I really have to say he looks the real deal. I remember the other day we were discussing if he is worth the 70m Leicester will quote. Given LB is one of the few positions we neither have a high-class playe rnor world-class talent ready, he really could be the kind of VVD-style signing where a player adds exactly what we need. In Chilwell's case it is his composure and deliveries. As for your list I agree 80% but i am unsure about Sancho and would still rather have a left-footed winger.

Chilwell hattrick of assists. kane with another goal. torrid defending by Montenegro though allowing free headers all ove rthe place
-
Kane still starting despite Tammy and Vardy being in way better form.... Southgate indeed has his favourites. But at least Tammy is rested this way. Chilwell not always magic, really overestimated himsel fwith that run and did not get back into position quickly enough the montenegro keeper is having the best game of his life as well 2-0 still Chilwell's delivieries are cream of the crop

Lol anyone trying to sign him can fuck right off. He is contracted to us till he is 32 we have all the leverage here. When he signed that contract he knew he was comitting his best years to us and he has not failes to win at least a trophy per season since. Only a crazy 200m bid would make me consider.
-
He's 19. He will always have a run of bad form from time to time. What is more worrying is that he appeas to be a bot of an arrogant diva from numerous rumours. Hope he will get that ironed out
-
Weird statements. Puli and CHO think their game is only shooting and crossing? I see how Willian is important to lamps. Before his inclusion we were ve3y wasteful in posession and vulneranle on the right. He has given us some stability..plus he is playing his best football in his carerr. His decision making has improver massively. I guess he is a necessary evil right now. Still should not get a new contract
-
Obviously a huge test. The first game we will probably have distinctly less posession. We should be clever and not give them any space, not committing too many men forward. hope we try a bit more of a counter attacking approach. Trying to be more solid first. James should retain his place but maybe Azpi pn the left, probably Jorginho back in. That is if we do not encounter a ton of injuries in the intl break. Glad to have Kante back as well.
-
Good performcee again. Forced the first goal with that great run and incisive pass.
-
So proud of the team. The ref was as shit as predicted (no VAR for potential pen incidents, fk for ayew) but the players kept their cool and were clinical with our few chances. So mature. Massive 3 points before the int break.
-
I guess they do not want it that bad
-
Great battle. Vital 3 points. Ref and VAR gave us nothing but we still soldiered on. The attitude on this team is top notch. Impressive, mature performance turning "one of these days" around to make it an assured 2-0 win.
-
Obviously he is not gonma qualify for CL otherwise. I am rooting for Wolves tho. They always show sublime fighting spirit in Europe, they clearly cherish the occasion. Btw that Slovakian goalie they played yesterday made some mad saves...Dominik Greif...till only 22 and had kept a cleansheet in half of his professional games so far..maybe worth a bid

Groin surgery now? Dafuq has he been doing the past 2 months if not eecovering from groin treatment?

So gonna happen. Gazza not scored in ages. We will be under huge scrutiny on set pieces. Milivojevic deliveries to Tomkins, Cahill, Kouyate etc defended by our kamikaze backline will be chaos. Still got to win this somehow. If we manage to win this we will either have a 9point gap on Arsenal or leapfrog Leicester. We will either close the gap to Liverpool or ManCity. The former would make PL less suspenseful so you can bet your ass on the FA corrupting the ref and rigging VAR to an unprecedented extent. It will be an absolute battle vs 14men and VAR. I guess we will have to score 4 goals for one to stick amidst VAR checks. So take those bloody chances. Dont lose the ball in stupid areas. Dont commit stupid fouls. So Barkley and Alonso the two braindeads in chief should be farther away from the pitch than the FA are from their moral compass.
-
Absolute madness. Big mistake from Lamps having Kante as an unused sub vs Ajax, just should have let him out and Deschamps guessing. If he returns injured again he should consider quitting France nt. It is a 50:50 now if he indeed returns injured we can probably forget about him for this season. If he stays fit we profit because they made him match fit for us.
-
His resilience will come in handy for the rest of his career. It has already earned him a starting spot given he would hardly been given the chance from the go if RLC and Kante had been fit fornthe starr of the season
-
I liked that too. The goalie probably would not have saved it even if he had gone the right way. This is critical as at some point a keeper will wait for Jorginho to make his mind up and then jump. Jorginho knows he thus has to strike the ball well enough to give a late jumper no chance. We have seen this before with Hazard and Müller taking pens, waiting for the keeper to pick a side and strike the ball blindly. If the goalie does not switch a side, they strike with power, usually to their left. Jorginho has developed a unique variation of that with this silly hop. Usually you would require a strong standing foot to make a shot but Jorginho still manages to generate some power, hopping into his shot. But what the hop does is buying him more time to look at the keeper while still being able to look down at the ball for a last moment.

I like his awareness, delivery, set pieces, overall skillfulness and the fact that he is left footed. But he is a tad too unathletic for the style we are playing and does not contribute enough defensively. No wonder Azpi had so much attacking join down his side. He is also one of those players who tend to stay too long on the ball although not as bad as with Barkley. Apparently he had a release clause of just €30m in the summer which no club was willing to pay. Bayern even were in talks but declined. That smells a bit fishy.
-
I would love that. Wenger using his voodoo to sell the Bayern board 4th place trophy as the ultimate goal as stay in charge for 15 years😄
-
If we had bribed the ref he sure as hell would have let Azpi's winner stand. Also that picture does not proof anything. First, one does not see the ball properly so the timing could be off, second it was checked by VAR, third the lifted heelmof the defender looks over the red line. I guess both teams can be somewhat content with the result and still can advance on own accord
-
Yup, he has the lukaku/aubameyang disease. The bigger the occasion, the more pressure the more likely he is to miss. This does not make him a bad striker. but the absolute great ones like Agüero, Ronaldo, Eto'o actually have a better conversion rate in big fixtures because they are able to raise the intensity even more. As I said in the beginning. the number of goals will not be a concern for Tammy in the end. But is he the striker to win us big titles?
-
Yes, that is exactly who you are. I did not say he is not good enough because of today. But he was poor adn yes he cost us. With an own goal that showcased his poor coordination as well as a plethora of missed chances.
-
care to give me videos of the headers being contested then. he had massive height advantage about all ajax players, when he jumps for a ball that those cant reach and they do not engage him, it is a free header. You can not possibly deny that he is absolutely wank at heading. For a tall striker being shit at heading like Peter Crouch can be your undoing. When you are this lanky your advantage in reach will be somewhat neutralized by taking longer to sort your feet out (unless you are a rare talent like Ibra). Today was an example of this. When you then also suck at heading you basically have no height advantage. Today Tammy's lack of coordination and heading ability cost us.
-
all our attackers were poor today, including Pulisic. No wonder our goals were scored by 2 defenders and 2 pens by Jorginho
-
nope he missed a series of free headers. and he is not PL top scorer. But given the chances he had he should be. Only becasue DD made a meal out of that BArca semi which obviously was way mroe grave does not make Tammy good enough.
