  1. poor goal to concede in the end but did not really matter. we had our chances. once again should have been more clinical and more composed. We are a bit like Arsenal under Wenger post 2004 (and now Emery). But iw il give this time before calling anyone out. I will reserve my final judgement on this team when it is complete. I mean look at Mount when he asked Frank if he should take the shot. If a players is confident enough to score from 30m vs the 2nd best goalie in the world then he would not ask. We lack leaders on the pitch. You win nothing with boys is true to some extent. Experience is what makes those little margins.
  2. thez know without Jorginho no one there to nail the passes to beat their offside trap right at the half way line
  3. ManCity's game management is excellent albeit they are maknig errors everywhere (no wonder they lost vs Pool baldy). They completelz took the sting out of the game with their tme wasting. We should have been this composed when we had the lead. really blew our chance today.
  4. damn that is some pessimism. We still have 9 points over them and a long season to go. Mourinho will get mauled soon enough.
  5. damn that was painful to watch. what a torrid performance. It is not that he did not have enough service. he just fell over or was offside. And when he buttdialed that Ederson clearance wide, he was not even paying attention.
  6. for the small teams this squad is good enough. but despite some players like Abraham, Mount overachieving what we expected our weaknesses remain the same LB CB RW ST every big match makes this evident
  7. Ref once again fucking us just as that horrible pitch and.Sucking up Pep all the way
  8. I hope it will be Mourinho. His idea of football is so anachronistic and the opposite of what Poch tried to play there. He will freeze out their best players, create a toxic atmosphere, play Dier on the wing and leave them with a mightx League Cup medal but on a relegation place in 15 months. Allegri on the other hand would make Tottenham a completely different animal with his versatile style.
  9. There are only two ways we beat them. Either by luck and clinical counters like 2017 or by playing out of our skins and outpacing them 1vs1 like in 2014. We need to defend for our lives and wait for our chances. They are weak in the centre but we should not make the same mistakes as in OT amd overcommit
  10. Lol Alonso improving us on defending set pieces really cracked me up... He actually provokes those set pieces by committing stupid fouls in and around the area as evident in almost every game he plays. That is why Lamps dropped him as soon as Emerson was fit again. Mind Emerson is not exactly a world class player himself. Still Lamps even took out Alonso at HT vs Ajax because he was so useless and committed stupid errors that led to goals. It is not even that Alonso is a bad footballer. When you see him in training it is obvious how much times he has dedicated to improving his technique and given time and space he can be quite skillful. But mentally and physically he is not made for the Premier League. Italy would probably suit him best. I feel he has not learned anythign in terms of game intelligence, regressed rather and his pace has obviously not got better either.
  11. Shay given was such an average goalie... how come he is now a great gk coach? Also Christophe Lollichon who Petr was always very fond of is still at the club...
  12. this could become a record. 8 more to go to equal Germany vs San Marino
  13. I really have to say he looks the real deal. I remember the other day we were discussing if he is worth the 70m Leicester will quote. Given LB is one of the few positions we neither have a high-class playe rnor world-class talent ready, he really could be the kind of VVD-style signing where a player adds exactly what we need. In Chilwell's case it is his composure and deliveries. As for your list I agree 80% but i am unsure about Sancho and would still rather have a left-footed winger.
  14. Chilwell hattrick of assists. kane with another goal. torrid defending by Montenegro though allowing free headers all ove rthe place
  15. Kane still starting despite Tammy and Vardy being in way better form.... Southgate indeed has his favourites. But at least Tammy is rested this way. Chilwell not always magic, really overestimated himsel fwith that run and did not get back into position quickly enough the montenegro keeper is having the best game of his life as well 2-0 still Chilwell's delivieries are cream of the crop
  16. Lol anyone trying to sign him can fuck right off. He is contracted to us till he is 32 we have all the leverage here. When he signed that contract he knew he was comitting his best years to us and he has not failes to win at least a trophy per season since. Only a crazy 200m bid would make me consider.
  17. He's 19. He will always have a run of bad form from time to time. What is more worrying is that he appeas to be a bot of an arrogant diva from numerous rumours. Hope he will get that ironed out
  18. Weird statements. Puli and CHO think their game is only shooting and crossing? I see how Willian is important to lamps. Before his inclusion we were ve3y wasteful in posession and vulneranle on the right. He has given us some stability..plus he is playing his best football in his carerr. His decision making has improver massively. I guess he is a necessary evil right now. Still should not get a new contract
  19. Obviously a huge test. The first game we will probably have distinctly less posession. We should be clever and not give them any space, not committing too many men forward. hope we try a bit more of a counter attacking approach. Trying to be more solid first. James should retain his place but maybe Azpi pn the left, probably Jorginho back in. That is if we do not encounter a ton of injuries in the intl break. Glad to have Kante back as well.
  20. Good performcee again. Forced the first goal with that great run and incisive pass.
  21. So proud of the team. The ref was as shit as predicted (no VAR for potential pen incidents, fk for ayew) but the players kept their cool and were clinical with our few chances. So mature. Massive 3 points before the int break.
  22. Great battle. Vital 3 points. Ref and VAR gave us nothing but we still soldiered on. The attitude on this team is top notch. Impressive, mature performance turning "one of these days" around to make it an assured 2-0 win.
  23. Obviously he is not gonma qualify for CL otherwise. I am rooting for Wolves tho. They always show sublime fighting spirit in Europe, they clearly cherish the occasion. Btw that Slovakian goalie they played yesterday made some mad saves...Dominik Greif...till only 22 and had kept a cleansheet in half of his professional games so far..maybe worth a bid
  24. Groin surgery now? Dafuq has he been doing the past 2 months if not eecovering from groin treatment?
