  1. Giroud is never really sharp. also he has played plenty of matches for France, so he should be match fit.
  2. I don't wanna hear any more complaints from Giroud over lack of playing time. The dude is dire
  3. no one even knew that guy before. he is not really good, fumbling every shot, but we make him look good by not following up sharpley enough.
  4. Obviously Pellegini took out the calamity Roberto and the stand-in Martin will have the game of his life.
  5. Form does not equal height/reach tho. Tall goalies can be out of form too, you know. His wrists can actually be trained for more stability. But I guess coaching would help. Still he probably is not good enough.
  6. I dont understand that Lamps somewhat defends him, singling him out with this reoccuring "I like Ross" like he is morphing into 90ies Jennifer Aniston lol. Anyway just like the character Ross should stop being a man child wuss and take responsibility. But I have given up hope. Lamps should stop singling him out tho.
  7. Usually Bats, Tammy and Emerson do not look like never having played footy before. But the bigger the higher the pressure the more errors players with a weak mentality make. Maybe for Tammy, Emerson it was just bad luck bur the others have a history of underachieving when counted on in these occasions.
  8. Hopefully and probably not. Like every Russian player this chap is asolute crap.
  9. should have scored one of those shots. Other than that did not much wrong or right. Back to the usual , useless Willian I guess. Lets hope that CHO recovers some form asap.
  10. He wasn't all that during his time in Germany and was prone to the odd mistake. He still is when playing for the NT. It is like a mental blockag, like the one Kepa has in every game^^ btw Kepa is 1cm shorter than ter Stegen if the player profiles on the offical website are correct.
  11. Very few here are overracting rn imo. Most of us expected this loss I suppose. But we keep on stating what is wrong with the team. lack of composure/experience, making costly errors/losing the ball in stupid positions, Kepa and lacking serious individual quality in key positions to win those big matches. Maybe Liverpool, ManCity are a bit ahead of us and we are not really competing against them. More worrying is how we botched those games vs ManUre, Leicester, Valencia and almost Ajax at home. Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester away will be the games this team really will be measrued cos IMO we should be beating them. Today I can not really blame our current team apart from the individual fuck-ups. When you come to the City in this era, you always need luck to win and we had some really bad luck with their goals. The issue is that we currently can not compete with the absolute top even if they just put in an average perofrmance but that has nothing to do with the squad and staff ou thtere but the strucutal problems within our board. So no need to panic. We might no win jack this season with the kids but we will secure top 4, i am convinced of that.
  12. He really is becoming a worry. His number of fumbles and easy to moderately difficult saves he fails to make is appalling. Many do not matter so it is not that evident right now. But if we count every action he should have done better beginning with his ppor fumbles in his 4th game at home vs Arsenal last season till today, I doubt Cech or even Courtois made that many errors costing goals in their whole Chelsea career. Height seems not even be the only issue cos he is erratic with both high and low shots.
  13. They turning piont was obviously that triple deflected fluke own goal forced by KDB and the error from Jorginho. stuff like this can always happen but 1. why were we so high up the pitch? not enough bodies back. you can not get countered away from home when you are 1-0 up. We really should have defended that league longer and make City sweat. Right after the goal they completely sat back not to concede another one and to counter. We completely stepped into their trap 2. Even when things like these happen (they usually do after set pieces for us) we should not lose our heads but that is what we did. We hung our heads, dirfted out of the match and got punishes. After that it was a walk in the park for city, cos their composure allowed them what we were not able to do, see out the match by good game management.
  14. poor goal to concede in the end but did not really matter. we had our chances. once again should have been more clinical and more composed. We are a bit like Arsenal under Wenger post 2004 (and now Emery). But iw il give this time before calling anyone out. I will reserve my final judgement on this team when it is complete. I mean look at Mount when he asked Frank if he should take the shot. If a players is confident enough to score from 30m vs the 2nd best goalie in the world then he would not ask. We lack leaders on the pitch. You win nothing with boys is true to some extent. Experience is what makes those little margins.
  15. thez know without Jorginho no one there to nail the passes to beat their offside trap right at the half way line
  16. ManCity's game management is excellent albeit they are maknig errors everywhere (no wonder they lost vs Pool baldy). They completelz took the sting out of the game with their tme wasting. We should have been this composed when we had the lead. really blew our chance today.
  17. damn that is some pessimism. We still have 9 points over them and a long season to go. Mourinho will get mauled soon enough.
  18. damn that was painful to watch. what a torrid performance. It is not that he did not have enough service. he just fell over or was offside. And when he buttdialed that Ederson clearance wide, he was not even paying attention.
  19. for the small teams this squad is good enough. but despite some players like Abraham, Mount overachieving what we expected our weaknesses remain the same LB CB RW ST every big match makes this evident
  20. Ref once again fucking us just as that horrible pitch and.Sucking up Pep all the way
  21. I hope it will be Mourinho. His idea of football is so anachronistic and the opposite of what Poch tried to play there. He will freeze out their best players, create a toxic atmosphere, play Dier on the wing and leave them with a mightx League Cup medal but on a relegation place in 15 months. Allegri on the other hand would make Tottenham a completely different animal with his versatile style.
  22. There are only two ways we beat them. Either by luck and clinical counters like 2017 or by playing out of our skins and outpacing them 1vs1 like in 2014. We need to defend for our lives and wait for our chances. They are weak in the centre but we should not make the same mistakes as in OT amd overcommit
  23. Lol Alonso improving us on defending set pieces really cracked me up... He actually provokes those set pieces by committing stupid fouls in and around the area as evident in almost every game he plays. That is why Lamps dropped him as soon as Emerson was fit again. Mind Emerson is not exactly a world class player himself. Still Lamps even took out Alonso at HT vs Ajax because he was so useless and committed stupid errors that led to goals. It is not even that Alonso is a bad footballer. When you see him in training it is obvious how much times he has dedicated to improving his technique and given time and space he can be quite skillful. But mentally and physically he is not made for the Premier League. Italy would probably suit him best. I feel he has not learned anythign in terms of game intelligence, regressed rather and his pace has obviously not got better either.
  24. Shay given was such an average goalie... how come he is now a great gk coach? Also Christophe Lollichon who Petr was always very fond of is still at the club...
  25. this could become a record. 8 more to go to equal Germany vs San Marino
