great cross from alonso to set up the opposition counter attack. sometimes you would think he plays for the opposition.

never been a fan of his. He makes tremendous saves as well as horrible errors. That's the mark of an average goalie.

James was poor vs Utd though. Azpi on great form before. Emerson is obviously not fit enough yet. we look like conceding from every set piece. that goal is on kepa though.

Promes, Ziyech, tadic, van de Beek and to some extent Neres, that is one hell of an attacking lineup. Make no mistake, they are a great side.

we really should reconsider assigning Tammy to the near post when defending set pieces. This is his second own goal from that situaiton already.

that sounds reassuring. Alonso, and partly Zouma and Barkley are the only players nowadays I feel like close to a heart attack every time they touch the ball in our own half. Everyone else is so comfortable on the ball I would trust them to control it on a beermat.

IMO we need a proper old fashioned dm as a special team utility player. An imposing presence and hard tackler. Not to start games regularly but for situtations were we are threatened to get physically dominated by the oppostion or need to shut down shop. Ideally this guy could also play football. Someone like Rodri or younger Javi Martinez would be ideal. Chilwell is a solid enough defender. better than Emerson and Alonso

dafuq why is Emerson not even in the squad.... really hope it is no new injury and Lamps is just phasing him back in slowly. Alonso was an absolute clusterfuck in his last 2 games.

Said it before will say it again. Stay clear. His end product for an offensive player is average at best. This season CP have enjoyed a more than decent start and he has been anonymous, no goals just two assists. I think he has found his level and he would fail again at a big club. Would be a very expensive flop as well.

Nice little player. Great dribbler, good pace, can actually cross the ball with either foot. As he is left footed i could see him deployed in the Willian role on the right. Needs to make another step up in consistency to be realistically considered tho.
