  1. . QPR chief executive officer Philip Beard said on Thursday that the club are looking to leave Loftus Road for a new stadium, preferably in the Shepherd's Bush area. That could only really mean White City? Fulham were also reportedly looking for a move away from Craven Cottage but have recently said they will improve the ground. Could this be the reason why the club have given the CPO very little time to take it all in? Why wasn't this mentioned last week at the time the offer was made public. Have the club already earmarked White City and don't want QPR to beat them to it or does it mean a ground share with them? There's too many questions that need answering and if Abramovich wants these shares so much surely he should be turning up at the General Meeting and telling it how it really is. I for one don't trust Buck or Gourlay and until Abramovich comes out publically and lets us know what the plans are and what discussions/proposals have already taken place then the only vote that can be made at this stage imo is a NO vote. Vote NO and then let the club come back with proper answers and then we can start again with proper trueful information to be able to vote on what is the best thing to do for both club and fans
  2. No surprise with the Ron Gourlay question... think there will be some principled opposition to this, some things are worth more than money.. (Posted this survey a week ago in the ''Roman Makes Proposal to Pitch Owners '' thread. Glad someone has put it up again though)
  3. You can see where Wayne gets his striking good looks from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-15196761
  4. Not much really as Abramovichs personal wealth increased by £2.9bn last year. ...they both fleeced the Russian people ...
  5. "Look at Arsenal, since the move there haven't been any complaints there.” ''Ron Harris is employed as an after dinner speaker at the club'' Methinks sir Ron and all employees have had a club briefing Gawd bless 'im
  6. There will be 101 ways round the Financial Fair Play rules, guaranteed. Some clubs will get away with it. and they're so fickle, it will have changed by then. They have problems filling the stadium now, so a 60k seater would be no guarantee. As far as fair play revenue is concerned, that can be merchandise, individual broadcast rights, and as we've seen with Citeh their sponsorship. In an ideal world they will look at revenue as a whole so if they get in 20,000 more people who pay less for the tickets but they make up the revenue on beer etc then that can work, they should also consider that by having a price point which enables the younger generation in they will be guaranteeing attendances over time because the 17 year old who bounces behind the goal today may well turn into the grizzled middle aged boo-er who wants to sit on the half-way line in 40 years time. And it is important to get following football into people's veins if they want to keep a full stadium. I just hope they take things like that into consideration, and dont see TV money as a never ending pot, and a substitute for proper fans/atmosphere. Like I said these things dont matter if you only watch on TV, so no problem
  7. The idea of moving is to make more money so why would they reduce prices. What would be the point of making the same amount of by selling 55k seats at a reduced price when they can make the same money selling 44k at the current prices. it could work -a new stadium with atmosphere -terracing at both ends, cheaper prices, and lets face it the atmosphere at SB is nothing like it used to be -we've just the fantastic history...but more than likely the reality is , this wont be the case There are millions of people who miss out on actually going, and their only experience of Chelsea FC is through millions of pixels on a TV screen. I think for those people its easy to make judgements. Whatever happens, it wont be for quite a while yet though...
  8. Whooa ! Theres a hell of a difference in the Glazers attempts to pay off their debts with a Singapore flotation, and Chelseas CPO association. The CPO was set up specifically so as not to fall into the situation that had left the club at the mercy of speculators. Now I am not saying Roman would just flog the whole thing off one day to property speculators, but who knows ? The CPO prevents this scenario. ( One of) the worst thing Bates did was build that wanky hotel and restauarant complex, which in effect prevented expansion to a 55-60kk venue with access from West Brompton and Fulham Broadway. Mind you If WTC 7 can just 'collapse' .......
  9. I think a lot will initially, and I can imagine Wise waiting to see what the fans do.....
  10. Seem to remember Bates and several players being CPOs. Wise for one. Wonder if they'll be so quick to relinquish them ?
  11. I know people think the sun shines out of Romans arse, but theres a court case going on that could see him have to repay £3bn. (that said his money increased by an extra £2,9bn last year). It doesnt sit pretty with me that one person can have complete ownership and say in the club. The CPO owners shouldnt sell, but we will be offered the best price no doubt.....
  12. Ideally that would be great. But lets not forget the consensus now, everyone agrees, that football is first and foremost a business, with the actual kicking a ball about bit way down the list. Therefore we know the corporate money making side of a new stadium will be the priority. Great big corporate boxes, and tax incentives for block corporate bookings, and no tickets wouldnt get cheaper. It is therefore critical that the Fans Forum are consulted and their wishes acted on, all along the process. For me the selling of CPO shares, giving one man a complete say in what happens to the club I am not happy about Heres a survey about the move/ CPO sell off to complete if you want.... http://thechels.net/2011/10/the-burning-question-chelsea-the-cpo/
  13. His attitude is perfect. You cant fault the commitment, and you're right about the OG just a case of when not if -the same as he'll get caught up field and we'll concede. Looks a bit of a mentalist, but most genius footballers do as well.....
  14. Hes a decent sort whos been going since Kerry scored in front of the North bank The atmosphere is pretty shit now and it would get worse unless criteria were adhered to that no other club has done. ie The Fans Forum is consulted all the way along. Thats the most important. The Premier League was worth £302 m from tv at its inception they now get £3.2 bn, if clubs just rely on that they're foolish. There was a ruling today where pubs can show streams from Greek TV. So theres no guarantee that players can be bought for 40 50 m on the back of TV rights. Fans and atmosphere made these clubs, which is why you've Ahmed and Iqbal watching all round the World. Yer Romans and Glazers are just buying a brand, they shouldnt forget the roots of it.
  15. . Cechs training has changed, for the better. He now throws or kicks the ball out immediately which contributes to, and is instrumental in the new attacking style
  16. No not a clumsy defender, well no more than any other. just gives 110% at the moment so gets caught Reminds me of, and is very similar to Frank Lebouefs style of play....
  17. . .......Chels most improved player. He has just been getting better and better. He's not perfect and yes he does get occasionally caught out with high balls to the far post, but this season he's been fairly solid defensively and very good going forward. Glad to hear we're looking to extend his contract. He's definitely benefited from a Portuguese coach, better fitness condition and the power of Ramires. He doesn't concern me half as much as he did last season and my confidence grows in him.
  18. Spot on. Gooner comments ''i hope for all your sakes you dont, unless your club gets half a dozen of you lot in on the planning for things..our club royally fucked everythng up, from the design,to moving ST holders, more lads in the pubs than ground these days. and we got less of the cheapER seats on sale match to match than when we was at Highbury..hate the place. i could type 100 reasons whats wrong with it...good luck '' i put his comments because hes respectable, and theres a definite corrolation between them moving and slipping down the pecking order. You need more than TV money and a rich benefactor -without the fans and atmosphere a club becomes a soulless shadow of its former self. if the move happens I just hope its given every consideration, and not just money
  19. Capello has had to drop Ferdinand as he'd been fobbed off that he had no skeletons in the cupboard and in no way had been porking someone behind his wifes back for 13 years, unlike that duplicitous rapscallion Mr Terry. My view on Englands forward line for goalscoring glory would be Welbeck alongside Sturridge, with Shrek playing in the hole behind them....
  20. Need to work on set pieces, I don't think Cech helps though - would like to see him come and punch a few more. We had this same set piece problem a couple of seasons back and managed to work on it, so I think a bit of work on the training ground should solve it.
  21. The things people do for money ! Just looked on Wiki and Campbells last entry is ''Campbell now collects old AHU filters from various Maintenance companies across London''. Not quite in Mourinhos league then....
  22. Good performance -but to be fair the team at the bottom of the league were fucking awful. They were run ragged, and taught a football lesson today.
  23. I feel the media have some kind of agenda with Frank anyway, just jumping on the back of the anti-Chelsea/Frank/JT England mong fans. Of course he's coming to the twilight of his career - he's 33!! I don't remember this type of character assasination when Giggs/Scholes were being 'rested' for games. When Fergie does it he's a man management specialist that gets the best out of his players and preserves them. When AVB does it - Frank's over the hill/finished etc...... He was rested at home to Swansea before a testing CL away game to Valencia ffs! Does the media really think that we need Frank to beat Swansea at home?
  24. Didnt know that ! and he ran that Motel where he dressed up as a woman. On old managers, Eddie McCreadie, our Ashley Cole of the 60s and 70s resigned as manager because the board wouldnt give him a company car
