  1. Thats true Laylabelle -will probably arrive later than sooner though I dont think it was too slow -its just FIFA dont want it. They make all the right noises about needing to sort it out, but when you think of a 90 minute match, there must be anything between 20 and 100 incidents that go unnoticed/unpunished. Theirs and other research has shown that all the controversy generated actually entices people to watch the game more.
  2. Think FIFA used it for a Youth WC and they deemed it too slow. The reality is that controversy generates more interest and emotion -and they're afraid Football would be too sanitised
  3. Thats the system that I mentioned above. The concept is good but FIFA dont rate it.. It probably is a question of when not if, but goal line assistants help....
  4. Blimey thats some tale -and enough to put most people ever going to football again -meeting Captain Birdsye. ...and the Millwall stuff pretty bad as well. I think theres a love /hate relationship going on with Master Bates with most fans of that era. Yes he bought the club for £1 and rescued it .., but he saw most fans as an irritation, hence he wanted to bring in electric fences. He is also an out and out money man, no altruism with his football dealings -pure 'whats in it for me?' as Leeds fans will testify. But...had he not bought the club and its debts, a real possibility it would have beeen sold to developers and no Abramovich -or the ''Russian Shyster'' as Bates called him Welcome by the way !
  5. FIFA regularly block this -even the better Cairos GLT system. It might have something to do with surveys and studies showing controversy actually generates more interest in the game, than if decisions are clear cut, therfore generating more revenue
  6. Its an indication of how hes gone up in fans estimation by gauging the moans about the three match ban. He seems fired up now and I thought initially a 3 match lay off could make him El Sulko -but as long as he plays in the CL then the momentum is there, and it looks like hes back to the player he once was
  7. Low centre of gravity , like all dwarfs, able to twist and turn, enhanced by years of growth hormone drugs. Still not a bad player and we should put in a cheeky bid of £8 million.
  8. Well done Ollie It'd be unusual for noone to get the push -could even be Mancini if they dont win anything. As for my bets, pile of pants lost a fat wedge. Cest la vie
  9. Beautiful city. Jose Luis Torrente - ''Born and usually resident in Madrid, Spain, José Luis Torrente is an ugly, bald, overweight, dirty, corrupt, lying, fascist, racist, chauvinistic and anticommunist retired cop'' Lol had to look that up...
  10. Agreed. Happy with a draw there. Also their fans get well behind them - PS the Spanish cops are cunts as well
  11. Ramires no question. I said before the start of the season, he will be the Player of the Season, and barring injuries I stick with that
  12. I just dont think young blokes are doing themselves any favours in following a fashion. If they're covered up thats fine -but the number of geezers I see with ones on their necks who are, shall we say, not in a job is incredible. They seem to adopt an ''attitude'' as well, a swagger, mmm impressive -now is this due to the tattoo or is the tatoo due to the attitude ? Either way they are laughable. Perhaps thats who the snoods are for. I blame David cunting Beckham.
  13. Inspired performance, which showed why we should have at least acquired a point at man Utd. I am a bit concerned about the defending from set pieces. eg free kicks allowing the back line forward to try and catch them offside means backpeddling. This is proving costly Also no ones on the posts at corners ! Only a matter of time before this comes unstuck. Our corners are always outswinging -try a bit of variation. On the positive Balti Pies are back ! So thats why Fat Frank is slowing down, again
  14. Cheers tortilla. Yes definitley trailing Meireles. Bad example to set (perhaps its me getting old) but - young blokes round our way covered in ink, they'll do well in interviews for work !! , whereas multi millionaires like Meireles dont need to worry about prostituting themselves in the job market and can look how they want
  15. Now that is special. Inspired by Super Dan Petrescu no doubt....
  16. Thats true though I think it would probably be nearer £20-25m they'd be trying to get if he was still in contract. Cant believe Arsenal offered £7m and expected a result
  17. Spot on with Anelka -can see him and Kalou with one on. You've bought Torres ? Whilst we're on that why's he got NORA up his arm, was he a Last of the Summer Wine fan ?
  18. http://www.chelseamegastore.com/stores/chelsea/products/product_details.aspx?pid=86702&cid=12860 Almost as bad as Chelsea Ladies Knickers they sold in the 80s. Still useful to strangle tourists who are sat in front of you....
  19. Be pretty amazed if no manager gets the push to be honest This weekend; Celtic West Ham Brum Boro Chels Lump on
  20. It probably would be a worthwhile signing -six years younger than Terry -though not in the same league I hasten to add. I'm not convinced by Owen Coyle though, maybe just wanting to get more money out of Arsenal....
  21. Being lined up for a January bid according to some media....
  22. Would like to see him tested in front of the back four...
  23. Thats something JT knows about. Its like when I knocked myself out when Bridge scored that goal against the gooners....
