Thats nothing to do with Abramovich though, rather a sad indictment of the game post Hillsboro -
Indeed. Racism does need to be stamped out -but would you equate homophobia ? ie Calling a player a faggot or bender, should they be thrown out the game ? Not having a go, but it comes to something when not one Premier league, or any league player come to that, is comfortable in coming out and saying he's gay.

& yet on another note..anyone on here notice how when theres a loss, loads of petty squabbles break out here on the forum ?? Before Abramovich and Murdochs Sky -Chelsea fans after a loss would gather in great numbers to wreak havoc and great vengeance upon the heads of the opposing fans and their town, thus going home happy and contented. Yay it is written, brothers. -
So Ferdidand has come out and said''I'm sitting on the fence''. Brilliant Thing is with this, some of it will stick even if hes exonerated. Bet you find fucking red supporting journos are promoting the whole fucking thing.

Nail on head. Its the expectation that they want us to rush into giving up th ground without any consultation makes fans wary.

Pluses and minuses. Abramovich has brought lots of money, which has brought cups and success on the pitch, and the possibility of perhaps a move to a better ground. That money has also brought success, and where there's money you get lots of hangers on -who are business focussed-priotising the selling of merchandise and the 'brand' Chelsea FC. Its now a global brand, not just because of Abramovich and the Kenyons and Gourlays -but primarily because of sattelite communication. The people who watch on TV or the internet is global. The injection of cash means the club isi less dependant on revenue from fans, and the admission is set at a price marketeers have judged to be appropriate to the 'brand'. This has inevitably meant less of the original fans go -either because of teh cost, or because the ground has thousands of gawpers, whos next thing on the agenda is the London Eye or Madame Tussauds. The atmosphere has suffered considerably. It was better before Abramovich came in many ways of cameraderie and shared experience of a result -often a loss, and you didnt have to worry about the expense. However its always better looking back, and we now appear to be in the best position financially of any other club in the League -apart from Man City. but there has to be a pause, and say who benefits ? Is it really so great assosiating yourself with a win of the 'brand' you associate yourself watching on a PC 10 000 miles away ? I would rather see a 1-0 away at Huddersfiled in the rain personally. -
Yes. Good riddance if he walked away because of the no vote-it would show him for what he was. He wont of course. People misconstrue what the CPO want. its not that theyre against a move, just a proper consultation before giving up the protection of the sacred ground that they took ownership of before it was destined to be flats -or condominiums as you Americans say. Dont take this the wrong way, but English fans who have been going to the ground for forty odd years would have a different perspective on events, than an Indian living in the United States who has never been to a match.
-
Sorry, you're not making any sense at all. Apart from the pigeon English, semi-wind up comments or random smileys, there doesnt seem to be any constructive arguments for your contrary position.
-
Why because I put the club first before an owner ? Why is that 'pathetic' ? All you've proved is that you can insult with no logical argument., which isnt that clever really, is it ?
-
The raised eyes smiley thing is presumably your way of saying you put an owner before a club. Are you related to him, a doe eyed hero- worship thing ? homo-erotic type thing ? or just that he has loads of muneeeee ?
-
Agree. I imagine what happened today if viewed in the 'Russian way' was that Gourlay and Buck fucked up. His lackeys didnt do their job. We are bigger than Roman, and he didn't do this for us, he did it for himself and he's had his fun. I actually don't care how he feels. To him Roman comes first, to me Chelsea comes first. Yes he's engineered success for us, but never believe that we are indebted to him or that he cares about the fans. We will be here long after his departure whatever the weather.

Birch lubricated the deal with Abramovich, the debts were written off, and he moved on to Leeds. Abramovich could see a jewel though, and qualification to the CL that year was the catalyst....
-
You mean phobia ? A fear of wealthy people ? No. not at all, quite wealthy myself. Why do you ?
-
Having 10bn is greedy in my eyes. Chelsea were on the up, which is why he bought it rather than Spurs. Yes he might fuck off -but he would then be seen to be childish, throwing his toys out the pram, not listening to the fans that make the club what it is, the fans that go to games and not therefore worthy of being an owner of the club I love, so good riddance.
-
Today he exceeded himself in buffoonery. It was either him or Larry David, not sure He called Chelsea ''a firm'' no not in the hooligfan sense , but in the business sense. Even Gourlay visibly winced. Howver true his vision is -it was stupid to call it that just before the CPO vote. He said that ''Roman had brought the fans back to Stamford Bridge'' Was I hallucinating in that last league game against Liverpool ? He said '' In this day and age the CPO was not needed'' ...err why buy 100 shares then ? For all his rubbish about being a Chelsea fan since 1983, why didnt he buy the shares in the 90s when they were really needed ? When asked why he had bought the shares recently he completetly avoided the question. Highlight of the day was a fan giving him the wanker sign
-
Completely wrong. The club was not on the verge of bankrupty at all. It had qualified for the Champions league -that was one of the factors that made it attractive to the oligarch. How much more do i want the man to do ? If I had £10 000 000 000 yes, thats ten thousand million pounds, and was a chelsea fan I wouldnt think twice about buying a ground -one that had a full consultation with the real fans. To buy a stadium is less than one of his yachts. All this no vote has done has made them negotiate .So good.

"I think all the players would like to dedicate it to John Terry," AVBs take on the victory -
Ken Bates has a point http://www.dailymail...lsea-pitch.html ‘If he wants to build a new stadium it will cost between £500-600m. He could do it out of his own back pocket. He does not need the freehold.’ Also any one going today and intending to vote NO -take passport, driving licence, mortgage statment, DNA swab, CFC membership card...If you're voting YES you dont have to

Ridiculous. Chelsea has never been, and is not a racist club. http://img380.images...53/image8pk.jpg
