yup. i think playing out from the back is overrated anyway. JT and Carvalho also never played it out from the back and they were hardly bad on the ball. The risk/chance relation is just so much better with humping it upfield.

I think not playing out from the back has helped us massively today. Kepa has humped it upfield every fucking time and Giroud has been able to nail down 30% or so of the long balls. Vs players not named van dijk it will probably be closer to 50%. no need to risk it with unskilled passers like our cbs when you have a tower up front.

It’s true. You can not shift a clubs identity by just switching out coach and a few players. The whole club from youth team to physics has to make the switch. We hired pragmatic managers and gave them flair players then we hired offensive managers with a stark phillosophy and gave them shit or no players. we gave Sarri Jorginho and Kepa at least. Give Lamps two dream signings and then he should be judged.
