As has been said theres been countless threads on this. Same old ground. Theres a vast proportion of Chelsea that'll never support him, and I'm in that camp. You're right he wouldn't turn down the job, he wangled and positioned himself to get it. Hes a useless lump, imo, and Ten Cates and Clarke are doing a sterling job. If Grant dropped dead tomorrow (please!!) , it would not affect Chelsea Football Club one iota. But we would get someone in , anyone, who would be better.

Chelsea are doing well which is paramount, in spite of the Toad

Theres nothing to compare between a top class manager and an opportunist shyster .

I think we'll field a strongish side, and should progress to the next round. Beware of some atrocious refereeing , and cock ups of Pollesque proportions, as Uriah Rennie takes charge. (he's not allowed to do Premiership games anymore as hes rubbish)

Its not thats Grant is crap, we just dont know. He doesn't do anything at all of any significance. He cant be praised and he cant be condemned . He just wanders around like some Scooby Doo janitor, occasionally stopping folding his arms and staring broodily. He gives meaningless drivel to the media now and again with contradictions. You'll see him with a bit more confidence now the press seem to have warmed to him a bit, but he'll cleverly stay out of any decision making. Not bad for £4.5 million a year.

It makes me laugh, some of the terminology -''Grants Chelsea'' , ''Chelsea Under Grant'' From the Times; ''Staff at the club’s Cobham training ground and dressing-roomconfirm that it is easier to state with conviction what Grant does not contribute, rather than what he does. Even some of the players are unsure. The Israeli has little involvement in training, with Steve Clarke, the assistant first-team coach, planning and taking almost all the sessions single-handedly until Henk ten Cate was appointed to work alongside him in October, and often lets his underlings administer prematch and half-time team talks, with Clarke issuing the rallying cry that helped Chelsea to come from behind to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage on New Year’s Day. '' It's obvious from his press conferences, and Post match interviews that he is clueless, and just tries to sneakily convince he knows what hes doing and is in charge. He is a well paid figure head, nothing else. Indeed I think we would have fared a lot worse had he actually got involved.

Lol ! this story is way out there. They know its shit because they try to renounce it at the end of the article.

Teenagers on mopeds, or motorcyclists in general that cut you up, weaving in and out of traffic. If I end up in the nick it will be for ramming one of them off the road. Cunts. Grrrr.

Ballack A Revelation At Chelsea
Fulham Broadway replied to warnie_666's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Lol, is that a Lineker quote ? Quite a lot have been called that -Ray Wilkins, Hasselbaink etc to start with. Bundesliga and Europen football in general has always been about slow, slow, quick -the patient build up. Hes adapted now, the cerebral Ballack replaced with the action man, and it seems Shevchenko might have turned the corner as well. -
Nah I think you're right, our support was fantastic and sung all the way through. Probably determined the result to an extent. Sterling performance on the pitch, the defence and Cech should take special creditand especially Maka sat in front. When you look at who was missing as well Lampard, Essien, Mikel, Terry, Drogba, Shevchenko, Ballack etc. And what a ball from Malouda !?! Similar to Lampards for Drogbas briilaint goal a week or two back. I hope Anelkas luck changes -thats two crossbars hes nearly broken in two games.

Good points E. If you go to Africa you also experience some of the most friendly people, more so than in Europe
-
Yeah but I suppose the UK would be just as harsh on a couple of Ghanaian girls they caught in this country. It'll come down to some diplomacy between the governments and then they'll be freed probably. As far as Africa it's easy to slag it off, but dont forget the whole continent was 'owned' by European countries, which stripped it of oil, minerals, assets, slaves etc. Puppet dictators put in place to serve Western interests, and now unsurprisngly theres a lot of resulting chaos. So its no wonder you get decisions that seem strange.

It was rampant that season. To me Chelseas best ever after 1970 FA Cup win, better than the titles even in terms of euphoria. No wonder Neal had a heart attack months later Yup the 5-0 trashing of Leeds, 5-0 against Derby and 4-0 against Newcastle -Keegans last game for them if I remember rightly, and he was taking some stick. All those Geordies with those big foam rubber hands.
-
Lol, pulling the plug would be hilarious Mourinho always said its important, but fourth in priority. Yeah Evertons recent history not as good as ours, but they've won the League six times more.
-
True, Didnt know he was a shirtlifter in BreakBack Mounting even though I'd seen it.

The Sun, Chelsea website, heads or tails ?

Grant last night taunted Everton fans by saying they are a small club. Big Bad Avram Grrr. (Daily Mirror) Also, The Toad has hinted he couldn't care less about the Carling Cup. Same as Wenger. (The Sun)
-
Well hes only had small roles and anyone saying on this forum they knew who he was before he died is telling porkies No Country for Old Men was released this week.
-
Non-fat Frank Lampard is set to suffer more injury heartbreak after he tore a muscle in his right thigh again. He's set to be out of action for at least a month. The Star
-
Lol, and bar them for life.
-
Lol, Still stick to my argument that noone basically knew who the fucker was till he died. BTW saw ''No Country for Old Men'' last night -seen it ? Best film for years -up there with Vendetta.

His extra time semi goal against Blackbum was a highlight, meant we were in the FA Cup final, and lets hope he can score another superb free kick at Goodison again tonight ! He oozes quality and is one of the Worlds Greats
