think Kenyon, if he had any marketing bollocks and know how, should change the shirt for every game. There'd be enough mugs to buy them, and surely we could fit another 8-10 sponsors on it ?

Potential 2007/8 Honours Update
Fulham Broadway replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yup it's a Quad season, I can feel it . As far as the other two contenders are concerned in the league, they've both shown they can slip up. Arsenal this week, United against West Ham. Its important we keep up the pressure. -
It definitely makes sense playing SWP in the middle causes all sorts of problems. Before anyone gives Grant credit, Mourinho was already trying this out. His tackling is getting as good as Essiens as well.

Breaking News Anelka Has Signed
Fulham Broadway replied to oxfordblues's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
An inspired signing -though I had him transferred last week on FIFA. Could be instrumental in any honours we now pick up this season. Bit of footballing history too, has over taken Veron as the most expensive transferred player ever. Around £85 million ! Nice bit of work for his agent too -at a conservative estimate of 10%, that means his agent has picked up at least £8.5 million for a few phone calls. -
Didier Drogba started his first game since a knee operation last month and scored in Ivory Coast's 2-0 African Nations Cup warm-up win over Kuwait in Kuwait City on Saturday. Drogba, who came on as a substitute last week for his English club Chelsea in his first match back after a month-long lay-off, got the second goal of the game. It was the African footballer of the year's 30th goal for the Ivorians in 47 international appearances. His Chelsea team-mate Salomon Kalou had opened the scoring six minutes earlier for the team coached by Frenchman Gerard Gili, who replaced German Uli Stielike last Monday. Reuters

OK Just over half way through the season. Theres a realistic chance of either or both of the domestic cups , and a real chance of the CL now this season. Anelka I feel will be an inspired signing. As far as the League is concerned, admittedly Yernited are looking incredibly strong, but they and Arse will drop more points. Not forgetting they have to play each other on 12/4 and both have to come to Fortress Bridge on 22/3 and 26/4 respectively. Given the trials and tribulations of the last two months the players have done superbly well to stay in contention in the league. It even seems to be the case that we are playing in a more attractive style, despite Grant, but we still need the right mix of Jose's never lose mentality with a creative freedom . It makes you think where we'd be without the ACN, and with a real manager. However, I can see a distinct possibilty of at least one parade bus coming out of the garage come May.

Sunderland last night finalised a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell. The former Reading star, 25, has agreed to go to the Stadium of Light for the remainder of the season and will move to Wearside at the end of the month once Chelsea's get their players back from the African Nations Cup Daily Mail

You're right in a way, it doesn't really matter. But theres a void that could be filled with a productive employee of Chelsea Football Club, actually earning his wages, and contributing. Anelka should be done tomorrow .Theres going to be bloodshed if we lose that home record to the yids.

I'm still of the idea that results we're getting are in spite of having Grant, and a big cardboard cut out of Mourinho would have the edge. Petr Cech has admitted he attempted to come back too soon from injury when he played for Chelsea in the epic 4-4 draw against Aston Villa on Boxing Day - just three days after going off with a hip problem against Blackburn. The Czech keeper, who let a shot from Shaun Maloney slip through his hands, said: "We took a little bit of a risk at Villa. At the end of the game the injury was worse and they didn't allow me to play again. Since then I have been sidelined." Cech, who has missed the Blues last four games, returned to full training this week and said: "Hopefully I am on my way back." Daily Mail

The mother of my kids was a psychiatric nurse then a ward sister. She is mental, but I am biased now. No, she is mental. Must be catching from the patients, though she did used to say it was hard to distinguish between the staff and residents sometimes.

From London ads - ''a great team environment, Central London location, 10k basic plus bonuses'' . I look in the jobs pages and feel physically sick. ''Enthusiastic team player required'' Oh do fuck off. Yeah retirement age raised for all public sector workers -but screws, police , and teachers can go early with 'stress' usually. The best retirement plan is a massive fraud, or borrow up to the eyeballs and emigrate with a name change.

You cant beat a good Thursday rant. I heard that nursing agencies are paid in some instances a couple of hundred pounds an hour for agency nurses ! Which presumably hospitals have to pay for, which we indirectly pay for. OK the agency nurses might be earning more, but in the long run they'll be worse off ? No pensions etc ? Its about time we outsourced MPs and the government,- surely someone could do their swanning around and travelling to weekend cottages cheaper ?? As for call centres -Top Tip. Always ask to speak to a manager. If you dont get customer service, mention writing to your MP , and they'll bend over backwards to help

Manchester United fans are really quiet, Liverpool can be noisy. Chelsea atmosphere is getting better. When Russian football becomes expensive, and you can only sit to watch the game, it will become quieter for Russian teams as well. The money men will leech on to it soon as they did here.

For Chelsea ? There are dozens of Official Chelsea Supporters Clubs throughout the World, and hundreds of unofficial ones. The support for Locomotiv is similar to how Chelsea used to be in the 1980s
